Hakuna Matata March-ing in like Lions!!

We have no dogs (2 "grand dogs", but I don't have any pics) but here is a picture of our cat, Sam. He used to sleep in this basket when he was a kitten, and even though he's too big now, he still tries to occasionally.

This is Moose. He is usually my motivation to excerise because if I don't tire him out he gets very annoying. He likes to run laps around my bedroom at full sprint if doesn't get his walk. He will also decide its more fun to over couches instead of around them.

Love the dog parade. These were my two favorite dogs, now gone from us,but forever in our memories. The smaller one was Sam and was my son's dog, the larger dog was our beautiful Sasha. They loved playing chase with each other.

Sara Rose - So sorry about your beloved Sparky. As you say, good he's not in pain any longer, but hard that you have to start missing him.

Your Jack is quite a cutie. And a multiple-broken tail, huh? Maybe he's predisposed to it somehow?? They did not want to do a full immobilization on Skippy for his toe - at first they wrapped it and said "Keep him still" and I was like - "this is a 10 month old lab mix - you've got to be kidding" So it spent 4 weeks not healing and we had to do another 4 weeks with the big plastic spoon bandage. :sad2: At that point I said "We're going to need some tranquilizers, either for him or for me."

SO many gorgeous WISH dogs!

Debra, Thanks for the doggie treats! They are the most beautiful dog treats I've ever seen!

Everyone's Doggies are beautiful...

here is one of me and my doggy...

She is a Pure Bred Border Terrier and has two obedience titles to her name. SO full name is Windsor's Miss "Mickey" Brite, CGC, CD. Pretty cool huh? This photo was taken about 5 years ago (only one I had currently on photobucket). She is 13 now and has Liver Disease so her hair and coat are pretty much messed up, but she is the best dog I have ever had!!

Here is one of our pooch- Muppet. She is a yellow lab and always up for playing.

Just visiting from Team Ohana to show off Coco, whose photo is in my signature. What great dogs you all have!

Morning team! There's a little bit of snow here - hopefully it will melt by this afternoon! Did a 3 miler on Tuesday in the rain... well it was misty rain but I still managed to get wet :) Have some mud stains on my new shoes too! Heh! My knee is still a little sore - not sure if it's because I haven't run in a while or the new shoes. I'm going to try and get out tonight and maybe do walk/run intervals.

I'm debating whether to do a 5K race - it's $50 and I feel little guilty about spending the money. I keep thinking I should be saving money... just in case ...

Sorry I couldn't make it in yesterday. Everyone has the cutest pups! I had a mini schnauzer many years ago. He was a real sweetheart. I talked to DF about getting a neopolitan mastiff but I don't think we'd have enough space for a couple of years.

Eva - The real estate course sounds interesting! Are you going to be an agent when you're done or does the course have more to do with facilities and building management?

Debra - Glad you said those were doggie treats because they look like human treats!

Margie - Not sure about the elliptical trainer ... I didn't realize it shortens your stride. I read somewhere that faster runners have shorter strides but I don't know about walkers.

Denise - Hope you and Mark are feeling better today! Can't wait until winter and colds are done with!

Lynn - I think we got your snow and cold weather! Hope it's warmer in your neck of the woods today :)

Mary - Glad to hear your DD is on the mend!

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Hakuna Matata!!!

What fun, doggies on parade! I tried to upload a photo of my favorite dog, but was unsuccessful in my limited time for an attempt. I will try again, when I have more time. I had to clear out my computer a while back and scrub the hard drive, so....

Anyway, Kodiac was only half dog. He was Siberian Husky and Timber Wolf. He was 90 lbs of lovable, howling (wolf style) traveling fuzz ball. He went everywhere with us in the back of the pickup. I think I counted one time to see how many states the dog had been in, it came to 20 or 21! He was my protector. He was my Hubby's pal. He passed away a few years back after an action packed 13 years of life. The one thing that we could never change about the dear dog, was that when he looked at cows he saw steaks! He loved to run. That's what he designed for. He could run miles and miles without getting tired. He is missed.

