Happy 21st Birthday! WDW, DCL and a Dis meet! *TR COMPLETE*

After lunch it was getting close to B and K's banana boat ride excursion. So we decided to split off and meet back up on the ship for sail away later that day. I went off to explore the island and take it all in.

The island is so beautiful these pictures can't even do it justice. Disney did a great job in picking this island. Even the flowers are gorgeous.
ry%3D320

This was my favorite flower I saw...(anyone know what it is?)

Mount Rustmore...
ry%3D320

After wandering the whole island and stopping to buy some castaway merchandise I started to head back to the ship.

ry%3D320

ry%3D320

Just before getting on the ship I spotted the Castaway post office and I decided I wanted to send home a postcard.
ry%3D320

Well the whole island is cash-less (you use your room card) EXCEPT the post office. Well I didn't have cash so no postcard for the fam.

I made my way back onto the ship and back to my room to drop off my purchases. It was getting close to the time where everyone had to be on the ship so I decided to take a short nap and wait for B to call.

Up next...Disney dreams and Animators for dinner

Oooooh, it is so pretty on the island!!! Beautiful pictures!

you took amazing pics. the island is gorgeous.

don;t know the flower but it was pretty.

Beautiful pictures Cheryl! I can't believe you found Captain Jack and no line! That's so much fun. It's a good thing you are warning people about cash only at the Post Office. It will help future cruisers, but it is not so good for you. What a great idea to send a postcard home from Castaway Cay!

Castaway Cay looks like an absolute dream! :lovestruc

It really is! I now know why people here on the boards rave about it so much. It really is just relaxing, beautiful...paradise.

Oooooh, it is so pretty on the island!!! Beautiful pictures!

Thanks!

Thanks! I can't believe we saw him either. I was so excited. We had seen him before going to dinner the night before (pirate night) but the line was suppppper long so we decided to pass. I'm glad we did because we had the capt all to ourselves on the island for 10 mintues!!

Looks like you are going on a Chrismas trip!!!! Too bad we are going to miss each other though. :(:(

Mini Update:
I'm working on the next couple updates. I have a pretty busy next couple of days so they should be up on Tues. Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!!!

Wow Cheryl! You took some amazing pictures on Castaway Cay! The flowers are beautiful! :flower3: That is so cute that you saw Lilo & Stitch! I wish I ran into them there! The picture of you with Captain Jack is fantastic! He's looking very sexy in that shot! :lovestruc

I missed the Post Office when we got off the ship too. I didn't see it until everyone was rushing back to the ship becasue a storm was coming and then it was just a mad house in there! I did manage to find some change to mail out one post card, but it took weeks to get to my parents' house.

Cookie's BBQ was so good! We were shocked at how goos it was! Did they bring around ice cream for you? That was the highlight for me! :goodvibes

10 whole minutes with Captain Jack... pirate: :faint:

The trip is not yet 100% official, even though I have the room booked, my tickets, my ticket for MVMCP and my flight booked! It really depends on when I get to school, I don't really know when exams will be finished, or even if I have any! Scary! So in a little over a month, I'll know for sure. It's just torture!

It didn't feel like I was napping for long when B called. She wanted to see us pull out from the island. So I headed down to their room to meet them. We made our way up to deck 10 and we kept hearing announcements looking for people. I guess some guests were trying to stay behind in paradise. Finally once everyone was accounted we started to set sail.

The castaway cay CM's were waving good bye.
ry%3D320

We decided to head back to our rooms to change for dinner since tonights show would be starting soon. So thats exactly what we did.

We met back up again infront of the Walt Disney theater a little while later. Even K came. I don't think he knew that this show was a musical. We made our way into the theater and we grabbed the same seats we had the night before.

ry%3D320

I thought the show was really great. There was a little bit of every fairytale, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and the Little Mermaid. It was so cool because at points there was fake snow and bubbles that fell from the ceiling. It really made you feel like you were under the sea and in the palace back yard in the snow with Belle. Very cool! Even K enjoyed the show and thats saying a lot from a guy that doesn't like musicals.

After the show we made a dash to one of the adult clubs on route 66 for some bingo!!!
ry%3D320

Needless to say we didn't win anything. But we had a total blast I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time.

After bingo it was time for dinner. I was so excited to try animators since i've heard so much about it.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

We made our way in and the whole resturant is all in black and white. There are screens all throughout the place showing clips of Disney classics.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

We were quickly greeted by our servers and they explained to us that we should watch the walls as something magical would be happening through dinner.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

Here is B and K getting ready to order.
ry%3D320

Slowly one by one as we were eating the portraits would turn to color.
ry%3D320

I just had to share if you go on a Disney cruise get the steak and scallops from Animators..mmmm so good!
ry%3D320

Before dessert all the servers came out and paraded around the resturant their uniforms had change from white to color along with the resturant. At this point everything was in color.
ry%3D320

After dinner we said our goodbyes to our tablemates since we didn't know if they would be showing up for breakfast the next morning. B, K and myself were really sad that our cruise was quickly coming to an end. We made our way back to our rooms after dinner to change and as we were making our way to the elevator in the main lobby the characters were saying their last goodbyes.
ry%3D320

I got a little teary thinking how fast this whole cruise had gone by.

