Halloween Fun

I am a loyal WDW fan. We are doing something totally unexpected and planning a DL trip in only a few weeks. We have not been to DL in 5 years and I am so excited about DLCA and DTD! Since we will be there in October, can anyone tell me about any Halloween activities/parties that they have around the parks?

They don't have anything as elaborate as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween! We were in DL last year on October 24-28 and on that Saturday they did have trick or treating on DTD. It was a mob scene. I think a lot of locals brought their kids. Also, the Haunted Mansion will have their holiday theme going in October. Other than that I can't remember anything else Halloween oriented.

HMH is about it for Halloween. It seems to work like this: Knott's Berry Farm (nearby theme park) goes all out for Halloween, while Disneyland goes all out for Christmas.

Like A&D said, they did try out this Trick or Treat at DTD last year and I guess it was more popular than they were expecting. I guess people react to something that's Disney AND free.
