Has anyone done the math on the payout rates?

I will do this if no one already has, but am not really a math whiz so thought I would ask if anyone had already calculated this. I am looking to see how many days it takes without buying anything to get a $10 gift certificate or Webbie at each of the sites to see which are the most worth my time... Anyone done this?

TIA:D

Good question. Some of the rewards programs seem to be worth the effort and others seem to take forever and I wonder if I am missing something?? I know there is a thread on how to do programs- would it be possible to do some threads on opinions of programs? Maybe post a program and responses could be positive or negative as to time spent, points rewarded, ease of redemption. Don't want to go against the forum rules so I am just checking...Anyone know if we could start threads like this? Would you post to them if we did?

SnowBrite-It seems to me that a long time ago, someone (with much better Math skills than me) took the time to figure out which programs paid the best. I think it must have been on the old board and the post was lost when we moved over to this one. If you're willing to take on the project, I'm sure that we'd all appreciate the information.

mom42860-As far as I know, a thread to ask for opinions about individual programs is not against any forum rules. We're a pretty vocal group as far as expressing our likes and dislikes about programs. Just because we all are involved with rewards programs, doesn't mean we don't find them a pain in the butt from time to time. Then again there are the days when you go to the mailbox and you get a GC or a check!

I'm sure if you want to post a thread about each of the programs to ask board members of their experiences with the programs you'd get a lot of responses. Why not give it a try?

If I did the math, I'd probably never do rewards again!!!:)

First of all, I rarely order anything. I do Funny Money and receive a $10 GC in approximately 35-40 days. This site has been slow lately about sending out GCs and does not respond to E-mail.

I also do Mile Source. Their pay-out is a $25 GC approximately every four months. In addition, I do Memolink and My Points, which are extremely slow to build up points, but easy programs to do.

Alrighty then, I will crack out my calculator and see where it gets me! Just not tomorrow as I have some SHOPPING to do!
:D

This is how it works out for me:

Blink - average of 1500 points per day; a $10 webcertificate is 96000 points = 64 days

Milesource - average 24 points per day; a $25 supercertificate is 3500 points = 146 days

Memolink - average 15 points per day; $10 gift certificate is 1800 points = 120 days

MyPoints - average 15 points per day; $10 webcertificate is 1350 points = 90 days

SearchCactus - 25 cents per day; $20 check = 80 days

FunnyMoney - average 200 points per day; $10 webcertificate is 10,000 points = 50 days
BUT I have serious doubts about this program. I have not gotten my certificate after 3 months and NO response to emails. I no longer do this program.

This was EXACTLY what I was looking for! :D Yeah!

Jennifer

PS Do you really get that many points from My Points? I feel lucky to get 15 a week from them. Maybe the longer you do it the more you get?

The 15 points a day from MyPoints is a historical average over the past year. The points have slowed considerably since mid-summer. If I average only the past 3 months, then I am only averaging 10 a day and it will take 135 days to obtain a $10 webcertificate.

BUt I do seem to get more email point opportunities than other people. My Dad and my sister-in-law both do MyPoints and I get lots more BonusMail than either of them. I guess I represent a good demigraphic. Also what little on-line shopping I do, I try to use MyPoints. I did not use my shopping points in calculating the daily rate.

If you are "serious" about clicking for money and have the time you could also do NetFlip and Suzykats.

Your not gonna believe this one.....

For site visits only 41 points per month. 1050 points for $10 disney dollar. It will take 25.6 months to earn.

Suzy went from being one of the best to the worse program. Well I guess it was good while it lasted.:D
