I'm just wondering what your happiest memory of the Magic is. :goodvibes

I have so many it is hard to pick just one, but if I had to I would pick the very first time I walked down Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. :earseek:

Even though I was in my early 20's. I felt like a child all over again, I guess thats a big part of what keeps me comming back, after all these years, everytime I walk down Mainstreet, I still feel like a child. :grouphug:

30 days and counting before we are back at the Mouse House.

I still get excited when them beauitful women (Cinderella, Ariel...) smile at me

My favorite memory is watching my kids get wide-eyed in Fantasmic when the boat comes out with all of the characters. I got teary!! That's what it was all about!

:wizard: My Happiest memory is watching Wishes w/my friends last year. My first trip to DW was when I was 2 (absolutely no memories). In 2003 I went w/my parents and we only had 1 day to to to MK and it started to rain/storm 10 minutes before the fireworks so they were cancelled :( In 2004, I went back w/my friends at work. (It was also my first time on an airplane!!!!) Anyways, we saw Spectromagic and Wishes. I'm not an emotional person, but I was crying during Wishes. It just made me think of when I was a child and I believed in wishing on stars and magic!!!! It was totally magical. In fact, we went back the next 2 nights just to watch it again!! :) i can't wait to go back in September.

My favorite memory problably is when I road Thunder Mountain Railroad or Splash Mountain with my DS back in 2003. We had a blast. :)

My favorite Disney memory is the first trip back to WDW when I was 14, almost 15 (our first trip, I was 4). We drove underneath that fantastic Walt Disney World sign and I knew we were there and that it would be one of the most magical weeks of my life. We've been numerous times since then but no trip will ever beat that one. It was our first time staying on property (Dixie Landings, then) and we had the most fantabulous family adventure that just can never be topped. It's also the trip that turned me into a true Disney addict! I can't believe that's been 10 years ago, it seems like yesterday!

My happiest memory is riding Space Mountain with my grandfather 23 years ago and riding Cinderella's carousel with my grandmother. What I would give to have that day over again! :wizard:

My best memory--just walking around Disney with my cousin and her 8 year old daughter. We went on our third trip together this past Feb. When I think back on that week, what I really remember is how happy we all were and what a great time we were having. We spent a lot of time just walking and dancing around the World with the 8 year old between us holding hands. The kid NEVER holds our hands anymore at home. It is indeed a priceless memory!

I've had many magical memories - with my friends, my adult family and my family when I was growing up.

I think my favorite memory is riding on IASW in August of 1976 with my Mom, Dad and younger brother. It was the first time we had all been to WDW together (after several trips with one parent or the other or friends) and it was a great trip.

Sadly, my Mom passed away a year later. When my kids were old enough and we were on IASW, I told them that it was my Mom's favorite attraction at WDW. I always think of her when I ride IASW. :sunny:

Watching my son get his first autograph and picture taken with Mickey. It was in November 1991 and they had the Mickey show at Toontown. After the show you could go to Mickey's dressing room for pictures and autograph.

I guess two of my favorite memories are:

Taking my DH to WDW for the first time during the 25th Anniversary Celebration. He was so cute, walking down Mainstreet, he totally got swept up in the magic.

I had always wanted to ride Cinderella's Carousel and for some reason as a child it never happened. When we celebrated our 10th Anniversary my DH took me to the Carousel and told me he wanted to make all my dreams come true. :cloud9:

Can't limit mine to just one trip. I have to say it was all the trips I took as an adult with my father who was in his mid-late 70's at the time. I remember we went the year TOT first opened and after going on it we just went around and went on it again and again and again. He went on every ride, loved them all. I remember sitting and enjoying our meals at Columbia Harbor House. He always took pictures of our food and us eating (it was the only time we slowed down LOL). And the last trip we took together where every ride we went on (including the monorail) we got the front seat. It was like fate. I had a feeling it would be our last trip together. And the wonderful memories are the reason I return to WDW so much. He's still there with me in spirit. :lovestruc

So many...hard to choose. I have a special memory when with my parents, very special memories when I was with dh on our honeymoon. However, the best memory has to be when we went with our ds and saw his enjoyment. Having a child and re-living your own childhood through them is very very special.

Oh I love this thread! My happiest memory at Disneyland was when we walked into the park for the first time and my kids saw Minnie. They were shocked and so was I. I guess I knew we'd see characters but since I hadn't been to DL since 1977 maybe I had forgotten just how great that was! For our first trip to WDW last October it was when my dd and I saw the castle for the first time. I knew it would be beautiful and it was! We were on the way to the Contemporary to go to Chef Mickey's and had taken a cab from ASMO since we were running late. We both started screaming and almost gave the cab driver a heart attack!

I have a couple....
In 2003 when we went I got fanny packs for all 4 of us.... The only thing in my 6 year old son's was "NooNoo" his "blankie". Well, we put our fanny packs on the tables to be searched and the big burly security guard opened them all, when he got to Jack's he opened it, saw NooNoo and gave Jack a wink and a nod and closed it back up. It was just a really sweet moment.

That same trip we had a REALLY hot day and my dh and son don't care for the heat so they went back to the hotel to swim. My dd (then 13) and I had the whole afternoon to ourselves. We ran all over The Magic Kingdom... did Space Mountain then RUSHED back to The Hall of Presidents for the next show.... It was a lot of fun- No Jack and Daddy to slow us down!

That's funny, I also love it when for whatever reason DH and split up and each take one kid. My kids will frequently recount times when they had one parent all to themselves. DD and I love to ride Peter Pan, snuggle up and sing/talk along with the narrative. This kind of thing makes DH and DS think we are on drugs so we just break off and do our thing!

My favorite memory has to be seeing the castle again for the first time in 15 years in 2001. I was crying because I was so happy. It helped knowing I would be coming back in 2002 for the College Progam and I've returned almost every year since.

My favorite memory was our first trip, when DD was 3 years old. We had been talking about Disney for so long, on our trip to the airport we pulled into a Burger King and she said "is this Disney World?" LOL......

We arrived early evening, and we were staying at ASMo. We went to EPCOT, and she had fallen asleep on the bus ride back. She woke up at 3AM, sat up in bed and whispered "Mommy"....I said what?? she ran over to the window, looked out of it, saw the giant dalmation, and in the most breathless voice said "We're at DISNEY WORLD" That moment right there, before we had even seen the castle, or met Mickey Mouse, made all the months of planning so worth it.

Here's mine: I went to the World with DH, some close friends from college and some friends that we met on our honeymoon. We had a great time doing the adult thing in WS. It was also our college friends first trip and seeing their faces all week was just fun. I am excited to start new memories and favorites with my DS. Can't wait!
