I was thinking of seeing Cirque de Soleil during my trip the beginning of December. My plans are not quite set but I do not want to commit that much money right now. Has anyone just gone, say in the afternoon and bought a ticket for that evening? Or, do the tickets sell out way in advance?

Yes, I was able to walk up and buy tickets in the afternoon for the late (9:00 p.m. I think) show. We had great seats and loved it (again - since we'd seen it once before). This was in the middle of July last year. I would think in early December you wouldn't have trouble getting tickets at the last minute.

Keep in mind that the artists have their winter vacation December 5-December 13 so there is usually a higher demand for tickets the week before and the first few days after their break, since they have not been performing for a period of time. So if you are planning to see it one day December 1-4 and wait until the day of the show for tickets, you may end up with split seats or nothing at all. Just FYI...
