@ten6mom -- looks like the majority of restaurants aren't able to be booked yet for early October....
even thought the calendar allows you to book up to October 7, its only a handful of places and plaza inn isn't one of them

They are probably still working out the opening hours for the park, so they can't take reservations until that is set.

Are you two looking for reservations at the Plaza Inn? The Plaza Inn is counter service and doesn't take reservations. (Of course, I have no knowledge of this for party nights.)

My guess would be that they are trying to book Minnie's Breakfast at the Plaza Inn.

I think character meals and WoC dining packages aren't loaded in for October yet. We've been able to make all our other dining reservations but when we try to book our WoC package October is completely grayed out like you said.

I'd guess they're maybe waiting for park hours and/or entertainment schedules to firm up before loading those?

I'm totally bummed. The Happiest Haunt tour that's about HM isn't even going inside the building. What the heck?? I only found that out because I called. Tickets go on sale tomorrow and there isn't any info listed about it really. I was really jazzed to go but it looks like I'll be $85 better off now.

I ended up calling. Initially she said it's because park opening and closing hours haven't been published yet so they wouldn't do breakfast or dinner reservations. However, while I had her on the phone I looked at Carnation Cafe (also inside the park and also does breakfast) and lo and behold they have breakfast times available for those dates.

Naturally she didn't know why either. The open/close times makes perfect sense, but the CC being available is yet another inconsistency. The computer/internet technology with DL is a head-scratcher for sure.

that doesnt seem like its worth 85 bucks. i will be interested to hear peoples opinions on it after they have done it. so hopefully someone on here posts about it!

It really doesn't. Not in my opinion. I really had high hopes too. I'm going the first weekend of Halloween time so I can't even wait to hear reviews to decide if I want to do it. :/

How are they going to kill an hour and a half walking around the outside of HM? I thought it was a stretch even when I thought you would go inside... There must be some info they are not releasing.

Ok why is Disney still only showing 40 day's out from today on their calendar! I see people are having trouble booking Character meals for October? My 60 day's out for reservations is this Friday, I hope I am able to start booking.
