Has anyone received the National Free Rental Coupons yet?

We rented a car during the National Car Rental promotion where you received a coupon for a free day for every two days that you rented. We rented a car in September/October for 14 days, so we should get 7 free day coupons. The promo flyer we received said that they would start mailing them out in November, but we haven't received ours yet. Any news on this??? Thanks for your help!

P.S. Of course we want to apply our free days to our next Disney vacation!

My promo said "earn a free rental day certificate for every two qualifying rentals." So, if you had at least 2 qualifying rentals (not days, but 2 different rentals) during their promo you would receive a certificate good for a free one day. This promo is also listed on their website if you care to look into it further.

Right you are, I had to reread that after the OP. Thought I had misread the first time, but, drat, I had not.

That would have been way cool if the OP was correct. Unfortunately that's not the case. We did, however, go to WDW in September then again late October. We have already applied for our free coupon. You have to log in and enter your info and they wrote back and said my free day coupon would be mail at the end of the promotion.

If you logged on, you got credit for one rental and if you rented, that would be two - hence a free day. That's what we did. I received an e-mail in Mid november saying I had earned a free day and that my certificate would be sent the last two weeks of November, but alas, no certificate yet. Actually, it's on my list of things to do this week to call and see where there certificate is.

I'd be interested to know if anyone else received the certificate or the e-mail confirming a certificate on the way.

I called National today and they said they would be mailing them post the extended date of the promotion which is 12/18. It should be noted though that these coupons are only good for a free weekend day - which means rental must be between Thursday noon and Sunday. I was planning to use it for a Monday to Tuesday. Now I've got to figure something else out for that.

There are two promotions going.

FREE DAYS FROM NATIONAL!

Rent from National in the U.S. or Canada between September 1 and December 18, 2003, and earn a free rental day certificate for every two qualifying rentals. To qualify, each rental must start on September 1 or later and be for an intermediate or larger vehicle for a period of two or more days. The free day certificates you earn will be sent to you beginning in November and can be used on any rental from January 2 through June 20, 2004. There's no limit to the number of free days you can earn during this promotion.

PLUS A FREE WEEKEND DAY

Receive one free weekend day on an intermediate through fullsize weekend rental through December 18, 2003 (minimum two weekend days required, maximum rental four days.) Use Coupon ID Number 10008904 when you make your weekend reservation to be sure this rental will also count toward your free rental day certificates.

The first one can be used for any time period.
