Can someone please explain the Halloween Party to me ??
I have read the post about it, but not sure when it actually starts, and when I am supposed to arrive.......

If you are already in the park ... what happens ?
If you are arriving specifically for the party what time ?

Also.... seems as if EVERYONE is eating at LTT before it starts.... what am I missing if I don't do this ????

Just a character meal or is something else included ?

This will be our first time (as you can tell) .... we are going on the 1st of October, and we want to do it right !!

Thanks !! :earsboy:

Hi Buzz. The party officially starts at 7. MK closes at 6pm and they start herding everyone out of the park (they were super efficient in this last year). The party attendees are directed to Tomorrowland where they can hang out and ride rides until 7 pm. Last year they also had a dj in this area.

I believe that you can start getting your wristband (which identifies you as a party goer) at around 4pm. If you were to enter the MK that morning, you'd need to go back up to the front of the park after that time (but prior to 6) to get your wristband.

If you are arriving specifically for the party, I would get there sometime between 5 and 6.

As for LTT, I did not do this last year, but I am doing it before one of the parties I attend this year. From what I've heard the characters there are dressed in costume. It sounds pretty fun.

The party was a blast. I called it e-night on steroids. You should have a great time!

We're dining at our resort so DS can nap before we head over to the party (10/31) Also, I think it would be too hot to wear costumes all day beforehand.
The last two MNSSHP we attended (both 10/31) the bus ride from YC to MK was a lot of fun!!

Hi,
as stated above if you are in the park they usher you to tomorrowland at 6 o'clock...we got our wristband around 5pm in front of the castle...you show your ticket and they give you a wristband no need to go back up front...they will find you even if you try to hide (like we did just for fun after we got our bands)...they are very good with their sweep of the park! the rides and trick or treating are open in tomorrowland starting at 6 and at 7 you can leave to other areas...

LTT is the only place open for sit down dinner before the party...we did the last lunch at crystal palace and had candy as our dinner so we would not miss a thing at the party....

check out the thread at the top of this page for more specific info

HAVE A BLAST and stay late if you can it gets very thin after the last parade and fireworks...we did splash mountain 3 times in a row once without getting off at 11pm at night!!!

How were the crowds on 10/31? We will be going that day this year and I lamented over whether to go on Halloween or choose a potentiallly less crowded night. And even tho I already bought my 10/31 tickets this concern is still haunting me:(
I hope that since you went twice on 10/31 it means that crowds were not a big factor -- yes?:goodvibes

I have PS for the Castle before the party. Around 5:30. LTT is not the only place to have a sit down dinner before the party. I think the Crystal Palace is also available.

So if I got a PS at the Crystal Palace for 6:00 would we be allowed to enter the park and just stay until 7:00 when the party begins? Also, is it absolutely necessary to come in costume? This will be an adult only trip for us and I'm not sure how the others in our group would feel about dressing up.

This party is definitely not to be missed!!!!

We have done both the halloween and christmas parties, and have loved both. We've gotten in the parks with our party tickets at 4pm, and then ushered into Tomorrowland until 7p (or whatever time the party starts). So we didn't use our passes that day, just got in early to MK with the MNSSHP tix, and then went from there.

You don't have to get dressed up in costume, but when I made my PS the CM told me that one year she went and did not get dressed up, she felt out of place because everyone else was dressd up.

Hi,
Halloween night is very busy. It usually sells out. However, don't be discouraged. It truly is one of the most exciting nights at WDW. You just might have to find a parade viewing spot a little earlier than usual. I love seeing all the costumes and the CM's are especially engaging. And don't forget the Special Event MNSSHP pin. You'll have a great time.
