Happy Thanksgiving 2012 and Participate in a Poll

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow and a nice long rest filled weekend. I'm thankful for all of you that help everyone on this board. Those of you at the Fort this weekend look like you'll be getting some fabulous weather.

I want to know what kind of folks we have here so I am posting a poll about Thanksgiving food, specifically, pies.

Oh, I know we love our pies but after the turkey and stuffing, what type of pie do you go for first? I'll eat some pumpkin AND pecan myself, but the first bite is the pumpkin. So let's hear from ya'll. Please vote in the poll at the top of this thread

I like so many different kinds of pies that it almost doesn't matter which kind is being served
but if I had to pick I'd go with apple.

Pumpkin for me! I was raised by a single Father and we had pumpkin pie every Thanksgiving. He passed away almost 18 years ago. When I married my husband 22 years ago, I began the tradition of bringing the pumpkin pie to their celebration. However, I am usually the only one who eats it! But that's fine with me because I bring home the leftovers! Hope you have had a wonderful day!

I always get some sort of berry pie. A local grocery makes one with a mix of cherries, blackberries and blueberries so when I can get one of those I do. This year we went out for dinner but I had already bought my berry pie so I had that when I got home but pecan pie and banana puddin' at the restaurant.

Thanksgiving is all about pumpkin. There is always room for a second piece.

Chocolate pie, but if you allow it my grandmother makes a blueberry cobbler that makes you skip the turkey and dressing.
