Hakuna Matata Team Challenge Hours/Miles

Scott, as far as I am concerned you can count the hours of dry wall hanging. It is stressful and gets the heart rate up, it is definitely weight resisant, and a form of stretching. It is above and beyond!

I am really glad everyone likes the running Simba! LOL I thought he was a nice touch!

Here is a hidden Mickey we put in while doing the texture today.

Actually did a couple of miles on the TM earlier today. The wind was nasty today, constant 30+ MPH all day. I hope it lays down tomorrow.

Good Morning All.

I hope the wind lays down so we can get outside for a nice run today.

Way to go team, keep up the good fight.

Scott I love the hidden Mickey you and Lynn did.

I just did 2 miles at the mall this morning while waiting for Erica to get of so we could go to breakfast. We go to Bob Evans every sunday morning for breakfast and this morning it took so long for them to get our order right they didn't charge us. I get a veggie omlet without cheese, the cook couldn't comprehend that.

Total time was only 15 minutes. I'll be better soon.

I'm kinda down today, tired of my darn achillies hurting and tired of the days being pretty while I'm working and then cold and gray when I'm off. I'll get over it, life is good, it really is.

How did everyone like the first week, do you think it has helped you being part of a team? Hakuna Matata Panda:hippie:

Yes, being on the Hakuna Matata team and being held accountable to contribute mileage and time entry towards our team goal certainly helps motivate me, especially on days like today that I procrastaned, and still needs to get out the door to log some mileage.

We spent the day yesterday at the Florida State Fair watching and cheering for my daughter's Jr. Elite Cheerleader girls (ages 5 and 6) compete in the state championship. We placed second out of four teams in our age group; the girls were ecstatic , as were the coaches and parents :lovestruc! With that said though, I have no miles to log for yesterday. I will however, get my rear in gear and get out the door soon today :thumbsup2!

Hello, everyone!

I am finding it very helpful to be part of a team competition. I think that's what has finally gotten me motivated to do the yoga thing. I've thought about doing it for a while now, but just didn't do it. But I feel like I need to add the hours for the team, so.....I'm off and ...... yoga-ing! :rotfl:

Dave, I know what you mean about the weather. I think this has been a hard winter for most of our team. Seems like if it's not snowing, it's blowing. Given a choice, I pick the snow! Of course, the worst is snow AND wind. We've sure had our fair share of that this year, too. It's not as much fun walking when you're stuck in the gym....or the mall.....or inside at all! But, hang in there, your tendon will feel better and it will be spring before too long!

We're past the first week! Sounds like those of you who have been sick are on the mend! Yippee!! I hope you'll feel better yet in the days to come!

GO TEAM!!!

Dave it is Cabin Fever Season for sure, but the days they do get longer and soon there will be those great spring days. The body will mend, time my friend time, you will come back stronger.

We got out while the wind was 9MPH and finished with it in the 20's adn clouds rolling in, I did a run and then dried off and went out to meet Lynn and the pups fr the last part. She is getting faster for sure.

Remember each step gets us closer to our goal. Just remember to enjoy the Journey

Sorry to hear our :hippie:'s progress and healing is going so slow.

This winter weather is getting to be a bit too much even for me
They forecast a high of 4 degrees (we haven't reach that yet) winds gusting to 40 mph...white out conditions with wind chill of -19. The trip to church gave my muscles a good workout. :scared:

Is anyone else having a problem viewing the spreadsheet?
Maybe it is my computer...it just does not want to change to the next sheet.

I am experiencing difficulty loading the spreadsheet as well. I was thinking that maybe we (multiple team-members from the various teams) were trying to view the spreadsheet at the same time. You know how the competitive beasts behave :rotfl:

The spreadsheet is very slow and I do think everyone viewing it, makes it slower.

I was busy today. I don't think anything reallys counts, though...so far. I drug tree trunks off a trailer using an ATV! We are remodeling. Yea!:cheer2: We started with somewhat dead trees in the yard!

I love the hidden Mickey!

Cabin fever requires drastic steps! Get out, do something! Grab some sunshine anyway you can, take a day off.

well I did 3.5 miles tonight. I wait till the end of the day so that I'm not sleepy all day long. My TM keeps giving out so I have to use my brain an add my laps/miles/min. What a pain. I have a surge protector and I think that may be the problem, it's not tight enough. Tomorrow I'll plug it directly into the outlet and see how it goes.

At least I have miles for the team.

take care.

denise

In less than a month, I did my second half-marathon today :lovestruc I did 13.1 miles today in the Mercedes half-marathon in my hometown :dance3: I wasn't fast but that adds more hours to our team:rotfl: It took me 3 hours and 4 minutes!!

The cool part is that I shaved 15 minutes off my Donald time today and I feel pretty darn good too! It is giving me the confidence to entertain the idea of doing the full in Disney next January...:scared1:

Lisa that is awesome.:yay:

I said there was more to our princesses than even they realized. There is magic in all of us, we just have to believe and accept it. Our inner power is like faith, don't question it just draw strength from it.

I'll sure be glad when I can start doing my fair share to kick the other teams collective butts.

GO TEAM!!!!

Keep that attitude and you will accomplish amazing things. Sometimes the hardest thing is over coming the limits we put on ourselves. Once we say "No Limits" and mean it we can really start to improve. Sounds like you are ready to fly.

Happy Panda:hippie:

Good morning, Hakuna Matata!

I just joined two running/walking clubs so I can do LOTS of local races, even signed up for one, already. Got a couple more I plan to do as well before the OKC half! Yay, me!

I will be XT-ing today. Gonna do a complete circuit of weight resistance and some Pilates. Maybe on my rest day, I can ride the bike a bit. When my hip was locked down, biking was sooooooooooo painful, hopefully things will be better, now.

With the remodel going on, we have decided to get a treadmill. Sure will make things easier for me. There's no gym available, for 50 miles.

WithDisneySpirit Way to go!! You are Awesome!

Donna Love those miles!! Sounds like you had a great weekend!

Kathy Keep those hours rolling, even if it is because you are standing on your head!!! :rotfl:

Painful Achilles Panda Please do all your stretching, and icing, and taking care of yourself. Get strong!

Everybody else, Happy week! GOTEAM!

Lisa WAY TO GO!!!!!

Everyone else is also doing great, I need to do weights later today and if the wind dies down some more tiem outside. Snow is in the forcast.

:tiptoe:
To all the Hakuna Matata members (or was that Hunky Tostada??) and especially WithDisneySpirit. I have been giving inspirational quotes to my team and I have one for all of you:

"Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much out run your opponents as outlast and out smart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head." -Joe Henderson

Have a great day and continue your great work!! :tiptoe:
