Has anyone NOT done an autograph book for their kids?

We have not taken books in many,many years. We instead take our girls hats and they get them autographed. The hats help with the bright sun and when the kids get home they wear them for months. Its easy to throw a couple markers in a bag and with hats were not digging around to find books and trying to get pages open. Its so much easier and the hats look awesome. Have a great trip.

We bought the autograph books there our first couple of trips. Our last trip we figured we'd seen everyone we wanted to get an autograph from, so we didn't bring them. We still took pictures with characters, just no more autographs, and both kids were fine with it.

One option someone posted about previously on another forum was to take a picture matte and have them sign that and then take pictures with the characters, each child individually, and then they have a matted signed frame for their picture. Just a different idea.

I hate autographs, period. They slow everything down. I wish they'd all just go away.

YES! My kids didn't notice them on our first two trips. My daughter did pick up on the fact other people were doing them when we went to SWW. I told her that I wasn't wasting time to get autographs that she would never, ever look at again. She didn't argue with me, thankfully.

It's funny how different kids can be. Our girls love to point out the autographs and wear their hats often. I'm looking forward to this December when they get a new hat done as the ones they have are pretty faded from the wash. It is time consuming to wait in line but at character dining its easy. Our girls love the rides but characters are a major attraction to them and it forces us to slow down and get out of the rush from one ride to the next.
