Halloween horror nights

ThistleMae, since you have done hhn before, you know the set up.

sometimes you miss out on scares due to the way we all go thru the lines in the houses.
doing UMH in advance, also gives you the advantage of knowing what you will be missing if lines in the houses are long.

most times peeps are going thru the houses conga style and you get backed up in one place in the house.
you miss out on scares ahead of you or behind you.
just hear the peeps screaming .......lol

then the line moves and inside employees are requesting everyone to move on and keep up with the line.

How are you getting your reservations so early? The link from the UO site goes to Nextable which only has dates through August. Are there more dates available if you call?
Yes, it's how I booked after I tried the website and the dates were only available thru 8/16...I called and asked for 4:30 each day I was going to HHN...got to get an early start to beat the crowds since we don't have express.

tink you can make it work

you said before you are going 4 nights to hhn.

do what you can the first night and then each next night, hit the houses, shows that you have missed.

you will be able to do all the houses easily in the 4 night time period you will be going.

Hey HHN peoples!

One quick question to add to this thread. Why are the ticket sales on a seporate website from Universal Orlando's?

Does a separate company look after this or something? I'm on there now about to buy two Rush of Fear passes (hopefully they'll post to the UK). Just something I thought was strange and interested to know peoples opinions...

That was easy (why's it always so easy for Disney and Universal to take my money from me :p ) It seems delivery wasn't the only option, I've chosen to pick it up at the ticket kiosk.

it doesn't take away the surprise element for me.
and once you do the houses at night, you won't be remembering all the boo holes once you are going thru them........lol
you probably will have an idea of the escape areas are for the scare actors, but the scares come out sometimes after you have passed them.
the SA has to go back to their holding place, get reset up before they are ready to jump out of their place to scare more victims.

the year Home for the Holidays house was done, the UMH tour really helped.
all the details were visible, even the minor details were amazing.
peeps would miss all of that doing the tour at night.

i take pics during the day tours and love it.
for me, it adds to the excitement and appreciation of the houses by seeing and hearing background info from the tour guide.

i try to hit 6 mights of hhn and include a private tour each year.
each time i do the houses at night, it can be a different experience
i try to time it and hit Team A and Team B on the house sets.
always get a new experience each time i go through a house.

loved doing the house tour one year when the CSW group was acknowledge!
couldn't have seen the details for that unless i did the UMH tour that year.
Wow! Very helpful info for my future visit. The more info I have the more excited I get. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah....I know exactly what your talking about. I try to hang back and not look ahead, so I don't miss out. One year, I couldn't avoid it, got caught up in that conga line...it was a disappointment. But....I didn't know about the tours or the UMH...so a layer of fun has been added to my experience. (yeah...the screaming only thing...has happened...lol). I'm retired now, so I can go every year from now on. This year I had other things planned....so next year going forward, here I come! Nothing....nothing beats it! I have heard some folks in line talk about another event...Scream Fest or Scare Fest....can't remember. They said the special effects were certainly not comparable but the scares were good. You know what I'm talking about?

Are there any discounts for HHN tickets for non-pass holders and non-residents? I have access to Tickets at Work website but they don't have any listed. What about military discounts?

the tickets are listed on the website.
the links for floridian residents and AP holders link is on that same ticket page.

don't know of any discounted hhn tickets unless you do the add on tickets.
this is when you have the day park ticket and plan to go to hhn that night.

in past years, the only other discounted hhn tickets i am aware of were thru the coke products.
it was a promotion between UO and coke.
