Or is it really early?? I am hoping for a 40% pin to book BC for Sept 24-28 (Ive already booked CSR for 2nd half of trip Sept 28-Oct 3 FD). Want the room discount for BC though!

On October 4th many of us [me included] received a Peter Pan PIN for autumn of 2011. Some people got 25% off, some got free dining, others got 40% off, some had resorts blacked out. I was shocked to say the least that it appeared so early!
You might want to order the free disney DVD, it could generate interest in the system.

perhaps Disney has realized the truth "the recession is NOT over" and is looking toward filling rooms for next year. I haven't received a pin..prolly won't...but we're still going. ALtho....if we didn't already have APs we prolly wouldn't.

Free Dining is out there now for the general public as long as you arrive by 9/29 you will get free dining for your length of stay, but you must book it by 12/20/10. You will need to buy 2 day base tickets to get the FD but you can also upgrade the plan if you so wish to

As for room discounts, if you get lucky and recieve a pin # last year they went out in Dec 09 and Jan 10. The general public room only discounts come out much later in the year.

Look at the "Special Offers" section on the WDW website, then check the Free Dining dates - it shows:

2011: Jan 1 - 5 • Jan 9 - 13 • Jan 21 - Feb 3 • Feb 11 - 17 • Feb 25 - Mar 3 • May 27 - Jun 2 • Aug 19 - Sept 29

I'm hoping for a room-only offer for arrival the last few days of August. I assume that would be a "fall" offer as the Disney "summer" period usually usually ends mid-August. I'm guessing there wouldn't be a GP room-only offer until late spring or early summer. I'm still deciding if I want to book now with FD or not.

Count us in for waiting. In Dec. of 09 we got a bounceback for Oct. of 2010. Which we gladly booked. But when we went in Oct. the only BB was for earlier in 2011 and we can't use that. This is the first time in a long time that I don't have any kind of trip planned. I guess I will have to look into AAA after the holidays for next year.

Not sure where you are getting your information from but if you look at the Disney site it clearly states book by December 20,2010

Other people say you only receive free dining credits for the days that are listed in the date range of the promotion. I called Disney and asked and they said it's the latter. It's only for the dates you're there during the FD period.

I booked Free Dining a couple of weeks ago. The only stipulation for us was that we check-in by September 29th. We got Free Dining from September 29th-October 9th. The Disney site had stated that the promo ends on September 29th. Now exactly what that means is up for interpretation I guess. Hope this helps!
