Did anyone get a cabin number for Jedi73? I think that's the last one missing.

Trying to do a month's worth of stuff in a week. I knew I should have just given in to my cruise OCD! Fighting it just caused me to have to rush around now.

We tie dyed Mickey head shirts last weekend. The kids love them!

Our "Wish Party" is Tuesday night. I'm sure the kids (and I ) will be bouncing off the ceiling after that.

Does anyone know if you can buy alcohol in Key West on Sunday? I'm hoping to not pack anything since we're flying. I'd like to pick up a bottle of Rum in KW.

Well, my thought on buying is..isnt the "rule" not until after 12noon on a sunday, I dont think that should be a problem as the bars are open there on Sunday's....but I am not the "in the know" person, I'm sure someone else can answer that.

DH and I talked about taking the train - I would love to but from here I think not only is it a pretty pricy mode of transportation, it would take time that I would rather spend at the parks or on a ship...

The pricing wasn't too bad, but I included both airfare and a rental car into the flying option price and used $4.50/gal gas in the driving option. The other thing to remember is the AutoTrain just goes between Lorton, VA and Sanford, FL, with only a brief crew-change stop in SC on the way, in 17 hours. Lorton is only about an hour from here, Sanford is only about an hour from both WDW and the port, and to drive would take us 15 hours, so the extra few hours of elapsed time seems worth it for not having to be alert and driving.

We could probably have saved some $ by flying cheap and using Disney transportation, but we really like having our own car on-property.

That being said, I'll reserve final judgement until we're in Sanford, back in our car.

I'm done with work for the next 16 days! With the newly allowed OT, I ended-up working at least a few hours every day for the last 21 days, so I am really, really ready for this vacation.

I've got some errands to run this afternoon, a haircut and a surprise birthday party tomorrow and we'll be at the train station by this time Sunday.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of my parent's car crash last year. My brother really wants me to call Dad on the day - I will, of course, but I'm dreading it.

I'll have internet access at least through my iPhone through boarding the ship, so I'll be checking DIS when I can.

Still looking for jedi73's stateroom number, but we've included them in our FE and PE stuff, so it's not that critical.

I have two more work days before I have 13 days off from work. I am so ready for this vacation!

As for the FE gifts... I still have a bunch to do so I am super worried that I will not be able to finish them and have to resort to buying a few different gifts. :-(

I still haven't decided what we are going to do in Key West. I was really thinking about renting a four-seater electric car in Key West but then remembered that Fantasy Fest is occuring that weekend and I bet there will be lots of people there and so there will be little or no parking. I did cancel the trolley tour with Disney since I later learned that they don't allow you to get off the trolley.

Can you guys tell me what you have planned for Key West? I know this is sort of last minute.

Thanks!

My super-planned out Key West day involves walking around and eating pie. Seriously tho... that morning is the DVC meet and then we have the champagne brunch (both of these places my husband gets my drinks)... so we don't plan to do TOO much after that ;)

Seriously tho - we will wander down Duval street (and eat pie) and check out the art galleries (and eat pie) and maybe stop in a bar or 2. Last year we walked down to the southernmost point... which is a bit of a hike and it was hot. Fantasy fest will be mostly over by then but ya might still see some fun stuff.

Just checking in. I see a few are already preparing to leave. Everyone be safe. We leave Wed morning. We decided to do the MNSSHP. The last time we were there for it, it rained so maybe we will get lucky and have good weather.
I finished the FE gifts today. I hope everyone likes it. Getting my hair done tomorrow. Busy... busy! I tried to find David a dress shirt to match a certain eggplant or plum colored dress I bought. No such luck. Its an odd purple, and I love it, but we would clash in pics. Oh well.
Everyone have a good weekend!
Tammy

Wally and I are doing the trolley thru Disney....Then I want to do some shopping and maybe have a nice cool drink at one of the bars:thumbsup2

We have nothing really planned for Key West. We intend to shop around and check out the area on our own.

