I know we don't know for sure the route of the halloween parade yet, but can anyone point me to a map of previous parades in DCA? I've never seen a parade there so I'm trying to visualize the possible route and possible viewing locations.
thanks in advance!
i actually gasped out of excitementI know you all will appreciate this. But the Mickey pumpkin is up on Main Street

When I walked into the park, I squealed, as did many of the guests lol. There was a long line for pictures as I was leaving around 10:30.i actually gasped out of excitement

Not sure. I am going the 2nd week of the parties and will see what people say on the first few nightsThanks so much!! Any suggestions on the best viewing locations?
Do they do any premium viewing packages for this fireworks? My DD11 is a HUGE NMBC fan and I would definitely pay for that....HALLOWEEN SCREAMS WITH FIREWORKS SCHEDULE IS UP!!!!!![]()
I don't think so. Fireworks here can be a wild card since the park is near neighborhoods and the freeway. If there is wind they won't do them, or stop them midway. So it wouldn't be smart to offer packages for them. There will be upset guests.Do they do any premium viewing packages for this fireworks? Are they doing the fireworks for the Halloween parties? I know there's the parade and World of Color.I don't think so. No the halloween screams are at DL on the weekends this yearAre they doing the fireworks for the Halloween parties? I know there's the parade and World of Color.
The DCA parade route is almost a mile long from start to finish -- there is a lot of good viewing all along the route! There are benches. There is curbside viewing. There is good viewing from the second row. It isn't quite the problem as it is in DL when the route is so long. Thanks so much!! Any suggestions on the best viewing locations?
Although we do miss the Country Bears in their tutus!Aaaand the Halloween Parade is 10x better than the Cavalcade they rolled out the first few years.
Thank you! We will have to see how much time she wants to spend staking out a spot. Any suggestions on good viewing spots for the Halloween Screams Fireworks at DL?I don't think so. I vote for Main Street where you have a good view of the castle. I'm assuming that on nights when there are fireworks, it's gonna be the same show they've presented in previous years (i.e., with the orb, Zero, Castle projections, etc.). The orb rises on the left side of the castle, so you'll want to be in a spot where you can see that side.Thank you! We will have to see how much time she wants to spend staking out a spot. So I just went ahead and canceled the WCT dinner for the parade. Instead I booked a dessert party for Wednesday night instead. I just can't bear the thought of not seeing WoC one way or another and I don't know if I can deal with the line up during a party. We want to have time to enjoy the party, because we likely won't do one again.
I will be really curious to hear the reviews as the parties get started though.
Last winter we were waiting to see if WoC would come back up after it was broken for so long. I think we were two weeks out to our trip when one morning it just appeared. I'd been checking every day. It was worth it. I hope the dates pop up for you soon.Neither has gone on sale yet for my dates (Oct 20th to 24th) and I'm stressing out more and more. I'm thinking it's going to turn into a 4am alarm every day to check. At 60 days out things didn't book up as fast (probably because the vacation felt so far away), but if we get down to four weeks or something people are going to be thinking a lot more about booking plans :-/
Also, I hate the idea that the WCT is "first come first serve"; have they posted the time for the Halloween Parade yet? I want a late dinner (if possible) because we usually have a large table service lunch... but I don't want all the 4pm dinner guys getting the reserved Halloween upgrades!
