I have so many as we've been visiting WDW since 1981 ( how did I get that old - Disneyland and I will be the same age soon ) but what always sticks in my mind was from a couple of years ago when we took my "baby" brother and his family for their 1st trip and I saw the tears in his eyes as he watched his normally very shy 4yo daughter jumping for joy during the MK parade. Disney Magic at it's very best

My magical memory was proposing to the love of my life in front of Cinderella's Castle. The best pixie dust came about 2 hours later when a woman ran up to us and asked if we had just been engaged. When we told her yes, she showed us a picture she had taken on her digital camera. She had a great picture of me putting the ring on her finger. Amazing that she was at the right place and right time. She took our address and mailed us a copy

I have really enjoyed reading all of your magical moments. To us that is what Disney is all about. I said this before in another post, but I think it bears repeating. We believe in the MAGIC of Disney and what it does to everyone, just witnessing the Magic creates a wonderful memory for us and if that Magic finds a way to include us, then the memory is cherished even more.

OK..2 best memories..
1.Our grandparents sent us (my 5 cousins + 4 adults) to the world 10/ 1976 Only MK was there then. During on the parade the wolf pulled me out to dance with him. And Dad, being the expert photographer, caught a picture. Of course it's just one character hand holding onto a 10 yr old's hand..but I know it's mine!!!
2. Taking our own daughters to the World for the first time and doing bfast at Cindy's. My dd talks talks talks and doesn't stop...except when Cinderalla herself came up. She was just like the commercial w/the little boy who says 'i could have talked to him (Mickey) all night. I have a picture (of her face ) all bug eyed.It's priceless!!

The trip I most remember was my first when I was 22yrs old. It was my 81 yr old grandmother's wish to go to WDW. My Gram and I didn't really get along when I was a tenager. When we walked down mainstreet, we saw the castle and then right in front of us was Mickey! I swear I saw what my Gram looked like when she was very young, when she hugged Mickey Mouse. We really mended our stained relationship on that trip, and I am so glad, because my Gram passed away 7 months after the trip.

Going back on Fri. and when I see Mickey I will remember my trip with my Gram, like I always do.

I have to blink the tears out of my eyes to see the computer screen

I have so many memories of WDW, that it is too hard to pick the perfect memory. Here are a couple...
1. My first memory is when my Mom & Dad took my brothers and I to WDW when I was 4, (I am now 35) my mother and I were on Dumbo, and and it started to pour down rain, I remember (yes I actually remember this) looking up at my mom with rain pouring down her face and seeing her face tilted up letting the rain just pour, with the biggest smile and laughing out loud. I was getting upset because I was getting very wet, and I remember laughing too. She had on new green sneakers to match her outfit that day and they turned her feet green for days. Had another laugh later in the hotel room over that one. That rain just kept on giving...

2. Fast forward to May 2004, my DH and I were taking my DD and DGD, to WDW my DGD was 11 months old. Our first night there we had a PS for CRT, we were sitting in the throne room waiting for our names to be called. My daughter was walking my DGD around the room so she wouldn't get bored, she could walk but only holding someone's fingers, she wasn't brave enough to walk by her self yet, and had only taking 1 or 2 steps at home by herself. Well Cinderella walked in and my DGD saw her from across the room, and let go of her mom's had and walked about 15-20 steps across the room to Cinderella, my daughter was yelling Mom she's walking, she's walking very loudly getting our attention, (and everyone else's in the room) everyone just cleared a path to see how far she would go, seeing her toddle her way to Cinderella was wonderful, we were all in tears by the time she got there. Cinderella saw her coming and dropped down to the floor and caught her in her arms and sat her on her lap and just hugged her, telling her how proud she was of her, and everyone in the room was clapping. The rest of the trip we couldn't keep her down, she was walking everywhere and hasn't stopped since. Of course I only got 2 pictures, because my camera was in my bag (of course), so I didn't get it on video. But the memory will always be very strong!

Well now that I have wiped all of the make up off of my eyes, and everyone keeps asking me what is wrong, I just smile, and say "nothing". Thanks for sharing all of your memory’s, they are wonderful, and hope we all keep "Making Memory’s"

I'm sitting here crying like a baby! When DD was making her wish for the Make A Wish "wish granters" She didn't really know what she wished. I hadn't told her that they were coming and we surprised her. Her first wish was " I want to go to where the fairies live" Seeing as that was almost impossible for us to grant she then wished to go to where the unicorns are. How precious it must be to be a 6yo girl. We asked who her favorite fairy was and she said Tink. Then her eyes got very wide and she said she wanted to go to Disney World to meet Tinkerbell. When asked what she thinks WDW will be like all she can say is "Like a dream come true" in a very dreamy voice. I've offered to skip WDW and just go to Six Flags and she's all for it! LOL She doesn't fully comprehend exactly what WDW is and how much magic there will be. I can't wait until she sees that castle.

