Has anyone had any problems with Hotwire Savings Club

I've wanted to join connections for a while, but read about their double billings and just wanted to ask if anyone has had the same problems with hotwire? Also, what are their savings on Disney Hoppers?

yesterday. No trouble with double billing. However, I use my credit card for purchases(and would recommend that you do too).
I think the double billing problem was with a debit card.

No, no problems.

I joined in September. I have had 4 transactions with Hotwire.

1st was for Target gift cards

2nd for the Breakfast Vouchers for the Character Breakfasts

3rd movie passes

4th for my Q and C meal vouchers.

I have used my credit card each time.

No problems that I know about.

no problems yet with me either...also, some have linked hotwire and connections, like they are the same company but I could find nothing that says they are..only thing I could find this linked tois the hotwire site with the hotels and airfare... I know other places sell the vouchers and they don't mention connections either (on the vouchers)

I've ordered a couple of times but used a virtual account number. My citibank card has this option and I know a few other cards offer the option. It is a one time use number so they can't double bill even if they try

I joined in September and have ordered twice with no billing troubles. I used a credit card.

TIP: If you call and ask to cancel they will offer you $60 worth of utility bill refunds. The way it works is, they send you 12 coupons and each month you send one in with a copy of any utility bill. They credit your account $5 for the next billing cycle. That way it works out to $2.95 per month.

does anyone know what the rate is after the first year? it's worded a little oddly on the site and I wonder if it sky rockets or if it is just clumsy wording. I would keep it for 2.95 ( I f they gave me the vouchers ) but normally would barely break even at 7.95

I joined Sept 3rd and ordered 20 Q and C vouchers and about $400 in gift cards. Everything came quickly and my rebate was credited at to my card at the end of September.

Late Sept, I ordered 4 more gift cards-- had to have them sent to another address, as I was on vacation. This too went off without a hitch (although they were supposed to just change my "Ship To" address, but instead changed my memebership address-- but no problems when I called to get it changed back). I have not yet been credited back for these purchases. I was told to expect the credit at the end of October.

Early Oct, I got an e-mail reminding me that they'd be billing me my first month's membership fee-- giving me enough time to cancel if necessary.

So, I would say, so far so good...

What was the price of the breakfast vouchers and the quick and casuals? Are the gift cards available in any dollar amount? That might be a nice way to start Christmas shopping. Do I understand correctly that if I join and then order over a certain amount that I get a credit on the bill? That sounds like it would make up for the monthly fee, right? I am having such a hard time decideing about these clubs and vouchers!

Breakfast Feature: $17.75
Limit 40 of each per year

Gift cards for restaurants are in $10 denominations and for each you buy you get $2 credited back at the end of the month. Gift cards for stores are in $25 denominations and for each that you buy you get $5 credited back at the end of the month.
Limit 15 of each per year.

There are also 15% discounts on theme park admissions and movie passes to many big chain for $4.50 each (limit 100 per year).

There is neither tax nor shipping on any of the items.

Not a problem per sé, but not a good first impression.

I saw another post which said you can take a trial membership to Hotwire, during which you can buy park tickets at a discount, and if you decide not to continue your memebership, you dont have to pay back the saving on your tickets.

I Emailed Hotwire to ask if non-US residents can join, 10 days ago - Still waiting to here back from them...

If they can't answer a simple Email, what's the odds of them getting my tickets to me in time ?

I have talked to customer service two times in the last week.once to find out the date I joined and to ask about the cash back rebate, once because my daughter joined and wanted her stuff sent to an address not on her cc ( they called her as a precautionary measure before they would mail the stuff out and charge it) they have been more than accomedating, the one girl looking up a number of things for me, the other one connecting me to someone else in the same dept since the guy who called was in a meeting when I called and I could only get his voice mail. so we have talked to 4 people in all, all very helpful. my orders have all come within aweek of being placed.

So far since I joined this Oct 4, I have ordered 3 times, Q&C vouchers, gift certificates, and Sea World passes.
Great service every time. I had to return the SeaWorld passes, and they were promptly credited back to my charge card within the week ( I checked my cc account online).

I joined Sunday Oct. 26, ordered some Q&C and AKL vouchers and had them in my hand on Wed. via Fedex. No problems here.
