Happy 21st Birthday! WDW, DCL and a Dis meet! *TR COMPLETE*

You took some stunning photos, I just love the one of the dusky orange rose, beautiful!

I really want to try that mac and cheese at Chefs de France someday after reading about it twice here. :goodvibes

Thanks Lessa! If you remember I just got this camera back in January and I'm very happy with it! The only thing is it takes crappy night shots. I think part of the problem is I don't have a tripod. I may end up investing in one of those mini ones.

Ohhh and you must try it someday! You wont be dissapointed!

Great pictures of world showcase. I felt like I was right there with you.

It's so much fun to read about all the different things to see and do so I can put them on my list for next time!

great update and pics.

nice of them to stop the cart for you. :rotfl2:

I am eating at Chefs de France next time, maybe I will get that.

Beautiful pictures of World Showcase. :thumbsup2 I did one of those Epcot passports once...it was fun!

The macaroni and cheese sounds good!

Lovely pictures of World Showcase! Thank you for sharing your trip around the world.
Love your pearl! I wear mine every day for a little bit of Epcot with me.

Great pictures! I really think I've missed out on so much Disney has to offer. I have so much on my list to see/do/take pictures of... I don't know if I'll be able to do half of it! ;) I'll just keep learning more from all of your TRs. Thank you!

Mac 'n Cheese!!! Oh yes...the best stuff ever!!! :yay:

You and your pearls! I love how they wrote 'Happy Birthday' on the little bag...so cute! :goodvibes

I need more!!! HAHA..great TR and I couldn't even walk away from my laptop to use the bathroom I was so into it.
Can't wait to read on---hopefully there are more updates before I leave (hint hint).
I have never seen the Koi pond in Japan and Japan is my favorite pavillion. I'll be on the lookout Monday ;0)

Thank you! I wear mine to just about everday. When someone asks me where I got it I always proudly say Japan in Epcot!

I love all the things Disney offers. Most of the time you just have to slow down and explore. It's always fun to find something new that the average park goer would over look and not apreciate.

Mac 'n Cheese!!! Oh yes...the best stuff ever!!! :yay:

You and your pearls! I love how they wrote 'Happy Birthday' on the little bag...so cute! :goodvibes

I knew you would be right with me on the Mac and Cheese!

Hahaha yup me and my pearls!!! Crazy I know! :rotfl:

:goodvibes Glad you liked it! Haha I often wonder if my TR makes sense or not because I write it and never re-read it. So I know there are so many spelling and grammer mistakes. Also I hope I don't write in circles. haha

I will have another update up sometime today so be on the look out!!! I will have to go check out your TR too!

Sorry for the delay. B and K are up visiting from FL and we made some last minute plans. So anyway with out any further waiting here is the next chapter!

Leaving Japan I made my way over to to America. I didn't spend too much time here. I'm just so suprised how plain this pavilion is. They could of done so much more with it.

Half way around the world.

Up next was Italy...

I spent quite some time browsing the shop since it had started to rain. The rain didn't last very long so I was on my way to Germany.

The Flower and garden festival display of Snow White...
ry%3D320

After hanging around Germany I made my way over to China. There were 2 CM's stainding at the door of the theater area ushering people in. I had no idea what was going on but I decided to check it out. It was actually really cool. It ended up being a group of girls performing different acts.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

After the show I watched the 360 film about China and made my way to the shop-of course. haha Like Japan I could spend all day in there. I love the Asian culture.

Up next was Mexico.

I rode the little boat ride. (for some reason I can't think of the name) and sat and relaxed for a while and people watched. A trip around the world is quite a long afternoon. haha.

Up next...back to future world and how I spent my night.

sounds like a nice trip around the world. love the pics.

Hi Cheryl!:wave2: I just found your report and read the whole thing! What a great report!!!! You seem like such a fun person, and would be a blast to travel with. When I saw that you did the cruise and WDW, I was SO jealous! I was sad to know that you didn't care for CBR that much. The DH and I stayed there last year and really loved it. It sounded like you had an awesome time on the cruise though!!!! Seeing all the pics of the Wonder really reminded me of how awesome DCL really is! And now reading about your WDW adventures are even better!!! I can't wait to read more. Thanks for taking the time to post, especially all the awesome pics! Keep up the awesome work!:thumbsup2

After my trip around the world I headed back to future world.
Here are some of the F&G festival displays at the entrance to the World Showcase.

It started to rain again so I quickly made my way to Spaceship Earth to ride again and to see if this time I had a future. There was no wait, total walk on!!! **Spoilers ahead if you haven't rode the ride**
The ride was the same as last time but on the decent I answered the questions on the screen and it actually started to calculate a future!
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

ry%3D320

It was so cute to see what the story/future was. After you see your future and get off the ride you are in the Seimens lab. There is a huge picture of the world and your face pops up on it (there are tons of faces) and after a few minutes you "fly" to your home state (since it asks where you are from when you get on the ride). It was really cool.

After exploring the lab for a bit I headed out to find that it was still raining. I started to make my way out of the park and to the bus station. I walked down to the Pop bus stop and there was a bus waiting. It was a short quiet ride back to Pop. When I got back I didn't even go to my room I hopped in line for the DTD bus and I didn't have to wait long before one showed up.

