Akghutton and Buck,
Thanks so much...It was fun to go into the store and tell them that I was buying fifty buckets and shovels the cashier asked me if I was having a large party???? When I told her what they were for she called over another cashier and told her they asked if they could come tooooo....LOL!!!!!! We really thought the kids would enjoy them and I shipped them down to Heather and then she is going to write the names on them and then we will ship them to the boat.....So no need to worry what the kids will collect candy in...SO IF YOU HAVE NOT YET SIGNED UP PLEASE DO SO BY SEPT 15TH SO WE CAN ENSURE ALL KIDS GET THEIR SPECIAL GIFTS!!!!!!!!!!ALSO GET THE T-SHIRT ORDERS IN AS WELL!!!!! Heather - I have a T-shirt question for you! Does JuliaandNicksMom actually print the images onto a shirt or is she using home iron ons? If she's using an iron on, I wouldn't mind doing our own shirts here. You could send me the image & I can print & iron myslef. That would take a little of the hassle away from you.

Thanks for handling all this!!

Teena

Kate is using a iron on transfer. She orders the transfers from a printing company in large quantities. She says that they are a much better quality than the transfers you can get a craft store or Walmart. She has used a lot of these transfers, and says that they last a lot longer than others you would by at the craft store. In effort to keep everyone's shirts the same quality, size, and dimensions we are ordering from Kate, I originally thought it would be easier for some to print their own shirts, but then we end up with everyone's shirts looking different.

Remember to have orders in to me by Sept. 15!

Well, I have been busy working on the buckets!!! I think the kids will love them. Jacob keeps asking if he can take them out to his sand box. I finally had to tell him they are for "Mickey's boat". He now shows them to all the daycare kids and tells them we are taking the buckets on the boat.

Terri and Scubarn,
Loved the pictures! Thanks for sharing!

Tonight was our last Ironbirds (minor league baseball) game. Hopefully, I will now have a little more free time on my hands. Ofcourse, Timmy plays fall ball, so I won't have that much free time! He will actually miss his last two games of the season while we are on the cruise. Oh, well. He would much rather be on the cruise ship.
If they wather is nice here on Sat. we are going to take the kids to Six Flags. We have free passes, so hopefully they will enjoy it. It is not Disney, but I am sure they will still have a good time! Talk to everyone soon.

Sounds good! Thanks for letting me know. We'll get our order to you as soon as we can decide what the heck we want.

Inside family joke Kritter.

There are times when our Mom jokes she is going to end up bag lady walking the streets. My usual comeback is that she'll be the only bag lady with a Coach bag slung over her shoulder as she pushes her shopping car full of junk. :confused3

Our SIL said she truly felt like a B***** Girl when she got her first Coach handbag.

Got to start um young!

Scubarn & Terri, thanks for the photos. Terri, it brings back fond memories of when DH and I spent at French Quarter. :thumbsup2

Here is a Q for the BYOB crowd. If ya bring a bottle of booze and don't finish it, will they let you take it off the ship or do you have to dump it? Will they let you bring a previously opened container (or a flask)? :confused3
If not, I welcome the Scotch drinkers to share in some 18 year old Famous Grouse! :goodvibes :teeth: pirate: :smokin: :smooth:

Armand.....I have never tried to bring an open bottle on the ship, so I can not help you on that one. I do bring a new bottle of Crown Royal on and if there is any left I always take it off with me. I have never been questioned. I am pretty sure though that you are only supposed to bring off full bottles. I just do not have it in me to pour Crown Royal down the drain the last morning.

:rotfl2: Don't finish it? Yeah, right!! You just give GDAC & I a call and you won't have to worry about having any left over! We'll be easy to find. We'll be the two following Dave around begging for some Crown Royal!

Actually, I think my FIL might have brought back a little Canadian Mist back last year.

Great pictures Teri!! Looks like you had a great time!

ScubaRN - What a cutie you have there!

On the topic of alcohol.. do you gusy ship it down or just bring it on in a roll on cooler????????

scubarn- that is so cute of your dd.

Teri- wow! you are tan, girl! Bet you spent many hours in your pool this summer, huh? I really enjoyed your pictures. You and Rick are such a cute couple. Looks like you guys have a blast together wherever you go.

Okay, so sounds like you guys are serious about your booze. I must admit, I don't drink very often. I'm usually the designated driver. And I don't think the Captain of the Magic is going to need me to steer the ship, so I do believe I will partake. I'm thinking of bringing Kaluha or Bailey's to mix. Dh will probably want to pack some Raspberry Vodka to mix with lemonade.

Kristin- I was going to bring our booze on board in the carryon. I was worried it would get broken otherwise.

I can't help with taking an open bottle off of the ship, but I did bring an open bottle of Crown Royal on the boat last year. There was only a little gone :drinking1 , so I am not sure if the security screener didn't notice that, or didn't care. I think AWOL had the best idea, bring the biggest (unopened) bottle possible, and what is left over you can donate to our drink supply :rotfl2:

YUM!!!! I might have to try that. Especially since we have a lemon tree in the backyard with way more lemons than I can use.

AWOL uses the grapefruit for salty dogs & I might have to find a good use for the lemons.

Kristin - We packed the soft sided rolling cooler in our luggage from Phoenix & we carried it on last year. We just went to a liquor store in FL when we got there & stocked up.

Well, we talk a good game, anyway! :rotfl2: In truth, on our Nov cruise, I really didn't have that much time to drink (except on Castaway Cay)! We were just too busy. Part of the problem was that I was so tired almost every night that I just crashed with the kids instead of going out!

I'm ready, except for my team doesn't kick off until Monday night. Actually the Vikings will be playing on Monday Night football when we are on the boat, so you can probably guess where I will be. :bounce:

AWOL...........I am usually one of the last ones standing (if it's a good time) but I also was SO TIRED that by 10:00 pm we were sleeping. I am seriously going to try and stay up for a movie and the dessert buffet! Craig went for me (kids were sleeping) last year and well let's just say the next moring there was a "disagreement" between the children about a chocolate cinderella slipper. I hope some lucky fish at Castaway Cay enjoyed the treat that Craig crumbled up and through overboard!!!!! We don't litter, ever, but this did go off our balcony with the looks of 2 shocked children understanding they needed to get a grip (this was the last day of the cruise and my kids are normally very well behaved)!!! Truly priceless.

We'll be the two following Dave around begging for some Crown Royal!

No begging needed.....just hang out by my room. I usually do not leave the room without a red solo cup. I bring a carry on with just Crown Royal, Coke Zero, plastic spoons, red solo cups and the wifes Kool Aid wine (Arbor Mist). Find me in the terminal....all we need is some ice :teeth:

Hope everyone has a good weekend!!

Dave

Very funny....I would bet that you will not have the same disagreement this cruise!
