Getting your hair done at the barbor shop sounds cool. How much is it for just a style?

It was $12 to get my nephew's haircut and styled with pixiedust. You can not make reservations and there is only 1 chair so...I would go first thing in the morning if you can.

I was looking at the pics from there... do they give out the ears that say first haircut when you get a cut there?

I was very sad to read that the main street barber shop is no longer doing a style only. I don't know if it is right, but that is what I read.

My daughter will be almost 4 when we go to Disney in December, and I was thinking of getting her first cut at the barber shop... I'm almost crying just thinking about it!!!

my brother might be getting his first haircut there. I hear that if its your first hair cut you get a certificate and a pair of mickey ears that say "first haircut"

Yeah, they do that - and give you the clippings mixed with pixie dust. And they are fantastic with the little ones. It's probably the best deal in the park, price-wise. But get there early or be prepared to wait, they usually have only two people cutting hair (it's a small shop) and no reservations.

My son had his hair cut there last trip and I was not impressed. There was always a significant wait when we checked. There were 2 ladies and they really were not all that friendly. I think it was the most unmagical part of our trip. She did give him a Mickey toy to play with, but that was about it. Just wanted to share that maybe it depends who is there if it is a special experience and worth the wait.

This will be a tradition of ours for every visit. We get there 10 min before opening (open from 9-5) to avoid the lines. It cost us $14.00 per cut. The cut was also as good as we get at home...except there is no pixie dust.

In Oct my DS got his hair cut and my DD and I were talked into getting our hair styled! I think it was all about $5 for each of us. They have 2 chairs in there and while I am sorry I don't remember the CM's name that cut my DS hair and styled mine...but I do know she is PIXIE DUST HAPPY. I had it ALLLLLLLL over me.

our vacation will be my family of 5 and a friends family of 4 (2 boys) i have triplets (2 boys 1 girl). So the boys will be doing the pirates league with our husbands. i know the pirates have the whole girl thing. we did that in sept. LOVED IT!!!
BUT i want to do something more girlie for my daughter since she will be the only female child. so my girlfriend mentioned the barber shop for color and a dusting! not really into the bibbity Price range this time around
How are they with 2 adult kids and a 7 year old child? So we can have some GIRL TIME?? pixiedust:pony tails, color, and pixi dust?!?! recommend?

We did Harmony in Aug, I had concierge schedule 2 appointments for us a day ahead of our planned visit, they secured us both at 11:00 AM (had to pay a deposit). When we arrived the line was probably 10-12 people long, people were lined up outside waiting as its really small inside. There are 3 chairs, and on our day 3 stylists were working. When one became available we let them know we had appointments and were immediately taken (felt bad for those waiting, so if you can schedule one do it!!). My oldest DS just got a cut & gel, my middle guy got a cut from Michael :lovestruc and gel/pixie dust, with tip we spent $45.

A tip for those who do the gel - it takes forever to dry! Bring along extra hand wipes because you'll be wiping it off things ALL day.

Love, love, love the place. DD gets her haircut every time we go. Make an apt- the wait can be terrible. Penny usually cuts her hair, I don't know if you can request, but when there we wait for her. She gets the pixie dust sprinkled when her cut is finished and it is $14 (I think) and I give $20 because they are always great with her.

We have been twice and the same thing. The first time I thought it was becasue we were on of the last haircuts of the day but the second time none either. I was a tad bit disapoionted since this is why I waited to do it AT disney.

Thank you everyone! i will absolutely be making an appointment for all of us when we go!!! thanks for the tips too! will Def bring wipes!!!