i alwyas had a great time going with my family and friends...but last february, i went with the family that i babysit for...their mom and dad and a 3 and 6 year old..i love those boys like they were my family, so seeing disney through their eyes was amazing

My favorite memory is watching the Red Sox beat the Oakland A's in the playoffs and the Pats beat the Titans on a beautiful Sunday at the ESPN Zone. After that we made our way to the World Showcase and "toured the bars" in each country. After ordering our beers (wine in France), we had our picture taken with the person who served us. I remember that we had about 90 minutes until the park closed when we started. After that, it gets a little fuzzy...

I have had a lot of magical moments at Disney but one of favorites is my 35 B-day at Disney in 1985.
I had 2 rooms booked at the CB (the value resorts were not built yet) since 5 of us were going. I later called and asked if there was any way we could get one room for 5 people at about the same price since I really wanted to spend my B-day with dh and not have to split up to be with the kids.
She told me there was a room available at the Contemporary and it was even a few $ less. I booked it right away. I thought it was in a garden wing but gee it was a monorail hotel. How cool.
When we checked in I was asked if I wanted a water view or a view of the park.
I said Park!
Our room was on the 7th floor and when I went on the balcony I could see
Space Mountain and the castle!!
I called my Mom and told her I thought I died because truely this must be what heaven is like.

There have been so many happy memories over the years, I will try to hit the highlights
1. First trip was with a buddy when MK was less then one year old.
The magic felt by 2 twenty something guys who grew up with Walt and had never been able to go to see Disneyland was beyond belief.
2. Honeymoon trip in 1974
3. Bringing DW's baby sister for her first trip in 1976.
4. Bringing my Mom and our DD for thier first trip in 1986
5. Our 1st Christmas at WDW in 1996
6. Our 29th anniversary trip in 2003 [1st time on site]
7. Our 1st MVMCP in 2004 with our DGS for his 1st trip.
8. Our 31st anniversary trip this year [1st time at POFQ]
9. With God's help, many more years of firsts to come.

Honeymoon in 1998.

We stayed at the cabins at FW. It was about 11:30 PM. and I could not sleep so I am reading. My Wife is asleep next to me when she says in a childs voice "No Tigger, No Pooh Bear!". I did not laugh, I wanted to. I almost fell out of the bed not laughing, but I did not Laugh.

The next morning when I told her, she would not believe me.

We get to bring our 2 children in November. Our daughter was found to be type 1 diabetic in October and We need the trip. I am saving money for a trip in 06 and diverting attention away from it by looking at BIG screan tv's.

Hands down walking down Main st. on first full day in Disney. It was our first time, our girls were in their princess dresses, and my 5 year old yells "Mommy look it's Cinderella's house". I felt the tears well, but sucked it up, since my DD 7 usually thinks I'm said. That will always be one of the top ten memmories of my life!

When I was 11 and rode Peter Pan´s for the first time, and realized that dreams do can true
and when me and dh got out of the Splach Mountain (our first ride of the trip) and look at each other (sooked and sooooooooooooooo happy)

The look on my daughter's face when in Epcot she saw that red double decker bus, music blaring & full of smiling characters, pull up and empty out right in front of her. She couldn't believe her eyes and just kept running up and hugging each of the characters. DISNEY - there just aren't words to describe the magic that it holds for a three year old........ and her mom!

I guess two of my favorite memories are:

Taking my DH to WDW for the first time during the 25th Anniversary Celebration. He was so cute, walking down Mainstreet, he totally got swept up in the magic.

I had always wanted to ride Cinderella's Carousel and for some reason as a child it never happened. When we celebrated our 10th Anniversary my DH took me to the Carousel and told me he wanted to make all my dreams come true.

Can't limit mine to just one trip. I have to say it was all the trips I took as an adult with my father who was in his mid-late 70's at the time. I remember we went the year TOT first opened and after going on it we just went around and went on it again and again and again. He went on every ride, loved them all. I remember sitting and enjoying our meals at Columbia Harbor House. He always took pictures of our food and us eating (it was the only time we slowed down LOL). And the last trip we took together where every ride we went on (including the monorail) we got the front seat. It was like fate. I had a feeling it would be our last trip together. And the wonderful memories are the reason I return to WDW so much. He's still there with me in spirit.

This one right after the one with the hubby making her dreams come true? Too much! *sniff sniff*
