Has Anyone Ever Seen A Celebrity In Wdw

Does she still have a house here on Long Island? I know she grew up in Sayville but I thought she moved to CA. Maybe she was visiting family. When I was little Patrick Dempsey tried to get in my families Limo at the airport by mistake. It was around 1989 so he was a nobody then but I recognized him for something.

I believe she does have a house in Sayville... Not 100%.

It wasn't at Disney, but at IOA. Earlier in the year, my friends and I saw Chris Daughtry and his band there. We were there for the Mardi Gras concert series and he was performing that night. Anyway, my friends decide to ride Dr. Doom, which is one ride I refuse to do. They get off, and my friend says "Call me crazy, but I think Chris Daughtry from American Idol was right behind me in line!" Sure enough, a moment later, he and his entire band walk out of the exit, escorted by an employee. It was pretty cool! I'm really surprised they didn't offer him front of the line access, or maybe they did, and he refused it.

We never saw his concert either -crowds starting lining up for it over 2 hours ahead of time, and my friend's gf was tired and didn't want to hang around.

Those CM's in plaid vest are also Tour Guides anyone can hire, so sometimes they are leading VIP's/Celebs and sometimes they are leading day guests who choose to hire the service.

Can anyone please tell me about these guides? I have seen them with families on our last two trips. Not with famous families or anything, but I want to know what is the advantage of doing this? I can understand with celebrities or even when parks are packed, but this was the last week of October and there were very light crowds. The guide was even pushing the stroller with the parents walking next to it. Are these really wealthy people who just don't want to wait in any lines (I am assuming this is an advantage)? I have always been so curious! What is the cost to do this?

Sig Hansen from the Discovery Channel show Dealiest Catch was signing autographs in the Norway pavillion this weekend. Got a couple pictures with him, as for some reason my fiance has a crush on him.....:confused3

I saw Jamie Lee Curtis and her entourage at, of all places, All Star Sports. :confused3 Never could figure that one out. :confused3

I worked in Television for so many years and met quite a few people I think I'm immune to the celeb thing. I suppose meeting Tony Bennett was the highlight of it all. Anyways I consider myself a people watcher normally, but when I'm at Disney I'm totally absorbed in the experience. It was actually my SIL that pointed out the person being escorted by their VIP guide in Dinoland AK.

We both recognized him from somewhere but couldn't figure out where. Finally it hit me...it was a guy from a soap I used to watch for about 2 years...All My Children. I couldn't have told you the guys name at the time...actually I had to search it up with my limited knowledge on that Soap. lol His name is Vincent Irizarry and he played Dr. David Hayward, and apparently now plays David Chow on Y&R. I like how creative Soaps are with changing character names. *snerks* Apparently it had been that Soap day several days previous and I suppose he stuck around to have fun with his family.

Oh man how did we miss that Captain Sig was going to be at EPCOT, we love that show, he's too cool. =o(

my friend saw the Clan from John and Kate + 8 a few months ago

Chuck Nice from VH1's Best Week Ever was sitting in the row behind us on the tram from AK to the parking lot today.

According to our Keys to the Kingdom tour guide who does many of the celebrity tours, only the very high profile celebrities get to enter the rides from a back door. Cher and Mariah Carey came to his mind. Other than that, it's just wealthy families that don't want to have to think about what to do next. Tour guides handle getting fastpasses, they get tables for them at meals, they guide them through the parks according to what rides will be least crowded, etc. I think he said the guides run about $150 an hour.

The only celebrity I've spotted at WDW was Lou Diamond Phillips. Had his wife and kids with him on Rock n Roller Coaster. He was in line just like the rest of us, however his bodyguard was holding one of his daughters.

We were down in December and saw Joey Fatone in the Magic Kingdom walking in then out of Haunted Mansion.

We saw Britney Spears performing her hit song "Hit Me Baby, One More Time" for a Easter parade back in 1999. This was back when she was young, fresh-faced, and squeaky clean - coming off her time on the MMC. :)

And in 2002 my friends and I ate at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant at DTD. All of the chefs were coming around and asking how our food was. It was pizza, nothing special but we liked it and said so. A bit later on, we were in a store and my friend picked up a book only to realize that one of those chefs WAS Wolfgang Puck. Whoops.

We saw Sig last year as we were leaving MK one night!

Regis and Kelly, taping the Christmas parade on Main St.;Bruce Jenner sat behind us at Fantasmic(the lady next to me had seen Ann-Margaret going in the night before); John Travolta in the first car of our monorail-I think he may have been doing a wish-trip because he was pushing a little boy in a wheelchair and the mother and other bro. were behind him. He was very sweet-totally focused on the kid he was with. My dh was in the elevator at the Contemporary a few years back when they had the DEM. convention with John Edwards.

We saw Marilyn Manson(w/o makeup) with his new girlfriend being escorted by 3 VIP CM yesterday. They were heading to ride BTMRR. What caught my attention was the hot pink devil ears the girlfriend was wearing. I didn't get any pictures.

:scared: now my BF would have been stalking him. he is a fan:scared:

I met author/humorist Dave Barry at the Contemporary when he was doing a book signing last year. It's actually the second time I met him, as he spoke at my university in college years ago. He even remembered the occasion and some of the jokes he made (and this is going back like 10 years)! He's really a nice, funny guy, and I love his sense of humor.

We saw Micheal Jackson on the Splash:confused3 Mountain, they made sure several cars ahead and behind him were empty. We saw Hulk Hogan at the Swan Hotel coming out of the lounge and we saw Armand Asanti with his kids by the Dumbo ride. We went up and asked if he was someone we should know and he said yes.:confused3
