Yes there is handicapped parking in front of Rapa Nui. There are a couple of spots directly in front of Rapa Nui but in the parking lot itself there are several spots on the East side of the lot. I think these might work best for you as the walk on that side of Rapa Nui affords the shortest walk to Tahiti as I recall. I think that might be even shorter than cutting through Rapa Nui especially if your room is on the East end of Tahiti.
This lot is totally separate from the main lot. When you go through the gate you will take a right rather than a left toward the Grand Ceremonial House. Of course for checking in you might want to drive down there first and let the bell captain know you've arrived. They can check to see if your room is ready and take your luggage if you wish.
