I had reservations for a deluxe room at HRH in November. It was a loews upgrade. I am platinum, but they didn't have any suites available. So I took the deluxe and they told me to keep calling for a suite to open up.
I called today and they told me that the upgrade would be a king which they did have available, but since we had 2 adults and 2 children they couldn't book it for me. I said that I didn't think that was true since I heard people here on the boards say they had 4 in a king suite. She said she couldn't book it no matter what and suggested I call the HRH front desk.
I called the front desk and at first she said they were not any available, but even if there were it would be a $35 dollar upgrade. I told her that was not true, that upgrades were free for platinum members. She went off the line for a bit and came back to say, yes that was true, but they still did not have any available. I chatted with her a bit and told her what the other woman said about occupancy, and she said that she could book it with four people, and that the other woman must have been mistaken. Then she checked the computer one more time and low and behold came up with a king smoking suite. I booked it immedietely.
Why is there such confusion about the occupancy in a king suite at the HRH? It seems wrong that I would get 2 totally different answers in five minutes!
Also does anyone have any photos of the king suite. We have stayed in a king suite at RPR, is it the same layout? Also, we are not smokers, how bad will a smoking room be? She said when we checked in would could ask for a non smoking, but I want to prepare myself for a smoking room. Thanks!!
