Thanks for the info on the bottles. We are not heavy drinkers, although I will admit that if there is a bottle of Bailey's around, just give me a straw and leave me alone! :teeth: Unfortunately, I can't find a small bottle of Grouse for DH. If they served it on the boat I wouldn't worry about bringing it. Most bars don't carry that brand.

Any who, I'm already starting to pack... getting things organized... setting aside cash for parking, tips, etc. For the most part, driving my co-workers and club members crazy. I give the daily countdown to those who ask... and sometimes to those who don't! :cloud9: Sometimes I get the impression that some people are ready to send me NOW! Of course I wouldn't put up much of a fight!

This month couldn't go fast enough. Of course the good thing is I got tickets to see The Lion King in two weeks... The bad thing is I have traffic court the day before that :rolleyes1 :moped: ::cop: Wish me luck!!!

No begging needed.....just hang out by my room. I usually do not leave the room without a red solo cup. I bring a carry on with just Crown Royal, Coke Zero, plastic spoons, red solo cups and the wifes Kool Aid wine (Arbor Mist). Find me in the terminal....all we need is some ice :teeth:

Hope everyone has a good weekend!!

Dave
Oh, boy you are going to be sorry you posted that. I am sure GDAC and AWOL are going to be walking around the terminal shouting your name trying to find you. :sail:

You may also want to alert your DW that if you see two strange men hanging outside the stateroom just give them a shot of CR and they will be on their merry way.

Hi everyone! Been following along for quite some time but DW (buckifan) "encouraged" me to introduce myself. Either that or it was the discussion about adult beverages and football. Actually I commented that the Crown Royal talk was a good time to mention an unfortunate incident while I was overseas in Bosnia with the Army some time ago. So I'll share it in person. While in the alcohol free American zone a fellow soldier had a bottle of CR shipped from a friend stateside. When it arrived, the bottle was in pieces, still securely wrapped with the inner box saturated with CR and a group of very unhappy soldiers. Talk about alcohol abuse. No shipping bottles for me. But I look forward to meeting all of you on the ship. Sounds like a fun group.

I guess that would make a soldier cry. This is why I carry on the goods.

:welcome: Look forword to meeting you on the ship

Welcome Sloopy!!! After hearing that CR story, I had to go check on my bottle to make sure it is still okay. You guys have a pretty big game tomorrow with the Longhorns that I am looking forward to watching. Even though I am a Gopher fan, I will be pulling for Ohio State. :cheer2:

Hi Everyone
Glad you liked my picture's. I am getting so excited about the cruise!!!

Buckifan- Yes, I have been in our pool everyday!

I am not much of a drinker either but I love trying the drink of the day on cruises. I think I might bring some peach Scnapps,or Amaretto. :drinking1

Oh my goodness Sloopy WELCOME!!! I was wondering if we would hear from you before the cruise. We love Deanna and are excited for you both to surprise Drew and Kylie!

You guys are funny with your alcohol. I understand staying in your cabin/bar for football. I went to the cabin early on the second day of the cruise because it was the season premier of Desperate Housewives . We got DVR (Tivo from cable co.) when we got home!! Oh boy I can hear you men groaning as I sit here ...desperately....in my house :scratchin

One final note. My dad is the head of the English department at a local High School plus varsity baseball coach (and golf coach). I've grown up with sports my whole life. Tonight I asked him for an early Christmas present that I (really) liked and now I have to write a 25 word essay on why I deserve it and what makes him the most wonderful father I know. I'm serious!! Sadly, I want it bad enough to do it!

Welcome Sloppy! :welcome:

Tim is right there with all you men. If a sport is on, he is watching it! I get over ruled witth all the men in boys in the house. They are always watching sports in HD on the big screen. And there I am having to watch my shows upstairs on the little tv. I think I will be joining Jen and bein the cabin watching Desperate Housewives and Grey's anatomy!

Well,
Tim and I are not very big drinkers. I will try a drink or two while on vacation. I really son't have a favorite. If only I could find a good orange drink. :drinking1

Tomorrow we are going to Six Flags. Jacob was upset tonight telling me he did not want to see Bugs Bunny. He wants to see Mickey and ride on the "Mickey rides". Ofcourse, right now he is obsessed with Mickey. He has to wear a Mickey shirt, Mickey underware, Mickey socks, and even Mickey shoes. Our local Disney store knows us by name! I am hoping he is out if this phase soon, or I will be looking for a Mickey winter jacket. :mickeyjum

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Heather- I hope you all have a great time at Six Flags.

Rick and I are going to Brookgreen Gardens tomorrow and then to the beach for a few hours. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

That's too funny about the essay.....What are you asking for?

Heather- Hope you have a great day at Six Flags!

Heather- Have fun! Funny, Orange anything is my favorite too. There is orange flavored vodka. Do you have Orange Julius in MD? Yummy!

Started reading The Memory Keeper's Daughter. Anyone read it or something else you enjoyed that I should pick up? Need a good cruise book!

Deanna.....if I tell it might not come true ;)

We used to have an Orange Julius but it closed down. :sad2: I might have to try something with the orange vodka.

WELCOME SLOOPY!!!!!!!!!

So glad to meet you and have enjoyed getting to know Deanna over the last year.......

HELP!! I have been reading anything I can on the dolphin excursion in Anguilla. It has really mixed riviews. I'm thinking about canceling the excursion (saving us over $1,000) and going to Orient beach. I've been reading posts for 3+ hours and the vast majority say the Bikini beach area is the most beautiful (and fun with a water trampoline) in St Martin. ANY and ALL advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Jen. The following came from another Dis member and my kids LOVE to boogie board

Bikini Beach, at Orient Beach

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We just did the eastern, and went to Bikini Beach, which had a water trampoline, it was 5$/hour, or 10$/day. They also had boogie boards to rent, I think 5 or 10 dollars....

This was a great beach, we just told our taxi driver when to pick us up, and we paid around 12$/person.

THe only thing...is that you will see a few naked bodies, walking the beach. Our boys (8and 11) thought it was funny at first....but after a few , didn't even notice them anymore.

Personally, I really didn't mind it....I figure I would rather they know what real breasts look like! (since most who go topless, naked, really shouldn't!)

Anyway, it was a great beach, and had bathrooms and a shower. I think it was around 15$/ for two lounge chairs and an umbrella. One word of caution....we FRIED our children that day...the sun is soooo much stronger in the southern carib, than florida. The sunscreen that woked fine in FL, didn't work too well.. I wish we had applied it more often.....

Have fun!

After the research I think I'd be better off going to Discovery Cove in Orlando. I've heard great things about that!

My friends sister worked there for a while and they have been there several times and Janice would not recommend it nor her sister and she was a manager there.............

Hi everyone!

I am now getting settled in the new job in Missouri. I just got the computer on Friday and have found that I cannot post anything! I am home for the weekend and have enjoyed spending time with Kim and the kids.

I will be getting an order in for the shirts before flying out in the afternoon. I hope to catch up on the rest of the postings when I have some time in my apartment.

Kim and the kids are still holding down the fort here in Tennessee. We are hoping that the house sells soon.

Fingers crossed on a quick house sale for you Chris! Enjoy the rest of your visit!

Welcome to the craziness Sloopy!! Not that you didn't already have a pretty good idea :confused3

So, I have Samantha's pirate girl costume that she wore last year. She's outgrown it and if anyone wants a size 4-6 pirate costume for a girl, let me know & you can have it! Everything in this pic except the sword and cute little girl (not Samantha) is included. She's wearing it in the vacation photos of the Halloween Cruise website (minus the boot covers - she didn't like those)
