Plus, being the HR person in charge of getting everyone at work to dress up and particiapte in activities we are providing, I want to have an impressive costume this year. I usually have a lame excuse for not dressing up, but this year I will do it.

OMG, MaryJo!! Thank you so much for sharing all those wonderful pics!!! Wow. There are so many more decorations in those pics then there was during the day.

We were there last year in October so we saw some during the day, but we skipped the party. Now I am so excited to be there!!!

I hate to be a downer but I my experience last year was very disappointing. I moved to California last year and I decided to go with my mom for some Halloween spirit. I think I was misinformed about the festivities because I had mistaken the trick or treat party for MNSSHP so I was expecting more. It was cute and I tried to make the best of it but it was really embarassing being the only teenager (17 at the time) dressed up; not to mention that there were absolutely NO adults dressed up either. I actually changed back to my regular clothes within the hour because I was getting stares

The candy was quite strange too. And I was expecting a large Halloween parade but there was only one float with Mickey and Minnie and it was clearly for the kids. I'm going to MNSSHP in Florida this year instead. I hope things will be better.

Aw, that's too bad. I'm sorry to hear that. I'm surprised too because I've seen so many pics with lots of people dressed up. Maybe it depends on the day you go?

The parade at MNSSHP is really cool. I've been there before, you'll like it, but the night we went it was so packed! You could barely walk around, so I hope when you do it won't be as bad.

I agree with MaryJo about Knott's Scary Farm if you are a teen. I used to go there all the time in HS with friends and husband (then my boyfriend). Very fun and very scary!!

Now that I have four kids we stick with the more family friendly entertainment like Disney. Although as soon as they are old enough, I'm taking them to Knott's too. lol

It's not that I was looking for a teen experience. I've been to Knott's many times and it's fun if you want the scary thing but that's not what I was looking for.

I just thought there were going to be more decorations and such. It felt a little weak is all because usually Disney doesn't skimp. I didn't think a few decorations were worth 50 dollars a person when I already have premium passes. I'm a kid at heart! I love all things Disney but they didn't really do that much. I guess I expected it to be like the extensive Christmas decorations.

Mary Jo you got me all excited for it and I have to add this pic I got last year as well...I was in TOT and the people ahead of me waiting to go into the elevator were dressed up as Master Gracey and bride

I absolutely loved the costume and asked if I could take their pic and share it on here and they were pretty happy to let me...I dont know if you can tell but the brides heart beats red...it was sooooooooooo cool


oh and he looks more like cousin huet than master gracey but oh well its all in the family right?

Just joined the DisBoard. We'll be at the party on 10/30 (with our friends from Oregon - it will be their daughter's 6th birthday). We can't wait!
We enjoyed MNSSHP last year (fun, even in the rain).

I don't see MHT as a party like MNSSHP, just way to minimize crowds and get your favorite rides in with some free candy!

Something came up for us AND Miss Miley is having her bday and I know the parks are going to be a hott mess that weekend, so I guess it's good we're pushing it back a week! Now we'll be there the same weekend as your and your familia!! Omg, how exciting!!!

I'm buying my tickets Friday after I get paid!! WOOOHOOOO!
