Hakuna Matata Team Challenge Hours/Miles

Happy Friday everyone!! Lots of impressive numbers :goodvibes This is great motivation for me not to fall behind in my training. I've got another 22 minutes/1.55 miles on my elliptical trainer and 30 minutes weights to report.

As your Captain, I have a favor to ask. Would you please send me a PM with your miles and hours. Trying to follow everything and find the miles and hours is really difficult. Feel free to PM everyday if you like, but it will make it soooooooooooooooo much easier to get it right. And I really want to get it right!

I will post the numbers today, please, please check to see if I got your right. I don't want to cheat anyone out of miles or hours!!

I get the thumbprint but the actual picure is not going in. :confused:

I'll try to help here.

on the http address in your current signature right click, go to properties, then highlight and copy the address of the image. Now open the user cp and go to edit signature. from there i believe it add image you will click on. then paste the image address into teh filed , preview and save.
 
This is how I have it down in my signature:

Just make sure you delete the extra space from the first [ IMG] tag. So it should look like and not [ IMG]

i owe some hours/miles! i've been working out and walking but need to report in. i have some from last week but wanted to see how the weeks are run. Are we doing Sunday to Saturday? Monday to Sunday? I ask becauseI wasn't sure where to put last Sunday's miles/hour LOL

So a quick recap....
2/1 1/2 hour shoveling. 1/2 hour exercise at the gym
2/2 4 miles / 1 hour. (i actually did very well, I did 4 miles in 56 min but had to walk back to collect DH who was still on the trail LOL which gave me the 1 hr)

2/3 (Sunday) 3.6 miles / 1 hour. walked the dogs.
2/5 (Tuesday) 1/2 hour exercise (circuit training/warm up/cool down)
2/7 (Thursday) 1/2 hour on TM which also gave me 2 miles
2/8 (Friday) 1 hour total between doing the circuit but also managed 1 mile on the TM which I'm not sure on how my pace was for that 1 mile but I'd group it in the 1 hour because it was suppose to be a slow down


So should I include 2/3 in week 1 or week 2?

Planning on a couple of miles on Saturday :thumbsup2
 
Diane, Margie, isn't that snow shoveling tough? When I was stationed in Plattsburgh New York it would snow with a vengence. I was never so worn out as I was after shoveling out from a storm.

How did everyone like the first week, do you think it has helped you being part of a team?

Did it help being part of a team, you bet. I did ok this week and will try to keep that amount 13 miles, but would like to increase to 20 per week by summer, that TM is just a pain but it keeps me in shape.

Today I will register for the 1/2 with Miranda. Yup, we're going to do it again. We're very excited. Just the 2 of us, so far no one else wants to hop on board but WE DO!

Plan on using points for our stay at the BWV.

Anyone else on our team going to Marathon Weekend?

Weeks are running from Friday to THURSDAY I don't know why I originally put Monday. Blame it on our own dear Organized Panda.

As for me. I didn't have a stellar week. I was kind of caught up in life, with taxes and doctor's appointments, etc. and my stepper broke, and....Okay enough excuses. I am training for a race and I won't have any excuses next week. I will say this: Having the challenge has made me feel more guilty than usual when I didn't manage a workout! :guilty:

Thank you everyone for your PM's! It was so much easier! I can't begin to tell you! :cloud9:
 
I'm definitely finding it helpful. When I was at 45 minutes and rather prefer to call it a day I got on the TM. I can see where that will eventually lead to more time and possibly a full 1/2 hr on the TM in the future giving me 2 miles.

Funny thing I was trying to get to 2 miles in a 1/2 hr (i had warmed up on it for 5 minutes plus took a walking break after mile 1). I was pushing so hard I had the TM at 11:30 min/mile at the end dying! I'm running and all but yelling at the machine to count faster (that 0.05 was taking forever!) then I hit the 2 mile and then yelling at the machine to slow down faster ending up jumping on the running boards LMBO The lady 2 TMs over asks 'are you ok' i've finally got the TM on pause, leaning on the bar head almost on it laughing at myself (more internally as i was still trying to breathe!) looked over and said 'yup, thanks. i was just trying to beat the clock/miles' LOL the whole time i'm running i'm internally yelling at my heart 'don't fail me now! legs you are marathoning legs pick it up!' :lmao: I'm turning into a full fledged loon everytime i get on the TM and come up on beating the clock or miles LOL

Dave the snow this past Wednesday was horrible! It had slush under so I never did get to the driveway proper. Plus left DH the sidewalk. 20 minutes and I was done! Course I did weights the day before so my body wasn't happy with me :eek:

Congrats team! I just checked out the spreadsheet and ya'll did awesome. I'm finally back in the land of the living, and will try to get in some min/miles on Monday. Hey, does marathon coughing count as xt? My abs are so sore right now from all the hacking! Keep up the great work!:cheer2:

50 minutes workout on 2/8 with 6.75 miles on bike

2/9 35 min on bike and 7.7 miles covered on it

I stole this really cool running lion from Steffwalks. You just right click on it and click properties, then highlight the address with left click, then right click again and hit copy. Then edit your siggy and do it like you did the other stuff. Thanks Connie for the cool lion.

Scott, glad you are getting off the couch and getting the steps in. Me to. I need to do some stretching right now myself even though it's a rest day.

Yep it is like mornings when I don't run and driving in I see someone running, I feel guilty. This will definately get me back into the weight training.
