Still Day 6, Feb 18

More lunch at the Yakitori House

After visiting the large shop in Japan we decided to go check if there was seating availability at the Yakitori House. There was, so we went to pick up some more lunch to share!

And finally this is what we got ...........

Spicy Tuna Roll - tuna mixed with chili pepper, soy sauce, sesame oil and reverse rolled in sushi rice and seaweed, and a bottle of water.

The sushi was really fresh and tasty for something that comes in a plastic container! We both really liked it a lot!

Once we had finished we strolled around the Japanese garden, watched the Koi and finally stopped and watched the "candy lady" artistically making some great animals for the waiting kids.

My mouth is watering! I love spicy tuna rolls. I don't know if it's how the color came out in your photo or if it's real...but the tuna looks quite dark like it was heavy on the chili powder. Was it really spicy?

The things we do for our fellow DISers! We love trying new things, so sharing is a good compromise - we get to try WAY more!

It did not look as dark as the photo came out! They were spicy, but "nice spicy" not like "blow your head off" spicy!

I have just done the restaurants based on what park we will be at for that evening (EMH). I am going to do a more detailed plan soon, but we have actually been making plans for our 2011 summer vacation! this weekend.

And another lunch at Tangerine Cafe

After spending some more time in Japan and watching the candy lady we walked over to Morocco to have one more shared lunch at the Tangerine Cafe.
We had eaten there before and really enjoyed it, so we were looking forward to try something new.
We were not sure what to get, so we started checking the menu.

And this is what we agreed on .........

Mediteranean Sliders Combo - three pita pockets - lamb, chicken and falafel with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumber and Tahini sauce served with Lentils, Hummus and Tabouleh.
To be honest this was one of the worst meals we had have ever had at WDW! The pita bread was dry and the sauce they sprinkled inside that NOT help it at all. The meat was icy cold and had absolutely NO taste at all. The falafel was hard and dry and tasted like it was days old and the nasty greens tasted like they had been kept in a plastic bag for ages. The lentils were okay, but bland and so was the Hummus.
We had a bite or two of each one and that was it - I was glad I had gotten a bottle of water to wash it down with.

We binned most of it and left. We still had to cancel our Grand Floridian Tea, so the closest Guest Relations was at the International Gateway and this is where we went and cancelled, before we headed back to Epcot.

Us too We are planning on actually doing another back to back cruise - this time on the Dream and planning for the 4 night cruise starting August 21 and the 3 night cruise starting August 25. Maybe we will see you there!

Liquid Gold from Canada

Once we had reentered Epcot we thought about trying to fit in a ride or two and pick up a few items from Mousegear.
We crossed through England and Off Kilter was playing and we were surprised not to see Jamie (Mary Ellen's favourite! ), but nevertheless we stopped and watched and listened for a while. When we went on I remembered that Tom had really enjoyed a little Canadian treat during our last vacation. So we approached this stand .......

and Tom got ...........

liquid gold, Draft Moosehead Pale Ale!

We sat on one of the benches along the lake while Tom enjoyed his drink and people watched and talked about how nice this vacation had been so far.

Once he had finished his drink we walked over to Future World and since the line for Mission Space was not that long we got in line and rode Mission Space and did some Mousegear shopping. We then went over to the tip board and discovered this .......

There were several Flower and Garden displays already up and this was the largest of them all. It was beautiful.

Next stop was Spaceship Earth.

And after we got off the ride there was only one more thing we wanted to try.

I had heard so many good things about Tangerine Cafe that I almost tried it on this last trip. I'm glad I never found the time! That sounds horrible!

But Tom's got the right idea. Wash it down with a Moosehead!

You are SO going to love CSR! It's wonderful! We LOVED it there!
As for CP - our ADR was for 8.05 and we checked in at 8am sharp. It took about 10 minutes until we actually sat at a table. And we did not leave until 9am - I guess this is a European thing, we take our sweet time eating!
When we left we took a few photos of the castle from outside CP and walked right over to Adventureland which had just opened.

We will be in Florida for nine days, but be in WDW for 5. We will be visiting with family on this trip too. It will be nice to visit with them and get out to the beaches.

I have a new travel journal that should help me with my reviews on my trip. I will have to remember to take a pic of the meal before I dig in though.

We are very excited about the 8:05 reservation for CP. We got it about a month ago. Someone must of just cancelled- we are very lucky!! Can't wait to take some pics of an empty or near empty MK.

I don't think you can base whether you go to a restaurant on one person's review of one item on the menu. Like you said, there are many, many people on here that love this place. I've been there twice and I'd use a TS credit for it. I'd still try it!

You know what's funny? I was looking at your pictures of the menu and thought the sliders seemed like a good choice. Guess NOT. I hate to throw food away but there is NO way I would eat that "food".

I want to comment about your sushi as well. I don't enjoy seafood but I saw someone's DR and they visited the F&W Festival and one of the stands had crispy beef rolls, those looked delicious! They don't have them in Yakitori house do they??
