Hi Everyone! Been MIA for a few days with other things going on. Did some quilting, cooking and general recovering from that blasted cold. Mark and I went to
Sams club yesterday and the regular grocery store so we could prepare meals ahead. This morning we did that so it took a lot of our time but in the long run it saves us so much time. Between working, coming home and trying to work out and then make supper it's difficult. So now all I have to do is pop things in the oven and serve them up with a salad at night.
I was getting a bit annoyed with myself for not walking these past 2 beautiful days so we went to the track this afternoon. Did 5 miles and only did 1 mile of real power walking as Miranda joined us to get some exercise in. She doesn't want to get too big for the duration of the pregnancy so a fast walk will help tone her legs and hopefully keep the weight on the baby and not on her! But her fast walk is like my warm up. I guess it's fine for now to get back into the grove. She wants to go again tomorrow but we'll see. lf she doesn't go during the day, we can go at night. It's light enough now so it's safe. Almost all the sidewalks are clear too. It may be weeks b before the snow is gone from the yard but at least we're on the down side. More days like this 60 will help.
I have not sent Connie my times or miles lately so I'll do that and try to be part of the team again.
I really needed a break from walking, and had to come back to my sewing room I've neglected it for 2 years while training and I now have to find a balance. My waistline has suffered the winter so I want to start my 20 miles a week again to return to my pre-winter shape.
I have read a lot of the threads and through the instant email I can see what is going on, but posting is either blocked at work or just won't happen. No big deal, sometimes I just email my responses home and then post when I get here.
Hope everyone had a fab weekend, I did and now my other job, paperwork for Mark's business. He's gone to see his mom, I'm home hitting the books.
