Clarification to my post. I stayed at the doubletree, not the Hampton inn.

We are at the Doubletree right now. We are pretty picky for our hotel stays. this hotel is clean and we have been happy. it just seems that all the hotels in the area are older and need revamping. I am surprised at how old the entire area feels and looks. With so many people coming through here you would think there would be the money to make things fresher and newer.

agreed.. i guess everyone wants a beach view more than updated accommodations.

Totally agree. I've never been impressed with the Cocoa Beach area or felt the need to stay more than one night pre-cruise.