It was a long day at work and tomorrow promises to be another so I have to get some sleep. Have a good night all!

We plan on getting on either the Conch Train (Stevie loves trains) or the Trolley. I would prefer the trolley, I want to be able to get off and on when I want. I want a picture of us in front of the Southernmost Point Bouy. We may do something else afterwards, just not sure what.

In Grand Cayman, we are scheduled for the Pirate Adventure. Hopefully it will be as fun as the ones I have watched on You Tube.

We have nothing planned for Cozumel at all. Just walk around the market place.

Castaway Cay, Pelican Plunge and snorkelling are a must. The Monstro Whale Dig is high on the list too. Plopping my but down in a beach chair is high on my personal list.

We are so excited that we are only six days away from flying down. It is getting harder everyday to hide our trip from Stevie. He is starting to ask questions. Why are the suitcases out daddy? Why haven't we put up Halloween decorations? I want to be Mario, I don't want a pirate costume.

I think we will schedule the Mickey Mouse phone call for Friday morning, right before we head to the airport.

Made it to Ohio with no problems. Stopped to see my parents as we went by Elyria - Dad looks so much better. He is getting stronger each day and will probably be heading home in the new two weeks or so. Amazes me considering I was told he only had about a week to live back in July.

I have not packed anything yet but it is all laying on the bed ready to hit the suitcase so I don't imagine it will take me very long. And, since that last minute stuff is all in the cosmetic bags and rounded up, I am ahead of the game there. We will leave the house around 7:30 Tuesday morning, I have a repolish scheduled for 7:45 and then we are off to the airport. Bring it on!!

Have a good weekend everyone - a week from today it will be our turn!

If you do the Conch Train in Key West, they said you can get off. They stop 2 or 3 times. At least that is what they told us. My son loves trains so we are thinking that would be fun.

Nothing planned in any other port. We wont get off in Cozumel, no need for us. Been there. Maybe in GC since we have never been. Just wanna see a beach. Thought of doing Boatswain's but it seems that you only get 2-3 hrs there and its a lot of money for that.

Thanks guys.

I think we are going to go with the trolley. I think it's a easy thing to do and being able to get on an off is good. We have been there before a few times but it's been more than 10 years now so doing a tour like that would be nice.

So anxious. Gonna fully pack on,monday. Clean house tuesday and head out wednesday. I've been tracking weather at cozumel keys bahamas canaveral. Just cross fingers for no rain at castaway!

Evening all:

So I watched the Magic leave today.....yippie that will be us next week.
I have been so busy today...went shopping and picked up a few last minute items, then grocery shopping,
I collected everything I had in the one bedroom and moved it down into the family room,,,,now this room is a MESS....trying to finish ironing and organizing every thing...tomorrow I am going to start packing....made a batch of taco soup for dinner then I just finished cleaning my bathroom and threw a load of towels in the washer...

Let me just say I am tired and in need of this trip ......

Tomorrow another busy day....

It was so fun watching the Magic on the webcam today, knowing that the next time she sails from that port, WE will be aboard! :cool1:

Last minute panicking, I mean, packing going on here. ;) I'm not sure if I'll get any sleep tonight ("I'm too excited to sleep!"). Flight leaves at 9am tomorrow morning!

Andersons, signing off! See ya on the ship!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Less than a week! And, we leave in less than 48 hours and I am not packed :scared1::scared1:! But, tonight and tomorrow night will see that all wrapped up I am sure.

The wedding was beautiful - bride was stunning, groom handsome and they will live happily ever after. A great time was had by all. But, now for the ride home. We are going to stop and see David's mom and then head out.

Take care everyone, have a good day, don't overdo anything. Save travels to those heading out today and tomorrow.

Amanda and I spent yesterday getting our hair cut then trying to find sandals that I can wear my leg brace with. No success! I hate wearing tennis shoes esp. on vacation. So there will be more shopping today.
