I love going for Halloween and I'm going for the second time this year BUT I LOVE the month of December and going to MVMCP (done it 3 times now)...but I would never go Christmas week; its just way too crowded. Halloween week is not though.

If I had to choose between Halloween and MVMCP/December (before Christmas) it would be MVMCP/December hands down!!!

Halloween!

I don't spend Halloween with extended family like I do at Christmastime.

I would love to go at a less crowded time but, the kids have 10 days off in a row at xmas, the husband has 10 days off also due to company shutdown for the holidays, so xmas it is! lol

HALLOWEEN

We enjoy being home for Christmas and since I host Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas day brunch & dinner for the extended family I'm usually super busy in December getting things prepared!

Halloween. Christmas is waaaay too crowded for me. I am going the first week of December this year though. :)

I voted for Christmas, although it would have to be early December! I'm not sure that I could handle the crowds during Christmas week.

We went the week before Halloween last year and had the best trip of our lives! Loved MNSSHP! :teeth:

We are looking forward to our early December trip as well and seeing all the decorations and MVMCP!
:sunny:

I voted for Halloween. I really enjoyed goiing in October. The weather was perfect and very low crowds.

I would like to visit during the Christmas season, but not during Christmas week. It would be too crowded for me. Besides we have so many Christmas activities, it would be hard to get away then.

While I think both would be a great time to go, I voted for Christmas! It's my very favorite holiday! :)

Halloween slightly over Christmas. Actually, we're going down for our first Halloween pretty soon. I do plan on visiting during Christmas time eventually; I want to see if it's terribly crowded as everyone says it is. ;)

Well, I can't imagine there is any 'bad' time to go to WDW (except for during a hurricane!) but I had to vote for Christmas since we're going in less than 80 days now! Also, I think Halloween would be lots of fun and probably better weather however there is no way I could pull my kids out of school in Oct and we're just too far for a long weekend. We have to go when there is school breaks so it's Christmas, Easter break or summer. We've done summer so now we're trying Christmas. We anticipate crowds but want to soak up the atmosphere and holiday cheer!

If you are asking about Christmas Day, no. I will be there the 11-18 to celebrate Christmas with Disney and Friends.

Also making plans to celebrate Disney's Halloween 2005 with my Granddaughters.

Both! We've been for the Christmas holiday decorations, but not directly during the holiday week. That is until this year! We are leaving 3 weeks from tomorrow to spend nine nights through Halloween. This will be our first Food and Wine Festival. Then back to WDW for four night over Thanksgiving, and again back to the Mouse House for five nights over Christmas. We just can't get enough! Sure, it's crowded, but it's just hubby and I. We've been enough times that we don't have to fight crowds if we don't want to. Just soaking in the atmosphere is enough sometimes!!

I think it depends on what your priorities are and what you can handle. We've been once to each and loved them both. We're going again next weekend for MNSSHP, mostly because we are pretty sure to get halfway decent weather and the crowds should be manageable for a 2 yo, 5 yo and two teenagers, not to mention my father who detests crowds, (but not as much as he loves his grandaughters) so we try to pick times that will be low attendance for him as well. Last time we went for the Christmas party there was a group of folks waiting at the bus stop talking about how the year before they had been freezing their tails off wearing coats all around Disney, and starting on Fridays the crowds were pretty sizeable.

The atmosphere around both is fabulous, trick or treating, characters in costume, and "snow" falling non stop along main street. I know I'll never be able to look at it again with "new" eyes, but that first time you walk down Main Street and feel the snow fall on your face or see your kids experience it is so great.

I'm sure I've made things as clear as mud for you, but they are each great parties with their own great attributes. I say what the heck, win the lotto and go to both!
