WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11TH CONTINUED
Our next house was Major Sweet Candy Factory.
For those of you who attended HHN in 2022 you will remember the Major Sweets Candy Comapany Scare Zone. It was a very colorful Scare Zone. The back story on the Scare Zone was that all the kids who ate The Major Sweets Candy turned into killers during the regular Halloween Town Parade.
The parade floats were in disarray do to kids going mad.
Here are a few photos from the Scare Zone in 2022.

Now onto this year’s house Major Sweets Candy Factory.
This years house is actually at the Major Sweets Candy Factor on the outskirts of town.
The year is 1955 and Major Sweet has set the date October 29th to lure the children from the Progress County Public Schools to the Factory for a field day visit.
Major Sweets has held a secret grudge against this particular school because when he was a child he attended this school and felt he was not treated very nicely.
The children and their Chaperone’s show up for the visit.
You can tell there are little fury friends in the Factory.
This is Mrs. Treats office. See the hand in her file drawer.

You can read Mrs. Treats notes of things to do.
Major Sweets office. This appears to be a diagram of the parade route.
Various bad chemicals they are using in the candy to poison the unsuspecting kids.
The candy bowl on the corner of the desk will blow air if I remember correctly to scare anyone who actually tries to take a piece of candy.

Jack pointed out that even the wallpaper was part of the design.
This is the tasting room and the children are meeting their terrible end in here.
You can see the red button on the end of the table in this room. You can punch that and the person behind you will get a little squirt of water. After seeing the vomit everywhere it lets you know what affect they want you to feel.
I had forgotten how gory this house was.

I’m enjoying your report. I was at Universal the same time as you!
I love hearing the in depth back story to the houses so far! In 2022 my sister and I did the 3 house tour and loved it.
Two of my favorite houses this year were Eternal Bloodlines and the Goblins Feast!
I also love The Boathouse in DS, we have always had a delicious meal there.

So good to hear you and your sister enjoyed the 3 house tour in 2022. Those tours really bring the houses to life.
I love the Universal Monsters so Eternal Bloodlines was high on my list of favorites as is Goblins Feast. Both of them are really well done. I really like the story line for Eternal Bloodlines.
Seeing Goblins Feast on the UMH Tour was awesome. I enjoyed seeing so many things that were lost to me in the dark.
The Boathouse meal was such a nice one. I was really impressed by how delicious everything we ordered was. I will definitely go back. What I have read so far is that everyone likes the food therefore. So good to hear you like the food there also.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11TH CONTINUED
After we were done in the Major Sweets Candy Factory we headed back to the theatre were we met to start the tour. We were excused to go and grab a bite to eat.
The last couple of years I have gone to the Today Cafe. It is easy in and out for me as far as the distance from the theatre and getting a quick bit to eat.
It was not busy so I walked past the dessert case and I noticed there were not as many Halloween treats in the case this year.
I’am usually a creature of habit with food. Of the sandwiches I had tried so far I like the Bulls and Bears the best, but I try to push myself out of ordering the same thing all the time. So I ordered the Hoda’s chopped muffaletta. I have had a Muffaletta in New Orleans before. It is kind of the King of sandwiches without a doubt.
I ordered the sandwich and some fruit.
I did not like the sandwich the flavors were off. So I just ate the fruit. Also the soft drink machine was down so no Coke Zero. So I bought a water. I could have just taken the sandwich back and ordered something else, but It would have put me close on the time of getting back.
So after I finished I headed back to the theatre and had a bathroom break to freshen up and we were off to our next house.
Our next house was INSIDIOUS. This would be the start of the next three houses that are closest to the front of the park.
I had not seen any of the movies, but Jack did a great job of sharing highlights of the movies.
It was interesting that these hanging pictures led you along the hallway until you reached the door of the house.
From what Jack the guide shared with us the house had many major scenes from the various movies. This house will focus on latest two movies Insidious: The Last Key and Insidious: The Red Door.
I will take a stab at the back story on this house.
The house tells the story of the Lambert family. Father Josh, Mother Renai, Sons Dalton, Foster and Daughter Kali. Who are haunted by evil spirits after their son Dalton enters a comatose state after being possessed by a demonic spirit.
You enter The Further when you enter the red door which leads to another dimension where ghosts and demons lurk.

The tormented spirits and demons want to tramp humans and still their souls.
Some of the of the bad characters from the Further are The Red-Faced Demon who wants to lure humans into his lair. Key Face who wants to lock his victims in his dark dimension. The Black Bride and the vengeful spirit of the Man who can’t Breathe.

Jack shined his flashlight so we could see the use of the double screen pictures. Where you see the family then the Black Bride.

Dalton and his father are hypnotized to forget the expericence.
In Insidious: The Red Door. Dalton is now in college and is an Art student and draws the Red Door that reawakens his childhood memories and opens the door for the Red-Faced Demon to come after him again.

You hear “Tip Toe Through the Tulips” by Tiny Tim when walking through an area of the house.
