Which ones have you been to? Does anyone know which ones have the most paraphernalia from the band The Who?

I love themed restaurants and the Hard Rock Cafe is one of my favorites. When we go on vacation, we usually try to eat at one at least once. We've dragged our kids to many of them over the years, whether they wanted to or not.:rotfl: I can remember eating at the Hard Rock Cafe in Washington DC, many years ago when our kids were 1,7,and 10. They didn't like anything on the menu, and right after we ate, we ended up taking them to a hot dog stand around the corner from the restaurant.:rotfl:

The kids didn't always appreciate all the fabulous music memorabilia, but now that our youngest daughter, 16, is a huge fan of The Who, she would love to see anything on display from the band or individual band members.

Next week we'll be vacationing in four cities with Hard Rock Cafes- San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Phoenix. Anyone eat at any of these locations? Do you recommend one over another? Any have a lot of memorabilia from The Who?

Back to the original question, these are the Hard Rock Cafes we've eaten at:

Boston
Foxwoods
New York City
Philadelphia
Atlantic City
Washington DC
Orlando
Key West
Cleveland
Memphis
Honolulu

I loved the Hard Rock Cafes in Key West and Honolulu because they had outdoor dining, which makes me very happy.:cool1:

We've only been to the one in Universal Orlando. We haven't beeen to the one here in Washington, D.C. It looks boring compared to the awesome one in Orlando. The one in D.C. just looks too dull. Its been "Washington'd".

We've been to the Hard Rock Cafes in Dallas, Houston, Chicago, and Niagara Falls.

Love All, Serve All. :)

I've been to the ones in NYC, Dallas, Boston, Orlando, Cleveland, Atlantic City, Hollywood, Denver, Toronto, and Chicago. And a couple others I think...

Orlando and Atlantic City have the best food. Boston has the best flying milkshakes. (Long story involving a friend who used to work there... :rotfl: )

Boston has a great Aerosmith collection. :thumbsup2

The non-public collections in Orlando, Boston, Hollywood, and Dallas are amazing. (Those are the only ones that I've been "behind the scenes" at.)

At one point there was WHO memorabilia at Hard Rock Live in Orlando, right insude the front doors, but it's been replaced by 3 Doors Down stuff--maybe six months ago?

I have been to the Hard Rock Cafes in Cleveland, Toronto and Madrid.

I've been to the Hard Rock in Orlando and in St. Louis. The one in St Louis was a lot more fun; it's much smaller and everyone on staff really gets into some of the songs.

Cleveland
Chicago
Niagara Falls
Honolulu
Guangzhou
Hong Kong

I know I've been to others, especially in countries with questionable food. I just don't know where exactly. Don't really like the place much, but I trust them to serve me food that won't make me sick. :)

I've been to the one in Los Angeles. Lots of really cool stuff, and a fun atmosphere! I don't know about The Who stuff though. I think they rotate their collections, so I'm not sure what they have on display.

London, when it was the only one and not part of a chain, Orlando, Los Angeles.

I've only been to the one in Orlando and the one in New York City.

Funny, they just closed the Hard Rock here in Dallas and I never ever went there and I live here. :rotfl:

If you're a fan of The Who specifically, you might want to check out Wolfgang's Vault (www.wolfgangsvault.com). This site has tons of memorabilia for sale, and The Who is one of their featured bands. You can buy old concert T-shirts, tickets and posters, among other things.

Plus the concert section of the site has a couple of their Fillmore East shows from 1968 and 1969. The '68 concert is a bunch of familiar singles while the '69 concert it looks like they perform Tommy (the whole thing). These are audio only, but it's still pretty cool to listen to a concert from almost 40 years ago. The sound's usually pretty good too.

The food was terrible there, just inedible. (NYC food is terrible too!)

You're not missing anything by having never eaten there.

Thanks, that's good to know that I didn't miss anything.

ETA: maybe that's why it closed down

Have been to several in the USA. Also been to the one in Rome. It's the closest thing to a good American style hamburger we can get. Hubby has been to several others around the world. My son has quite a collection of pins from those locations. Hoping to hit one in Germany this year.
