My mother is employed at a Disney Store south of Pittsburgh, PA, and has been told it will be closing in several months due to a poor return at Christmas. It's 'cost-effective'.![]()

Wow, I feel fortunate in that the 2 DS I know about are still open--Rockford CherryVale Mall and Chicago Woodfield. I'm going to the Chicago one for the first time in over a year next month, so will see what type of merchandise is stocked there.
the Rockford store is mainly pre-teen merchandise .....no specialty or high-end collector items anymore. Mostly plush and knick-knacks. I still like to stroll through.
pure crud! They had changed back to the old format in recent years.
. We just made the trip over to Bellevue Washington this weekend... it is close to a 3 hour drive....just to find an empty space in the mall. I was sooo disapointed. The last time we were there which was just a couple months ago it was there and nothing was mentioned of it closing any time soon. I had been planning on making the trip over the whole month of April for an appointment we had. I had my list of to buys and to look for all ready....my DD wanted so bad to get one of the princess swimsuits and I really wanted to check out there beach bags.
I didn't notice the post just befor mine...reguarding the Bel Square store closing. I am still so upset about missing the store on our resent trip I didn't even read the other posts until I finished my 2 cents worth.
