Hakuna Matata, NO Fooling it's April!!

Yeah it's Friday! Quick pop in from work. Busy.....busy......busy.

It was warm enough for shorts last night & it looks like nice weather for Sat. but back to cooler temps for Sun.

Vicky, Enjoy your long run.....remember pears are not good prerace food!;)

Have a great weekend & happy training......Sue

Hi everyone!

Haven't been on line much. I'm so behind on everything! I did manage to send miles to Connie last month though. Last week was a work out disaster for me - I chose martinis over miles on Thursday and then we went out of town Friday and Saturday and never to a chance to walk. I'm determined to do better this week though.

Denise, I'll be in your neck of the woods this weekend. DD has a gymnastics meet at the Goffstown Y. And my SIL said there's a big quilting show there this weekend. Will you be there?

Gotta run, but will try to check in again soon to REALLY look at and print out some of those recipes. I just skipped ahead to page 9 today. I love new recipes!

I've been told it's 70 degrees outside - Whoopee:banana:

Hope to take a walk right after work.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Anne

Anne, I agree the weather here is gorgeous.

I did the 45 minute Zumba class with my friends last night and then turned in early.

Today I did a nice 6 mile run at an easy 8:15 pace in right around 49 minutes.

I am glad folks are having good weather, not us Oh well such is spring in the rockies....

I will be at the Quilt show on Saturday morning. I'm not a machine quilter - that is a long arm machine quilter but there are some nice quilts there and incredible workmanship. I am mainly going there to buy thread. Yes for the non quilter you would think I"m a bit nuts but good quality thread is a necessity for your machine. Cheap thread ravels and gunks up your machine. I also need some hand embroidery thread. Tried out some and love it. Bet I'll drop quite a chunk of change on just thread.

Funny, I don't live far from Goffstown road, I think the Y your going to is on that road. Of course the road itself is quite long. I probably live about 10 min from the Y. It's a nice facility. My massage therapist give lessons there for Yoga, spinning etc.

Remember to buy in NH, it's all tax free...........:rotfl2:

Hi TEAM! :wave2:

Michigan is beautiful also - the boys played outside most of the day. :butterfly Rodney got the new Step 2 play house/activity center put together. I am eager to get their play area organized.

Feeling the best I have felt since January - but the sinus' are still draining.
I am hoping to start training next week. :cloud9:

Scott & Lynn-Great Winter Wonderland Picture! I bet you are wondering when it will stop!

Denise - have fun at the quilt show. It would be nice if you and Anne were able to connect for a few minutes! :upsidedow

I ordered some WISH buttons from Café Press - they came today and I love them!

Vicky-I did order some of the Mickey tote bags :upsidedow

Have a Great Weekend Everyone! :cheer2:

I am glad folks are having good weather, not us Oh well such is spring in the rockies....

Scott....my DD lives moved to Denver in July. I talked to her twice today and all she could say was "We're really getting dumped on here!" Oh well. Many days this winter she had temps in the 60's while we were shivering here in Indiana!

From what I hear, you should thaw out soon!

Good morning Every ONE!

It has poured rain here for 2 days now. My cats are absolutely stir crazy! If Chop were here, they would teach him a lesson or two!

Race next Sunday. I have about 10.5 miles in my two legs. I am worried about my team members. They keep reassuring me they will do just fine. :confused3

Off to work on the other house. We bought the little house next door and they left it pretty much as is. I have been filling up the dumpster for 3 weeks now. I have taken out about 1/2 of the dusty, plastic and silk flower arrangements and have 21 vases, baskets, and assorted containers that was holding them! :scared1:

See ya laters! Connie

Good Morning Team! At least it will be morning here for a little longer!

Still ugly here - Connie - watch out for the tornado's I saw on the news in Texas - don't know if they will hit your area or not. It is not particularly cold, so the snow is really wet, it looks like the streets are covered in slush. But, snow is still coming down, and wind is still blowing, and it looks really ugly out. Scott is already stir crazy - and he has only been cooped up in the house for less than 24 hours! We may even venture out later, just to get out of the house. We are looking forward to tomorrow's warmer temps and sunshine!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Team! Got my 9 miles done this morning! Pace was okay - 11:45 m/m. I really started to slow down on the last 2 miles but I'm glad I got it done! Didn't see too many other runners out there today. I thought with the nice weather there would be more people around but I guess people are up at their cottages?

Margie - Can you send me the link for the tote bags? Not sure if they will ship to Canada but maybe I'll send them to my friend in DC. Glad to hear that your sinuses are slowly getting better :)

Sue - Stayed away from the pears this morning! I went looking for my sugary Frosted Flakes because that's about all my stomach can handle when I go running. Turns out it had been replaced with Raisin Bran which actually has 6g of fibre. Had a tiny bowl and some toast slices instead. Have your renovations started yet?

Connie - That sounds like spring cleaning at my house! What are your plans with the new place? Are you going to rent it out or just use it for guests? Hopefully sunny warm weather is around the corner.

Scott/Lynn - I'm glad to hear that it will be much warmer tomorrow!