When I got to DTD the rain had stopped. It was getting late and I was getting hungry so I just had to get a sandwich from the Earl of Sandwich! Mmmm this place is so good and I think it's the best bang for your buck. In the way of WDW counter service locations. If you have never been there I totally sugest that you try it!

After dinner I just relaxed and enjoyed the atomsphere. I had no real plans for the night. I walked around and did a little shopping at the World of Disney. I have come to the realization that I need to go there at least twice because I usually always miss seeing stuff in there.

It was getting late and DTD was starting to get very busy. I guess with people coming from the parks. :confused3 I decided to start making my way out with a stop at the pin traders and of course Goofy's candy co! I can't leave DTD now without getting one of those marshmallow treats.
ry%3D320

It smells so good in that candy store!!!!

Once I got my marshmallow treat I went to the art store before heading out and this is another store I could spend hours in! Someday I hope that I can buy one of the paintings in that store.

I made my way back to Pop after the art store. I lounged by the pool for a bit and then went to bed gearing up for another day of Disney parks and meeting up with Megan at Epcot!

Up next...DHS or AK?!

sounds like a nice trip around the world. love the pics.

It was very nice. I always enjoy checking out the different countries.

Aww thanks for reading!!!

CBR was definatly nice but I think that I'm just so used to the Value resorts the layout of CBR was just totally different and threw me off. The beaches and atmosphere was so beautiful though!

DCL was amazing. More that I ever expected! I see that you are going on the Magic next year!!! LUCKY!!!

I'm glad you like reading about my adventures. I love writing about it because I can "relive" my trip through the TR. Again thanks for reading!

I love the pictures from Spaceship Earth...so cute! I love the upgrade to the ride and think it's a great addition. Becoming a fun little cartoon is a good thing! :goodvibes

great update and pics.

I have never been in the art store, I will have to check it out.

May 20:

That morning I woke up and it was gorgeous outside. The sun was out and there was no sign of rain. I was either going to DHS or AK. Well I made my way down to the busses and the first bus that came was the DHS so thats where I went. This was my first trip since the park was re-named. It will always be MGM to me so if I slip up and call it that don't mind me.

ry%3D320

Anway I made it for opening and I love the idea that "we" are all part of the movie as we walk down the main boulevard.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

I always get a picture of this guy. He is just so entertaining and funny to watch.
ry%3D320

My main goal for the morning was to try and get a sneak peak at Toy Story Mania. No such luck though. There were a bunch of CM's and movable walls blocking the enterance.
ry%3D320

Didn't look like I was going to have any luck. I decided to ride The great movie ride since no trip to MGM is complete without that.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

This was the first time I had been on this and we had a girl mobster. She just wasnt into the role. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but she just kind of mumbled her lines and that was it.

After riding TGMR I went to see if they had opened up Toy Story. Nope no luck.
Since I was solo I figured it was a perfect time to check out One Man's dream. I wouldn't have anyone rushing me.

Continued from last post...

If you ever have time make sure to check this out! It seriously makes you appreciate what Walt did so much more. He really was an inspiring man.
This was almost like a walk through yearbook for Mr. Disney. Lot's of pictures and stories.

ry%3D320

ry%3D320

There were also many concept models...
Castaway Cay. It was cool to see this after I had been there a few days before.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

ry%3D320

I was in there for close to an hour just looking at everything and reading all the stories. There was virtually no one in there the whole time. Some man brought his daughter in and then quickly left saying "oh honey this is isnt a ride...it's too boring". It was so sad to hear that. With out Walt Disney none of the parks would exist. I think seeing this makes you appreciate everything so much more.

At the end of the walk through there was the Walt Disney Theater.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

They showed a 20 minute move about Walt from the very begining of his life. Very interesting if you get to go see it.

After watching the movie I headed out of the theater and over to the animation presentation. This was really neat it was an actual Imagineer and he did this presentation with Mushu (from Mulan). As he was doing the presentation and telling us about animation he drew Mickey Mouse. It was cool to see how fast he could crank out a sketch of him.
After the presentation I went and explored the building. There were animators behind glass that you could watch. Also there was a place for you to get a picture with Mickey. Then I found the coolest thing.
ry%3D320

You could get a lesson from an actual animator on how to draw a character. It runs every 30 minutes and the lesson is about 20 minutes long. You can take your drawing home after and the best thing is it's FREE! Well I spent an hour and a half there and did it 3 times! haha
I only have pictures of 2 out of the 3 I did. Ok now don't laugh at them...
First we did Stitch.
ry%3D320

Then in the next group we did Donald...
ry%3D320

Then in the last group we did Minnie. I really thought this was the coolest thing and I will definatly be doing this again when I go back in November!

After learning how to draw some characters I headed back outside just in time for the High School musical show.

Up next...a very touching moment at the show!

I love the pictures from Spaceship Earth...so cute! I love the upgrade to the ride and think it's a great addition. Becoming a fun little cartoon is a good thing! :goodvibes

I liked the upgrade too! I kinda missed the lights as you decend down but the touch screen was a great idea!

great update and pics.

I have never been in the art store, I will have to check it out.

You will have to check it out! love all the paintings in there. I came sooo close to buying something!

great update and pics.

sorry but i saw the pic of Stitch and I was :rotfl2:

the Donald pic is really good.

that stinks about Toy Story.

I cannot do Great Movie Ride, I find it way too boring.
