Has anyone stayed in a handicap accessible room At All Star Music?

We would like to stay at AS Music in February but need to know which buildings have handicap accessible rooms since we travel with a disabled friend? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Cathie & The Gang

Hi, last November we stayed over at All-Star Music, my only request was a king size bed...Room 2424 located on the first floor and was an accessible room this was located in Building 2, Jazz Inn. It did have a tub not just the shower. I believe that the accessible rooms are located through out the resort.

Hi. I have stayed in the handicapped accessible rooms at the All Star Sports, Movies and the newest resort Pop Century. These rooms have a king sized bed with roll in shower. They are really nice and although tight if you have more than 2 people staying in 1 room....it's comfortable. It's completely handicapped accessible. The shelves are lowered in the closet area and there should be a "cooler" in the room for any medications.

The buses from the resorts to the parks have wheelchair lifts on them so your party can stay in their wheelchair to get to the parks

Cathie, in October of 2003, I traveled to WDW as a disabled person. Due to an injury and surgery, I could not walk for 4 months and spent my time in a wheelchair. I almost cancelled my vacation out of concerns over my health and mobility issues, but one of my dear friends here on the Dis (Minybear) outted me on the Dis' disABILITIES! board (click here). The rest, as they say, is history. I went on that trip and had the trip of a lifetime (click here to read my trip report -- I have links in there to photos of the handicap-accessible resort rooms that I stayed in).

If your friend has mobility issues, do make sure to request a handicap-accessible resort room. I stayed in handicap-accessible rooms at Port Orleans - Riverside, the Grand Floridian, and the Beach Club Villas. Those rooms were a lifesaver to me because I needed a roll-in shower (amongst other things).

I am not familiar with the handicap-accessible rooms at the All Stars Resorts, but I bet the folks on the disABILITIES! board can help you out. If you need to book a handicap-accessible room for your friend, place a phone call to your travel agent or Disney and make sure that need is noted on his/her resort room reservation.

I stayed in a room with the wheelchair accesablity at the All- Star Music. We were in the Calypso section, right on the bottom level it was very close to Melody Hall . I think though that they are in every section of the seperate areas.