Denise/Anne - Enjoy the quilting show! Sounds fun :)

Okay, that's all for me! Have a great day everybody!

Did get out this morning to do my 8 miles. Really slow going. Took me 2.5 hours. Just don't feel nearly as prepared for this upcoming half as I did for the WDW half. I think it's just because there isn't as much drive this time. I mean really, last time there was a trip to WDW involved, this time it's just Indianapolis!

Hey Team, just booked the Poly for the 8-9-10-11th, Jan. 2010 Feels closer somehow. :thumbsup2

Hi TEAM! :wave2:

Beautiful weather here in Michigan. We went on a picnic, walked 2.5 slow-slow miles, and worked outside yesterday. Why is it when you do one thing you notice ten others that need to be taken care of! :confused3

Vicky- I am feeling better than I have since January. I hope this stuff is finally over. I forwarded the page they sent me. My bags have not arrived yet but they sure look cute in the add!

Jack-KWEL! I think my DD is actually packing suitcases :lmao:

Connie-Way to Go Girl-great cross training running to the dumpster!
Race next Sunday. I have about 10.5 miles in my two legs. :cheer2:

Mary-I wish I had registered for the Indy and could do it with you. Have Fun! :upsidedow

Morning Kids, The dogs are fed, the coffee is on, meat in the pan Muffins in the oven and the sun will shine with a high near 55….

All you guys are kicking the exercise slug in the but and getting out there putting in the miles.

I hope to get outside today… If not the TM for sure.

Jack, reservation to WDW are always a good thing….

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

It's cloudy today, although yesterday was gorgeous! I misled you guys badly! I filled the dumpster 1/2 way yesterday with assorted plastic flowers and fruit and silk junk too, and even began throwing baskets away and I have a collection of about 45 of the things now! And I haven't even started on the two bedrooms and bathroom!!!! :sad2:

Vickey- We are going to use part of the house for storage and leave one bedroom and most of the kitchen and living room for guests as needed. :dance3: We actally toyed with the idea of renting it to hunters, but decided not to bother.

Margie- I looked at the relay schedule again. I actully have almost 11 miles to do on my own. I guess that's what happens when you take your family up on their wise cracks....you still get stuck with the LONG distance!!! :lmao: I bet they don't EVER say again that they were sure they could do it! I will be doing more of that dumpste cross training, today!

Lynn and Scott - No tornadoes here. We have had eough calamities here lately!! The burned out farm is turning green. Although there are no bees and the pond is pretty much gross and disgusting and we don't have the pipe in yet to feed it, and the trees are all gone, the wild life returned! Do you guys think the snow will ever stop???

Rpsemont- Welcome back!

Jack - Woohooo!!! Marathon weekend is coming!!!!

Dave and Erica?? Where are you????????? Where is EVERYONE?????????

Well off to clean some more! See ya!

Hello team.

Sweet Captain we are still around, just never seems to be enough time in the day right now. Erica and I are both working every extra hour we can to help the kids get stable and for our mission to get out of debt.

Erica is going to Nashville next week to spend the day with Lisa, (princessrunner) and relax a bit. I'm working every day till friday so I can take friday and saturday for the Country Music Half.

Erica hasn't been training any becasue she hates the tready and it's rained almost eveyday she has been off. Hopefully spring sun will finally come the week after the Country Music and she can ge started. She has the Toronto half at the end of next month.

I try to post something everyday but someday it's not much. Erica hasn't been on the boards since the Disney trip. She has been just losing herself in reading and games.

January can't get here soon enough so we can visit with everyone. We need the break and the escape.

Happy Panda:hippie:

Good Morning Team!

Sun is shining today:banana::banana::dance3:, the temp is supposed to be pushing 60 today! I will get out later with the dogs for a much needed walk. It is still rather cool out right now, with that wind blowing across all the snow.

Connie - hope you can pick up some more bees to replace those you lost on the farm.

Keep up the good work everyone, and have a great day!

Hi everyone!

Morning long run, 13 miles in 1hr 51 minutes. I'll be quite honest I don't know how those of you that only run 10 mile long runs for your half do it. At mile 12 I thought I was going to collapse and I can just imagine feeling like that on race and that was with doing a 12 mile long run last weekend.
Yesterday was rest day and this evening I'm helping with the Pasta Party for the Boston Marathon.
This is my last training week and then starting next monday I'll taper!

Jennifer

Just off the TM 5 miles 50 min. felt good. Wind had picked up even with the sun and temps a pinch warmer.

Whilst on the TM I Started to watch an old TV series we have on VHS, will dub them to DVD, called The Prisoner. It was a 1967 series, one of these 60’s make ya think kind of shows. I thought I heard a rumor of it being remade.

Lynn went into town to meet with a worker of hers, she will do a walk with the pups later. Earlier I finished the Maintenance on the mowers, I also made a big picture of Ice Tea, (sorry ya’all not sweet tea)

My mind has been on our Euro trip for Summer of 2010....planning abounds... Gotta get my head into Peru....
