Hakuna Matata March-ing in like Lions!!

Scott- what are you heading to Huntsville for? That's near my hometown.
Connie- I hope Little Rock is going/went well!

Nice sunny spring day here. I did 9 miles in 75 minutes. (8:15ish pace)

Best,
Jennifer

I'll be there for an ICAC national Board Meeting, I hope there is a nice place to run nearby. I like logging the runs on my Garmin and looking at teh maps after I download them.

Scott- Have you been to NCMEC? What a great program, and I love Old Town in VA. I'm hoping to get down there again next year, P. Banks is a wonderful host.

Hi Everyone! Been MIA for a few days with other things going on. Did some quilting, cooking and general recovering from that blasted cold. Mark and I went to Sams club yesterday and the regular grocery store so we could prepare meals ahead. This morning we did that so it took a lot of our time but in the long run it saves us so much time. Between working, coming home and trying to work out and then make supper it's difficult. So now all I have to do is pop things in the oven and serve them up with a salad at night.

I was getting a bit annoyed with myself for not walking these past 2 beautiful days so we went to the track this afternoon. Did 5 miles and only did 1 mile of real power walking as Miranda joined us to get some exercise in. She doesn't want to get too big for the duration of the pregnancy so a fast walk will help tone her legs and hopefully keep the weight on the baby and not on her! But her fast walk is like my warm up. I guess it's fine for now to get back into the grove. She wants to go again tomorrow but we'll see. lf she doesn't go during the day, we can go at night. It's light enough now so it's safe. Almost all the sidewalks are clear too. It may be weeks b before the snow is gone from the yard but at least we're on the down side. More days like this 60 will help.

I have not sent Connie my times or miles lately so I'll do that and try to be part of the team again.

I really needed a break from walking, and had to come back to my sewing room I've neglected it for 2 years while training and I now have to find a balance. My waistline has suffered the winter so I want to start my 20 miles a week again to return to my pre-winter shape.

I have read a lot of the threads and through the instant email I can see what is going on, but posting is either blocked at work or just won't happen. No big deal, sometimes I just email my responses home and then post when I get here.

Hope everyone had a fab weekend, I did and now my other job, paperwork for Mark's business. He's gone to see his mom, I'm home hitting the books.

I am going to be sooooo sore tomorrow. My friends convinced me to go to an hour strength training tonight with them as a study break. At least I'll sleep well.

Scott- The Huntsville Track Club has area running maps on their website and if you want to be more social I know Fleet Feet does some group runs.

Best,
Jennifer

Hi all,

DH and I did our first walk/run of the season yesterday...a 7K. I just barely made my goal of finishing in under an hour...came in at 59:39.

I'll send the rest of my times for the week to Connie later. Maybe tomorrow. Today was my niece's birthday party, so DH and I went to that. We planned to take a bike ride afterwards, but our tires were flat. We got them aired up and took a very brief ride as it was colder than DH expected it to be. Temps are supposed to be in the 70's Tues. and Wed. so we may try again then.

Have a great week everyone!

The folks a NCMEC know our office well. Good people doing good things. Peter Banks right, I am sure I have met him, Ernie Allen and Michelle Collins have been out to our place a couple of times.

Jennifer thanks for the leads, will see what I can find, I usually try to get out early before stuff starts.

No run today 20-30 MPH wind, we did walk the pups. 5 K

Gotta get up at 0300 for travel. 6 hour energy shots all packed.

YEA CONNIE, you did good. After all the recovering from the shoulder surgey I bet you were really pumped to cross a finish line again.

Hi guys. I haven't done anything exercise wise in three days, gym closed and weather yucky. Tomorrow will be back to the straight and narrow again.

Have a restful evening y'all.

Happy Panda:hippie:

:stitch: 'Ohana Monday Mixer :stitch:

Most WISHers are back from the Princess half, and many of us are going through Disney withdrawal in one form or another....

So, to spread a little PD pixiedust: that will keep everyone moving forward with a Tiggerish bounce in our training steps, tomorrow's mixer question is:

Who or what is your favorite Disney character, and why?