We got down to our rooms changed and packed. Our bags had to be packed and outside our door by 11 and at this point it was 10:30. We got everything packed ad outside the door for pickup and we decided to catch the New Narnia movie that started at 11:30 in the Vista (I believe thats what it was called) theater. I don't think that the movie let out untill about 2:30 and at that point B was so tired. I told them I wanted to check out deck 10 one last time and I would see them in the morning for breakfast.
The ship was so quiet it was like I had the whole thing to myself. There were some people playing basketball at that time but other than that I didn't see ayone up on deck with me. I star gazed for a bit and just enjoyed the open water. It's so relaxing!!!

Before heading back to my room I stopped at the soda bar and got myself a lemonade and made my way back to my room. There wasn't going to be much sleeping tonight since we had to be up at breakfast at 6:45.

When I got to my room my bed was turned down as usual and all my towel animals were arranged. (I saved them each night because I wanted to get a picture of all of them) so here it is...
ry%3D320

After watching a bit of Mulan I was getting hungry again. Room Service time! I called and placed my order and then a few minutes later I got a call. It was room service saying they were out of the "cake of the day" and if I would rather have a mickey bar instead. I totally forgot about the mickey bars!!! SURE I said and within 10 minutes my order had arrived.
ry%3D320

Don't ask me why I got two mickey bars but I didn't complain. I just wish I had a freezer so I could of saved it. There was no way I could of eaten the hot dog, soup and 2 mickey bars. I had all I could do to eat the one.
ry%3D320

After my room service I didn't want to sleep because I knew what was coming in the morning...back to land. I kept the tv on the movie channel and fell off to sleep....

Up next: Morning already?!

My wakeup call came fast and I had 30 minutes to get dressed and up to breakfast. Before I knew it B and K were at my door ready to go. I grabbed my stuff and up we went to animators (you have breakfast at the night befores resturant.)
It was a quiet breakfast since no one wanted to leave. All our tablemates were there except the 2 Dr's. We all talked about our plans after and One of the mother/daughter groups was going back to Pop Century (where I was going) I never ended up seeing them though. An announcement came on and said that guests could now start disembarking. :( It was so sad. We said our goodbyes to our great servers...
ry%3D320
and made our way down.
Before we could make it down to the lobby we walked through the photo store. It's kind of like Disney photopass. All through the cruise photographers were taking pictures of us on the beach, at dinner and with characters. This store has them all printed and displayed on the walls and you can just pick through and see if you want any and bring them to the register.
I really liked this picture of B and I and wish now that I would of gotten it.
ry%3D320

This was the only picture of the 3 of us....and my redneck version came out so blurry...
ry%3D320

B and I bought our Capt. Jack pictures and we were on our way heading down to the lobby.
ry%3D320

That was the saddest sight of the whole cruise. Thats when it hit the 3 of us that it was actually over. We had such a great time and I'm glad that we were able to go together. If it seems like this morning was very quick paced well thats because it was. Basically they want you off as soon as possible since they need to clean the ship as there is another cruise taking off later that afternoon.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

After leaving the ship we walked down the corridor and ended up in what seemed to be a luggage cellar. It was so dark and not Disney-like. We quickly found our luggage on the tables (it had already been screened by security) and off to customs we went. All three of us went through together and the guy was so nice. So not the same experience I had coming back from Paris. But anyway after customs it was time to part ways. They needed to head to parking and I was headed toward the Disney bus. We hugged a tearful goodbye since we didn't knwo when we would be seeing each other again. Then we parted ways. I made my way over to the many busses and checked in. They showed me which bus I was on. Once I was on the bus and situated I called home and told my family that I was safe and all about my trip. We were on the bus for about 45 minutes before we finally took off for Disney World.
As we pulled out we drove past the ship one more time so I of course took some pics.
Here is the ship that was docked next to us...

It was a pretty quiet ride back to WDW we watched a cute video about Disney. It was a little different than the usual magical express one. Once we made it to the WDW gates thats where the problems happend. First stop was going to be SSR. We made it to that resort alright. Next up was the WL. Well we drove and drove all around...not because the driver didn't know where he was going but because the iron man marathon was happening and so many roads were closed. We finally made it to the WL and everyone cheered. Not in a rude way though. I was so happy that everyone on the bus was in a good mood and not stressed. I hate when people get upset over something that isnt the bus drivers fault. The driver was joking around with us the whole way. Up next was Pop century!!! I made it to the resort around noon.

Up next Check in...I'm at Disney World!

Hahaha yes that Capt. Jack was very sexy. K couldn't understand why we kept taking about him the whole way to the beach. haha I think it's kind of obvious:confused3

Yup they did bring us ice cream. K and I passed but B didn't. Her and that ice cream. She was in heaven the whole time specially the whole time on the ship with the free use of the ice cream machine.

Thanks! I can't believe we saw him either. I was so excited. We had seen him before going to dinner the night before (pirate night) but the line was suppppper long so we decided to pass. I'm glad we did because we had the capt all to ourselves on the island for 10 mintues!!

