I see that Airmiles has base tickets and the tickets with all the options! Just wondering if anyone has used the points to purchase them?

My Mom did a few weeks ago, she only had enough for the base ticket (5 day) she said she got it quick!

We did in 04 and they were sent really quick. Dollar for points not as good a deal as airline tickets but every saving counts.

Yes

Bought it for my upcoming trip.
At least with park passes there is no extra taxes to pay unlike redeeming airmiles for plane tickets.

Are these the blue Airmiles card? How many points do you need to redeem for the park passes? :confused3

Yep, just redeemed for a 7 day park hopper for our next trip down. It came in about 5 business days and I had to sign for it. :thumbsup2

The best part? You can 'upgrade' the ticket when you get to WDW! ;)

I want to say around 3,400??? (7 day hop)

Me too! I think about 2100 points for a 5 day non hopper which I upgraded to a 7 day hopping non expiring. Great deal for me. :yay:

Haven't used them for WDW but just redeemed some for one (so far) DL 4 day park hopper pass. It was nice not to have to pay any extra for taxes. Got my ticket surprisingly quick! would do it again in a heartbeat

I ordered mine online a couple weeks ago and they arrived within only 3 or 4 days. I ordered a 5 day base (2105 airmiles) and a 5 day hopper with all the options (3175) and I plan to upgrade them to a PAP once I get to WDW. I was a complete geek and made an Excel spreadsheet to see which combo would be most cost-efficient, both Airmiles-wise and upgrade-wise when I get to Guest Services. ;)

I wouldn't call that 'geek', I'd call that BRILLIANT and psst...can I get a copy of that spredsheet? ;)

Just check your ticket before you get to disney. My DD's friends mother used her airmiles for 2 "plus" tickets and when we got to Disney there was no plus option on them. She said the woman at airmiles assured her over and over that the tickets had the water park option.

We're travelling to WDW with another family in December. They purchased their 5 tickets (7 day base tickets) through Air Miles, and they arrived via Purolator within a week. We used Undercover Tourist and purchased ours (10 day base tickets) for $210 each (adult price). Ours also arrived very quickly (9 days, 6 business days). We're all happy!

When we get to WDW they'll upgrade to 10 days, and we'll all add the water park option if the weather seems good.

Cheers,

If you redeem airmiles for a 5 day base pass, by when do you have to add the water park option - before the 5th day you use your pass or the 1st day you use your pass?

I think you need to add the extra options before they are used at all(ie. water park, park hopper, non-expiry). You can add extra days at any time.

Actually, a little known fact is that you can add the 'non-expiry' option at any time, including once you have used your ticket.

I really like that option because if you have a 10 day ticket and have only used 5 days, it's really worth it to pay the $165 to 'non-expire' it, vs. $219 to re-purchase another 5 day ticket. :thumbsup2

Of course this upgrade is only allowed within the first 14 days of use.

Where can I find the Disney ticket rewards? I've checked the Airmiles website, even entered "Disney" in the search window and nothing comes up.

Are single day tickets available?

We had tickets in December for our kids (DH and I had annual passes) and added the "no expiry option" on the last day when we discovered we had two unused day and all our "plus" options left.
-no problem.

Another question though-DH and I are going back-annual passes have expired though. Has anyone tried to use someone elses passes (ie. can we use our kids rather than buying new ones for ourselves?)

Good trade value for the airmiles. Plus there's no tax!

:confused3 Does anyone know if we pay tax on the full value of the tickets if we uptrade these at Disney?

We added a day to ours last time and you only pay tax on the cost of the additions.