We hope that you feel inspired to post some light-hearted Disney memories on the Team 'Ohana thread. Pictures--from races, recent trips, childhood experiences--and stories are welcomed. And if your favorite character is a Pixar one--or gasp, from some other studio--feel free to share that as well.

Connie- Congratulations!! :thumbsup2

When you get caught up, fill us in (please).
popcorn::

Everyone enjoy the day, hope it's not a typical Monday :scared:

Good morning team! Hope everyone had a restful and relaxing weekend! Got out running finally! Did 3 and 5 miles in running/walking intervals. I think my break was too long because I can't quite do them continuously yet. Oh well, I probably will be able to in a couple of weeks.

Connie - Congratulations! Can't wait to hear about your race :)

Jack - It's not really a typical Monday - the weather is warm and the sun is out! Can't complain about that!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi everyone,

I finish midterms on Wednesday and then get Spring Break on Friday so it's definitely a crazy week.

Connie, Congrats!! Can't wait to hear all about it.

As for me, typical monday routine workout wise. 90 minutes of dance and 60 of strength training.

Jennifer

I will stop by the Ohana mixer in a bit.

Mark, Miranda and I went for 4 miles tonight. We were going to go for 5 but the little Mama was needing a bathroom break so we cut it short. She goes for an ultrasound on Thursday and if the little squirt is facing the correct way we may be able to find out what it is. I"m going along since I've never seen one. They didn't do them in my day unless you were high risk.

We have tomorrow off, 2 days on 1 day off of walking. I have my monthly massage tomorrow so it will be a double good day.

Jennifer, haven't we had good weather the last few days! I'm sure Boston is even better than here in NH.

Connie, still waiting for a report:rolleyes1

Dave - any better down there for temps? It was cooler here tonight but at 45 it was GREAT and the sun was still up for the whole walk

Scott and Lynn - I hope you and I don't get any more snow! We've had enough.

I'm off to the showers.

Yes the weather today was better, rained this morning but this afternoon was nice.

Best luck to Miranda.

Resting Panda:hippie:

Morning Kids, today I am in Deerfield Beach FL, did a 5.27 mile round trip run to the beach this morn, at a 11:31 pace, that is with a drawbridge, traffic, and a gravity storm.

Meetings all day and early flight home tomorrow.

Have a great St. Paddy day.

Denise, Ultrasounds are KEWL you will be amazed, best to Miranda. I remember seeing her on one of the WDW races, I think it was the 1/2. I jus remember running by saying hi and telling her to take care of herself....

Good Morning Team!

Connie, Congrats! You must be so proud.

A little warmer here. Maybe rain tomorrow. I know spring is close saw my first robin on the weekend.

Had a great run on Sunday. Nice temps & sunny.

Have a great day.....happy training Sue

Good morning team! Happy St. Patrick's Day :shamrock: Another day of sunshine and warm weather! Hooray! I plan on running after work - just a quick 3 miler. Worked out at the gym yesterday and did more medicine ball exercises. They always remind me of dodge balls - until I try to catch or stop one

Denise - Best luck to you and Miranda today! I've never seen an ultrasound myself, just the pictures afterward. Enjoy your time off and your massage :goodvibes

Scott - You must have a lot of frequent flier points! I once said to a coworker that it must be fun to travel so much but they told me that the novelty wears off after a trip or two. What's a gravity storm?

Sue - Boo for the forecast of rain on Wednesday! But as my mom would say, it's good for the flowers and grass  Are you still going to the combat classes?

Dave/Erica - Hope you guys have nicer weather on the way!

Jennifer - I miss spring break. Do you have any travel plans for that week?

Margie - How's your training for the Martian coming along? Did you get any new scrapbook pages done?

Eva - :wave2:

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning, TEAM! :wave2:

Michigan is having an awesome Spring Break week - we are supposed to get into the high 60's today back down tomorrow but the break is so nice :upsidedow

Vicky-I did 10.6 miles last Saturday, will get another long walk in this Saturday, and then it's taper mode. Scrapbooking: worked on the pictures mats, cropping, layout, etc but no more actual pages together. :goodvibes

Today-I have what the boys and everyone has had -

Connie-take care traveling! :car:
Scott- may the wind currents be smooth! :upsidedow