I couldn't believe we had that much time with Capt. Jack! It was such an awesome moment.

Ohhhh I hope everything works out for you to head down to WDW!!! You will have to keep me updated! :goodvibes

:woohoo: your at Disney

:sad1: your cruise is over.

the cruise looked like lots of fun. I might try it someday.

Excellent updates!! I'm sad to see your cruise is over but I'm super excited to hear all about your time at Disney World!!!

Yup time to party at WDW!

I'm all caught up. Finally! :cool1:

Yay! Glad you are still reading!

Great pics! We ate at Animator's Palate on our last night too. Weren't the menus neat? Loved it! I hated seeing that sign in the morning when it's time to leave the ship. It looks like you had such a magical cruise and I'm glad your Trippie isn't over because you're on your way to WDW!

Looks like you are going on a Chrismas trip!!!! Too bad we are going to miss each other though. :(:(QUOTE]

I was just re-looking at all your pictures and re-reading your TR and realized what you are saying here! (DUH!) It IS too bad that we'll miss each other! It would be fun to meet you.

So it was just about noon and I grabbed my luggage off the bus and made my way in to Pop! I just love this resort, the music, bright colors and friendly CM's. There was a line at check in and it took me about 20 minutes to make my way to the front. I quickly checked in and the girl at the desk gave me a birthday button. I was a little suprised since I didn't mention it at all to them. Turns out I found out when I got home that B had called the resort and told them! :goodvibes

After check in I quickly made my way to my room. I got a room in the 50's section looking overlooking the lake.
Here's my view...
ry%3D320

My first order of buisness when I was all unpacked was to decorate my window!
ry%3D320

All decked out in lime green!

After I was all settled I decided to relax and try to take a power nap since I didn't get too much sleep the night before. Well that didn't work too well I was just too excited so off I went to the Magic Kingdom.

It was a nice ride to the park I had the bus almost to myself. I made it to the park around 3 and before I knew it I was walking down Main St. USA! I get goosebumps everytime I walk down towards the castle.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

ry%3D320

I had about 3 hours before I needed to check in for dinner at the Plaza so I wanted to do a run around the park hitting some of my favorites.
First stop was heading to Liberty Square and going on the haunted mansion!
ry%3D320

47b8d908b3127ccec4eeae6ef48100000040O00BaMWzNuzcMQe3nw8

The wait was posted as 20 minutes but I don't think I waited more than 10. That seemed to be a common throughout the whole trip.
While walking to the HM door the Liberty boat went by and I thought this was a cool picture.
ry%3D320

But back to the HM...
ry%3D320

Love the single rose on Master Gracey's grave.
ry%3D320

Made my way into the mansion and I just love this attraction.
ry%3D320

The updates to it are fantastic. I just love the whole new bride story.
After I left the mansion I stopped to see Mr Toad...(straight back between the center bars.)
ry%3D320

Up next I made my way to visit my favorite pirates! They were actually outside doing the pirate tutorial. I got to catch the end.
ry%3D320

ry%3D320

After the tutorial I had to go see Jack Sparrow in his element. I couldn't believe how there was no line! Here is a picture from the queue..
ry%3D320
looks like they have playing for a while...don't ya think?
I made my way down to the boats and as crazy as it sounds I just love the smell of that water. For some reason that just screams Disney World!
ry%3D320

Anyway if you haven't been on this since they updated it, it's fantastic. The addition of Jack Sparrow is awesome and he is so life like!

After my visit with the pirates I made my way back to the main hub and up through Cinderella's castle. Here is a view from the outside of Cinderella's royal table. I hope to eat there someday on a future trip.
ry%3D320

Now since I was in Fantasyland I had to go see Phillarmagic. I made my way through the queue and I found a hidden Mickey!
ry%3D320

I found tons of them on my trip. I think my eye is trained now to look for the 3 circles. I see them EVERYWHERE! haha
ry%3D320

I just love the Disney touch. AutoMagically!

After I made my way through Fantasyland, past toontown on to Tomorrowland. I just had to ride the people mover...ok maybe I rode it twice! "Paging Mr. Morrow...Mr. Tom Morrow. Your party from Saturn has arrived please give them a ring!"

Then I went to Buzz then the Laugh floor. This was my longest wait at about 20 minutes.
ry%3D320

After the laugh floor it was just about time to check in for dinner. I noiced Push out and stopped for a few mintutes to watch. It was so cute to see the kids so amazed by him!
ry%3D320

I made my way out of Tomorrowland and over to the Plaza to check in.
ry%3D320
I didn't wait very long before my name was called it was about 6:20 at this point. The resturant is very small inside and all done in old victorian. My waiter was from a town close to mine so we talked about NH and he was very nice. The service was very quick and before I knew it my meal had come. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. Very very good!

next was dessert...Ice cream brownie sundae!
ry%3D320
It was huge and I couldn't finish it. I thought the meal was great and very reasonably priced. I would eat their again.

After dinner I shopped Main St for a while and decided to head back to the resort. the very little sleep finally caught up with me and I wanted to be fully rested for the next day.

Up next Epcot!
