Karin - I am checking in here for the first time in a week and a half (as we were at Disney and I spent very little time online), so I just got caught up with your reviews. Wow! You have made me SO hungry....and I need to go to bed soon. That German choc cookie looks WONDERFUL!

I need to go find a snack....

Maybe its just as well that we are not there at the same time, can you imagine if there was one slice left. Oh the carnage :rotfl:

From the War of the Roses to the War of the Strawberry Shortcake! :lmao:

Actually, that strawberry shortcake is mine, Walt said so:lmao:

Lots of joy over on the Dibb at the mo' because one of the UK travel agents (CompleteOrlando) is offering the 40% off SS/OKW deal and free dining in Feb, May and Aug-early Nov for 2011! Apparently Disney UK will be following in the next few weeks:cool1:

Actually Walt promised it to me!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

I just checked out the new offer you were writing about - yeah! Hope that Disney UK will follow up SOON - I am already planning for 2011! :lmao:

Oh dear, another contender for the strawberry shortcake, I can see I have my work cut out for me :rotfl:

Maybe Walt meant for all of us to share a whole baking sheet full of that delicious treat? :confused3

How was your trip, Dave? Have you started a trip report yet? I'd love to read ALL about your adventures!

Now, did you find the snack you desired, ;) :lmao:? Didn't you bring any from Goofy's? :rotfl:

We had a great trip! Perfect weather, good food, and I met some fellow DISers. I hope to start my report in the next day or two, and will put a link in my signature when I do.

As far as whether I found any nice German sweets....I can't give away all my secrets just yet! :lmao:

Mmmm, those crab claws look so yummy. Fulton's is definitely at the top of our to-try list!

Karin, Fulton's looks great! But I am so interested in how you got turndown service at CSR! So jealous.

Dave, your trip report is real fun to read! Now, if I only found out about Ms. White ........... :lmao:

As for your "German sweets" - are you sure they are "German" :rotfl: These German (pavillion people ;)) are sneaky and sell Swiss, Italian and Austrian goodies too! :rotfl2: Hope you picked something Austrian as this is THE BEST!!! ;) :lmao: :rotfl:

Mmmm, those crab claws look so yummy. Fulton's is definitely at the top of our to-try list!

You have to try it! We were just stunned at HOW good the food was!

Anxiously awaiting an update.

Mark and I confirmed our dates in Marco Island where we will spend lots of time (we hope) with Nicki and Todd). I don't think we are doing Disney at all unless we get a tax refund and do four days. But that's a very big IF. But, me being the planner I am, made ADR's just in case. This is what I made:

I made Crystal Palace for an 8:05 a.m. breakfast and Plaza lunch on what would be our last day. I also made Yak & Yeti for lunch one day as Mark and I really enjoyed this when we ate there in 2008 and we made Boma because we fell in love with this breakfast last September. I asked Mark to pick one restaurant at Epcot and NOT LeCellier--I said we needed a break from there. He picked Coral Reef; we've not been there in over 10 or 12 years and he wants to see the "fishies".

Actually Tina I have NO idea how we got turndown service! :confused3 They had done it the first day and we just assumed that it was standard at CSR - we really wondered about it quite a bit!
But it was a nice touch of magic in the long run! :goodvibes

Oh, another Strawberry Shortcake Warrior! :rotfl:

I never noticed the Cobb Salad on the menu! But then, I was really "programmed" on the Crab Claws by KatMark, so I did not pay enough attention! :rotfl2:

Fulton's looks great! Shame I'm a vegetarian. :rotfl:

It must be a great restaurant, if it looks that good to a vegetarian! ;) :lmao: Honestly I cannot remember if they had any vegetarian options on the menu, I need to pay more attention next time! :goodvibes

If you love crab then Fulton is the place to go to! Guess I'll starve myself next time to fit in a full order of the crab claws myslef! ;) :rotfl:

WHEN are you going to Marco Island? I SO hope that you GET that tax refund and that you will be able to go "home" to CSR for some days! pixiedust:

Your ADRs look wonderful! CP :thumbsup2 Plaza :cloud9: Yak and Yeti  Boma :thumbsup2 and we really enjoyed Coral Reef the last time we went in 2008!

What about Fulton's? I don't see it on your list! :scared1: :lmao:

Day 6, February 18

Hot Drinks at the Coffee Stand in the UK

We started our day with a breakfast in the room. Tom used double the amount of coffee for the coffeemaker, but it did not make the coffee much more enjoyable. He had some bread, cream cheese and ham out of the fridge for breakfast, while I ate a piece of my chocolate peanut butter cake.

Surprisingly we nearly made it for rope drop to DHS and got in line to pick up a FP for TSM - once at the machines there were CMs handing out FP tickets - yippie, save the ticket to pick up another FP!

So we picked up another FP for Tower of Terror and got into the standby line there.
After riding ToT we walked the park, but it got crowded and we had quite some time to kill before our Fast Pass, so in the end we decided to take a friendship and ride over to Epcot.

We arrived at the International Gateway before they opened World Showcase so walking through England felt like we had the park to ourselves.

And then we spotted this ..........

IMG_4437.jpg

and decided it was time for a hot drink!

IMG_4442.jpg

I had some Hot Chocolate, not as thick and creamy as the one I get for breakfast in Paris, but it was sweet and hot and perfect on a cold morning after you get off a boat (one you had decided to seek a seat on the outside because it was such a nice, but cold day).

Tom had an Espresso and it was a good one. Lots of thick crema and full of taste! :thumbsup2

We sat on one of the Off Kilter benches and enjoyed our drinks, then headed towards Future World and since the lines were a little too long for us we headed over to World Showcase right when they opened it.

Next up - Sharing a meal at Liberty Inn

September 17 - 28 are the dates we have the condo (although we can alter them a little bit). I don't really think Disney will happen, but Marco will be so much fun with Nicki and Todd. Fulton's was left off because with being in Marco we'll have plenty of fish places to go and we usually do Fulton's every other year.

I always stop at this stand...it is my cappucino of the afternoon when he hit this area. Looking forward to hearing about Liberty Tree Tavern.

I noticed that espresso stand for the first time on our recent trip...but I had a hankering for beer and fish & chips at that point so hit the OTHER stand in the UK! :drinking1 Plus, I had already enjoyed a hot beverage at Norway a couple hours earlier...the Viking Coffee!

Good to know the hot drinks are good at that stand. Next time...
