Has Anyone Ever Seen A Celebrity In Wdw

Just got back on December 2nd from a wonderful trip to the WORLD and we saw so many celebrities. I'm sure it was because they were filming the Holiday Parade that weekend, but we saw Kelly Ripa at the California Grill, Regis Philbin at Beaches N' Cream, KYLE XY at The Beach Club Pool,
Sabrina and Mark and Joey and Kim from Dancing with the Stars at the Magic Kingdom.
It was so fun to see them!!!
Looking forward to our return trip in March! YIPPPEEEEE --

Do they take the monorail back to the Polynesian if they are staying there or do the get their own 'Special' bus?

I asked a CM at The Hall of Presidents a ton of questions about celebrities too. The CM kept coming out by me and my dh. We were waiting for Spectro to start. The CM told me a lot of celebrities use different doorways to get into rides. He said many stay at the Floridian or the Poly since they have use of the mono-rail. When they visit other parks he said, they have a special driver like a cab service take them.

I'm 99.9% sure we saw the lead singer of of The All American Rejects Tyson Ritter and Chris Gaylor with a female who I believe is Tyson's girlfriend last night. We were exiting the tran in Frontier Land when we noticed them because the girl was dressed like Minnie Mouse. I thought "wow" that guy looks like the guy from AAR and then I saw the VIP guide. Hum. Of course the camera was in the car.

I haven't seen any celebrities in disney except for samantha brown from the travel channel. But i did spend a week with mike Eisner's son about 10 years ago. My then boyfriend now husband played hockey for a junior league and his roommate was Micheal Eisners son for tryouts. I stayed with him that week because I had to drive him to tryouts in another state because he couldn't drive.

Anyways....his tutors were there with him, his butler would call many times a day, he had an assistant, chef etc. He couldn't beleive how we lived our lives after talking with us. He at the time was living in Hollywood so we was telling us about his life and how he had a montly hUGE allowance. He was telling us about his cars, his celebrity friends and his exciting life. He didn't have much interest in disneyworld itself but said he had been about 40 times. He didn't make the team and the players thought the coach was nuts!! Think of the great uniforms and perks the team would have had if he made it!! The host family to have him would be one lucky family.

My DBF was in the World the week after Thanksgiving and saw Dave Matthews walking around The Land-unnoticed- with his daughter riding on his shoulders! He wasn't sure it was him at first, but so h and his buddy went back to double check and sure enough it was!!! He said he would never have known it was him if his friend hadnt seen him.

He also saw Cat Cora from the Food Network filimg her new show at JIKO!!

I didn't see any famous people on my lates trip though :headache:

I didn't see her in Disney but I did see Melissa Joan Heart the other day walking around a small village near my home. It is called Sayville Village in NY (Long Island). She was walking with her husband and young son. She had no make-up on and some comfortable clothing. She looked like any other mom. It was so exciting to see her five minutes from my house. We left her and her family alone. She clearly wanted it that way. So I know it wasn't a WDW siting but it was exciting none the less. Thought I would share the experience.;)

In 2002 so before Pirates came out I was at Disneyland in California and almost flattened Johnny Depp as I came off Space Mountain. Surprisingly he wasn't accompanied by bodyguards, though he wasn't as big back then, and was just blending in very well with the crowd. I hadn't even realized who it was until half way through my "I'm sorry" and so I added "Mr. Depp" when I did realize. He smiled, told me it was "quite alright" (I'll always remember the wording) and that he hadn't been paying attention either as he was excited to get on the way to his next ride. I didn't have my camera with me, which my wife still torments me about, but it was a once in a lifetime experience I will always treasure. With the success of Pirates I doubt he'll ever be unaccompanied at any Disney park again.

When I was at MK in March I saw a lady with two kids (Now I don't know if they were boys or girls) walking around with two people in plaid vests, it never occured to me that she could be someone famous, even though I saw her. My son asked about them and I said the kids may be someone from Make a Wish foundation and this was their wish.
Now I'm thinking I wonder if she was someone famous.
Guess like a few other posters I was to busy enjoying myself to even think about being close to someone famous.

side note: it couldn't have been someone famous because make-a-wish officially doesn't go through disney...they stay at ...I can't remember the name but it's a plmace off property and they don't have special cast treatment so they wouldn't have a cast member lead them around...(disability enterance to rides is probaby extreamly common though)

that means that you def. saw a celeb. though!!!:cool1:

Those CM's in plaid vest are also Tour Guides anyone can hire, so sometimes they are leading VIP's/Celebs and sometimes they are leading day guests who choose to hire the service.

I had to have been about 8 years old at the time (I am now almost 26), but I had a preteen encounter with Joey Mcyntire of New Kids on the Block at MGM Studios in 1990. He was looking at hats outside of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular when my family and I spotted him. I was in LOVE with him and his "group" at them time and my dad approached him asking for an autograph for me. Joey didn't respond but his bodyguard said that Joey wouldn't be signing any autographs. My dad said that he wanted to hear Joey say that, and he would up going back and forth with his bodyguard for a few minutes, in eachothers faces and such. Needless to say, I didn't get the autograph but we have always loved telling the story of how my dad almost got into a fight with Joey Mcyntire's bodyguard in WDW.

I finally had my first celebrity encounter on my most recent trip (that's after about 25 "celebrity-less" trips) when I encountered Neal Patrick Harris. It was after the last CP of the night on 11/30. We were both in the German pavillion-I was getting CS, he was looking for a brew. After looking around, he consulted with his plaid guide and they went inside Biergarten. I wanted to go up to him and say "You've just recited the Christmas Story at WDW 3 times, what are you going to do now?" "I'm going to have a cold beer.":thumbsup2

Just this past Friday, we saw Andie MacDowell and her 3 girls at Animal Kingdom going through the back entrance for the Kilmanjaro Safari ride.

She's pregnant right now with her second child. I've seen pics where it's pretty obvious. How'd she look?

I think Andie MacDowell has a son and two daughters.....her son is a bit older though......maybe 21 or so?? The girls are maybe 18 and 12.......

I ran into Britney Spears a long time ago at Disney Quest. And when I say "ran into" I mean literally, as I was running full speed. haha

It was before "Hit Me Baby One More Time" became big and she was signing autographs. I didn't even realize it was her till my mom told me as we were pulling out of the parking lot. It was only then I remembered seeing her on the Disney Channel. haha I must have been about 8 or 9 years old.

Way too funny now that I look back on it! :lmao:

Although he was a scheduled guest, we met Chef Robert Irvine of Food Network's Dinner Impossible last month at Food and Wine and even got to speak with him for a minute and then found out he lives about 45 minutes from us and had just eaten dinner at Paula Deen's house the night before. (we're from Savannah)

We saw Kirk Cameron yesterday at AK walking through Africa with his family. I didn't even recognize him until my DH pointed him out.

The year before last, my wife and I were having lunch at the Crystal Palace when I spotted Dwayne Johnson and his family. I pointed him out to my wife. She swooned and took the wives at the tables surrounding us with her.

Does she still have a house here on Long Island? I know she grew up in Sayville but I thought she moved to CA. Maybe she was visiting family. When I was little Patrick Dempsey tried to get in my families Limo at the airport by mistake. It was around 1989 so he was a nobody then but I recognized him for something.
