Harbor Express Quincy to Logan?

Anyone here use Harbor Express from Quincy to Logan? I have a flight next Saturday out of Logan (not to Disney ) and I'm debating taking Logan Express bus from Braintree or Harbor Express from Quincy (same price,but the Harbor Express boat terminal is closer). How long do you typically have to wait for the terminal shuttle once you get off the boat at Logan? Does it run fairly regularly? Or maybe I'm better off taking Logan Express bus and it will drop us right off at the terminal? Any suggestions? We usually fly out of PVD and I haven't had to fly out of Logan for a long time. I LOVE the Harbor Express!!!

It's such a nice way to get to the airport, and I grew up sailing, so I really especially like it. I would pad some extra time to allow to get from the dock to your terminal, I think the busses run about every 15-20 minutes or so. We'll often do Harbor Express going TO Logan, and the either Logan Express or a car service coming home, to cut down on the waiting and hassle.

thanks! I think my mom prefers the boat also. THere is a 2:00 boat that says it arrives at Logan at 2:30, then we should hopefully be to the terminal by 3:00 depending on the shuttle. Our flight isn't until 5:00 so I think we should be fine timewise.

I've actually taken both in the past two weeks. The kids and I took the boat to Logan for a flight to Fort Myers (on 4/14) and then on 4/22 I took the bus back after I returned a rental car. (We drove home.)

Anyway, if the boat time works out, we like to take it because we just find it to be a more pleasant ride. (It's also closer to our house.) Nice views, etc.... The buses run more frequently, so our plan was to take the boat but if our flight time changed or the weather was lousy then we would switch to the bus. We do tend to take the bus on the way back because then we don't have to worry so much about times.

Whenever I've taken the boat, the shuttle was there waiting. I don't know if that means they time it out or if I've just gotten lucky. We took the 3:30 boat on Saturday for a 5:45 flight and we were fine. We were flying Jet Blue, so we were the 3rd terminal (C).

One downside of the boat is that you do have to bring your luggage from the boat dock, up the ramp to the shuttle by yourself. If you have a lot of luggage or someone in your group can't manage their own luggage, it may be better to take the bus.

In either case, they are both run very efficiently and always seem to leave on time.

thanks smallworld71! We must be neighbors, because the boat terminal is very close by.
I'm hoping they time the shuttle to the boat's arrival and we won't have to wait long for it. We will be going to terminal B, and also we are only doing carry ons, so thankfully we won't have a lot of bags to schlep! I feel like we could be okay with the 3:30 boat for our 5:00 flight but I hate to take the chance that we could run into problems, so just to be safe we'll take the 2:00 boat. I haven't flown out of Logan in years and I'm not sure how security will be etc. Better early than late!

I wouldn't even consider that 3:30 boat for a 5pm flight. That's only leaving 90 minutes for all the transit, including the shuttle connection, getting to the correct terminal and through security. I'm having heart palpitations just thinking about it! Definitely go for the earlier one.

I fly through Logan several times a year. I plan to be at the airport no less than 90 minutes before flight time (and shoot for 2 hrs, but you know how traffic can be). Security is hit or miss. Even when the lines are short, it can take time.
