We named our beagle puppy Stitch. It was one of the only names DD could say at the time. She learned to say Stitch on her first trip to Disney, and we had just gotten back from there. So Stitch it is!
When we got her from the pound, we were really struggling with naming her. But then she started acting all "royal", and Nala popped into my head and our whole family agreed it suited her nicely.
We currently have Simba and Kovu that kittens, and when we had the whole litter we had Kiara, Nala and Sarabi as well. They all went to new homes. We also have the generic "Princess"....... Our Yorkie is named Maia, but is affectionetly nicknamed Stitch - when she gets in one of her "moods".
Sleeping Beauty perhaps... Princess at her finest!
This is a puppy picture of her - notice Stitch on the scarf? I just realized I don't have any of her after grooming photos in Photobucket!
Sarabi, Nala & Kiara (I miss the girls!!!)
Kovu & Simba (this was 3 months ago... Kovu could play one of the lion cubs in the movie... he is HUGE!)
We also named a puppy that we fostered for a couple weeks this summer Daisy - last I heard the family that adopted her kept the name since she was beginning to know it by the time the adopted her!
I have a ragdoll cat who just wandered into our lives a few years back. He has a mask on his face like a raccoon so we named him Meeko after Pocahontas' pet.
Kimmielee: Rajah and Nalah has a triplet, my sister's cat Momma! IDENTICAL!!
