I just received a mailer from Disney Chase Visa & in the mailer it has a section on Halloween time at DLR & WDW and it says: Dare to Dine: Enjoy a special "Mystics Spirits" dinner at the Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square where creepy decor sets a mysterious mood. Call 714-781-DINE to make your reservation. So, it looks like they are bringing this back again this year. So anyone interested may wanna call and reserve this.:maleficen:hmghost:

We are really considering doing the mickey mouse halloween party this year. I'm nervous about getting tickets though, we are trying to wait until after we get our AP's so we can take advantage of the discount, which is in about a week and a half. So I'm hoping there will still be tickets available!

Page one of this thread has last year's Halloween party dates and lists the dates each party sold out. So you can get an idea of if you'd maybe want to buy tickets sooner than when you're planning.

UGH still having trouble deciding on when to go!

I have touringplans that show estimated crowd levels, but have found that to be pretty off sometimes. Does anyone here have insight of the difference between the week of Oct. 17-21, and Oct 24-28? I'm definitely wanting the lowest crowds I can get. Any conventions, or otherwise effect those weeks?

I just got off the phone with them. They don't have any information yet, so I guess we have to wait a little longer. I don't think they opened reservations last year until like the 6th or 7th of September last year.

I think UEA occurs during your first set of dates.

Yes, it was really late last year.

Thank you for the reply! That really helps me decide! :goodvibes

Thanks for this!

Oh man, more decisions! We went to this last year. It made such an impression on the kids, they looooved it. But guessing they'll be raising the prices from even last year!

I just found out I may be in Long Beach for a September meeting during a week with two parties! I'm seriously considering going. I'd head out after the meeting so I probably won't be there until the party starts. I'll be going again late October with the whole family so we will be running around like crazy then.

Besides calmly checking out the decorations, any suggestions for things to do as a solo party goer?

1. Get lots of candy.
2. Enjoy the headless horseman and costume calvacade, or whatever parade they present this year.
3. Watch the Halloween fireworks show.
4. Get lots more candy.

You can also go on some rides that you like to do but your family doesn't like and occasionally have little to no wait during certain times of the party.

This sounds neat. Ive never heard of it. Any more details or anyone done this and can fill me in.

Will a party map be released online or do we have to wait for the actual party?? The schedule for 9/26 shows the time for the Halloween Screams fireworks show!!!

You'll typically see someone post a picture of the map during, or right after the first party. This board is a great place to find it shortly after or during the first party of the year.

We are going to the second party so hopefully someone will post a photo Saturday morning to I can check it out before we leave for our trip!!

Is it worth it to go to DL just for the MHP??? Am working on booking a 5 day cruise next year, and depending on dates, may decide to extend the trip by a day to stay in LA. Debating between DL and Knotts for the day I leave the boat. Waffling between the 2, and have to make a decision in Jan when I book air and hotel.

Yes, I think it would be worth it!

I might end up going to DL for a day. My plans are subject to when the cruise dates come out for their realignment cruises, which should be in Oct sometime. When I know the dates, I can book the add on trip around the cruise. Since I have a credit at an airline, it makes it viable to do. Just have to wait on the cruise dates before making a decision. Thanks to Westjet thoroughly making me livid, I've got a $200 flight credit sitting in my account with them. Irony is that I don't want to fly with them anymore.

I just got my ticket for my second party date September 26th. If I can afford a third date I will get one for September 28th. I wonder if some of the dates will not sell out this year since they have up the price of the tickets this year. Now to pick which two costumes to wear. One of the costumes in consideration is being worked on right now.

Can we still wear costumes to the party if we go in before the party officially starts?
