Halloween @ WDW, MMNSSHP

Hi all,

I'm not sure where this fits in on the board so I hope this section is ok!

We are throwing around the idea of doing a DCL Halloween cruise in 2011 with our 5 year old daughter, we would come out 2 days before the cruise and be there 2 days after the cruise and are thinking about doing the Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Can anyone give me an idea money wise how much this party would cost (it is a separate ticket right), and if it's something that I would need to worry about it selling out quickly if it would be the Fri or Sat before Halloween (Halloween in 2011 is on a Monday, we'll be on the cruise for actual Halloween).

How does this party work? When are dates for it usually released? I tried getting an idea by looking at the 2010 schedule but I don't see any dates released for that yet (unless I'm looking in the wrong area).

MNSSHP dates are not usually released until around May 1st.

They haven't posted the 2010 dates yet so the 2011 dates won't come out for over a year. But when they announce the hours for the parks for 2011 you can pretty much guess that when the Magic Kingdom closes at 7:00 p.m. that the Halloween party will be on those nights.

Last years rates were $52/adult and $46/child on non premium dates. Premium dates the rates were $59/adult and $53/child. If you are thinking of going the Fri/Sat before Halloween and Halloween is on a Monday I would guess that date would be considered a premium night.

The Halloween party is totally worth the extra cost. We are actually thinking of going to the Halloween party twice this year. When we've gone we walk on rides with little or no wait. We get so much done in such a short time its worth the cost to us.

Last year we spent right at $200 for MNSSHP tickets. I know this because it was our Chase rewards card from bonus points that we used to pay for it. I think I may have put a few $ on my Visa tax. This was for 2 adults, 5 year old, and 7 year old.

Thanks so much for all the info! I'm so excited! We just booked and paid our deposit on the Oct 30, '11 DCL cruise today and we decide that the MNSSHP is a must! Now to plan our Halloween costumes! Soo.. soo excited! And soo far away!

We did the mnsshp 2 times and loved it. My sisters kids went last time 8yr and 11yrs band they loved it too. They really enjoyed dressing up in their costumes and trick or treating. The weather was perfect while we were there too. Def a must do.

My niece and I are taking my 2 DSons on our first time for the MNSSHP this year the weekend of Halloween. We are so excited. We haven't told the boys yet, we are going to make it a surprise. They don't have school on the Friday before Halloween so we will leave out that morning.
