To all the DISraelites ceebrating, have a wonderful Purim.

Any cool Disney costumes? My synagogue was overrun by the annual parade of Princesses. Ariel seemed to be the most popular this year.

Not really Disney, but my little one is Indiana Jones this year. He's excited because both boys have the same costume and when they wear them at the same time (think: Halloween) he has to be Mutt cuz the big one is Indy.
Big one is a cowboy/Woody knock off from the dollar store today. (previously owned plaid shirt, tan vest, jeans, borrowed a sherriff star from neighbors, Indy's brown hat looks ok with this getup).

PTA carnival is at 4:00 today. School celebration postponed until tomorrow due to snow day on Friday. Still have a trunk full of Mishloach Manot that needs delivered! No rest for the Mommy! (especially since I'm also on the PTA board!)

Hamantachen for all!

happy purim!!

the adloyada was postponed this year - massive rainstorms....and i do mean massive..
city made a very good decision to postpone it (they decided a week in advance - clever fellows)....

so instead it will be this coming friday....so yet another chance to dress up and look silly...

as for disney, chani's boyfriend wore really cute stitch ears chani bought in tokyo disney last year (they're mad for stitch in japan for some reason)...
and aaron wore a goofy hat with dred locks i bought at WDW a couple of years ago...

the hiloni high school kids go all out here (in raanana).....it's fun to see them....they all dress up for school (not on purim, but on the day of the school purim parties), then they all walk to ahuza, and walk up and down the street and hang out in the cafes....in all their wild costumes (a favorite of the boys - die their hair all sorts of outlandish colors, or shave their heads and paint what's left all sorts of outlandish colors)...

anyway...in raanana, all the city kids really really get into it....both dati and hiloni...lots of fun....

My mom made home made Hamantashen. Poppy, prune and peach/apricot. Yumm.

So, my kids got dressed up last night (daughter was Princess Leia, son was Darth Vader) and I started getting dressed - not dressed up. My daughter looks me up and down and leaves the room. She returns with my Mickey ears hat (from 1976 - up, still got it) and says, "That'll do." Fine.

I get to synagogue and everyone asks me if I'm dressed at a crazy Disney fan or a Disneyland tourist. What the heck - I dress this way normally! (I was wearing an Oswald shirt and the mickey ears.)

Wishing all the best. Now it's time to prepare for passover!

Nope. Unfortunately, no trip to the Red Sea (Yam Suf) for this pesach. Staying in NY. (Will be going to Israel in August instead.)

Good memory!

check out Chani's new myspace - looks a million times better than before:

it takes little bit of time to let the main picture load (on my computer anyway)..

she's going to be in raanana next week and again on yom haatzmaut (she was selected to perform in the amphitheater that night - really exciting for her)..
