Has there been a decrease in Fantasmic crowds with new 60th nighttime entertainment?

Just wondering if seeing Fantasmic has gotten easier now that Paint the Night, DL Forever fireworks and new WOC are showing? I'll be there in August and still plan on seeing Fantasmic. It's a big favorite of mine.

They're still using the FP system for F! viewing, so in that way I don't think things have gotten any "easier" now that the new 60th entertainment as debuted. Also, they're using the mist screens for the fireworks projections to try an encourage F! viewers to remain in the F! viewing areas for fireworks immediately following the first show. By August things might have calmed down regarding all of the shows, but at this point it still seems like everything is very popular.

We were there last week, and had the Blue Bayou Fantasmic Package. Our viewing area was right next to the fast pass area, which was jammed packed. Our area was almost empty.

I'd be interested to know if you notice a difference after your trip. We are going in late Oct. and I really don't feel like using a FP or waiting in line for an hour. Since we've seen it before I'm hoping we can walk up about 15 mins before it begins and find a seat somewhere.

The FPs for F! aren't linked to the rest of the DL FP system, so you can get one and it doesn't impact your ability to get any other FP in DLR. It's also worth noting that by late-October, DLR will be operating on the non-peak season schedule, which means F! and fireworks are likely to only be presented on weekends (Fri to Sun). WoC tends to be presented nightly and we do not yet know what PtN's schedule will be. In the non-peak season, the weekend only shows tend to be very busy because guests only have three nights (lately it's only been two in October because MHP has been on Fridays) per week to see the shows. Lastly, it's worth noting that there are no "seats" for F! for the general public, unless you mean ground seating. There is a limited amount of ground seating (dining packages and the areas closest to the river in the yellow and blue FP viewing areas), but those are likely to be the most popular with guests, so I wouldn't expect there to be any room left in those areas that close to show time.

I was aware of everything figment_jii said but I will be happy to report back after our trip. With all the masses, stacking out spots for PTN parade and fireworks, I was wondering if the crowds for F! were less elbow to elbow and more spread out. I wonder if they are running out of FP? I need to remember to look at my line app on my phone in the evening to see if it says FP is gone for F!.

I think it will also depend on whether guests are aiming for the first or second showing of F!...still it'll be interesting to see how things go as the summer and fall progresses. Good luck to all!

I'm a frequent Fantasmic watcher and the first show is pretty unaffected, except for the longer availability of fastpasses from before the 60th, but the second show, especially during the week, has been quite empty in the blue and standby sections. Yellow FP is given out first and they go through all of them so that area remains full while blue does not run out and doesn't fill up. It's quite easy to get standing rail in blue section 15 minutes before the show whereas before they were gone as soon as FP sections opened up.

When I was there a week ago, we had no problems getting FP for the first showing on a Saturday. I noticed that they still had FP for the first show throughout the afternoon, so I'm sure it is quite easy to see the shows. We had to wait in line for food a while so we weren't in the viewing area until 8:40/8:45 for the 9:00 show and were still able to get a great spot behind the lights that go up. Most of the other sections were pretty full though. If there's a second show when you go, I would assume it would be the emptiest.

Did Fantasmic with Blue Bayou package this past Thursday. Super-glad we had the package because otherwise it looked to be a mad-house to me. We loved Fantasmic, but were disappointed with the new WOC.