Tomorrow, I leave for my race!!! It should be a lot of fun. In the meantime, it's SNOWING!

See ya! -- Connie

Afternoon everyone!

Well we're finally starting to have sun even if it is not that warm yet.

I got my new shoes (Adidas Bostons) and I love them. I can already tell a difference in my running (the old ones were well past their life expectancy). I did 3.5 miles in just under 28 minutes. Better than 8 minute miles the whole way!

I forgot to add I also did my 60 minute pilates class tonight

Jennifer

Good Morning All!

Things have been a little hectic here, we're doing interviews for new hires in our agency the last two days...... I have a quick story;
After asking the standard questions, I always ask this;

If you could have lunch with five (5) people, real or imaginary, alive or dead who would it be?

I usually get some interesting responses, but yesterday I got the strangest, and I've heard a lot, was Jessica from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Jennifer- Congrats on the new shoes and a phenomenal time.... Yes they are Kings Charles Cavaliers. They are very good dogs- we got them for my DW's birthday and mothers day a few years ago. At first she only wanted one (MAX) he crawled into her handbag. Then when they were ready to take home, I made a pitch for two. They keep each other company during the day.
I got to warn you..... They love their humans. totally lap dogs and affectionate. So bad we bought a body pillow for the head of the bed. They sleep on it and it's not unusual to wake to soft snoring by my ear.

:dog2:

HI TEAM! :wave2:

Where is everyone today? Must be the nicer weather :sunny:
We had a nice day here in Michigan – High 30’s and sunshine :upsidedow

Captain Connie should be in Little Rock – she is doing the Half on Sunday with escape Susie and her SIL…Have fun and get that Bling!

Did gym this morning – bike, elliptical, lower body workout, and walked 3.25 miles tonight. Good Day. Need to get a long walk in tomorrow as the Martian Half Marathon April 5th is coming fast.

Margie, I was wondering the same thing. Where is everyone? Today was my off day and I have an early morning tomorrow.

Best,
Jennifer

Good Morning, TEAM! :wave2:

Looks like everyone is sleeping in - but it's the weekend and it is so nice to have at least one day without the alarm going off...Enjoy!!! :upsidedow

Connie is doing the race in Little Rock - do we have others on our Team doing a race this weekend? :cheer2: :cheer2:

pixiedust: pixiedust: Denise & Mark hope you are feeling better today pixiedust: pixiedust:

Jennifer- :flower1: hope your day is not stressful and the time goes by quickly.

Jack - lots to be said for someone who can give an honest answer - sometimes real life is difficult and our imagination takes flight! :upsidedow
I usually get some interesting responses, but yesterday I got the strangest, and I've heard a lot, was Jessica from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

It is 24 degrees & sunny, but they forecast a high of 48 degrees, so I enjoying my coffee and waiting until it warms up a bit before going out for my walk. I did get in 10.63 miles this afternoon :tiptoe:

Have a Great Weekend - Anne, Connie, Dave & Erica, Denise & Mark, Scott & Lynn, Diane, Eva, Jack, Jennifer, Jen, Jessica, Kathy, MaryJ, Maroo, Nichole, Sue, and Vicky!

Hi guys. Weather and work has been total choas this week. We had our biggest snow this year and then pouring rain. Mix that with 12 hour work shifts and the gym forgetting to open and exercise ain't happened the last couple of days.

Hope everyone is hanging in there and ready for that warm DRY spring to get here.

Soggy Panda:hippie:

Hi team! It's a warm and sunny day in Toronto! Gotta out for my 3 miler this morning and found that I had overdressed for it. I think I could have done without my jacket. I had to keep it zipped up since I put my cell in my pocket and it was moving too much when I unzipped. I had a little bit of knee pain but slowed down or walked each time that happened. I got into a bit of a groove near the end and felt really good! Back out tomorrow for a 5 miler - we'll see how that goes.

Jen - I love getting new shoes too! And WTG on the speedy time!

Connie - Good luck on your race this weekend! Can't wait to hear more about it when you get back.

Margie - That's quite the workout you did on Friday! WTG!

Dave - Hoping you get warmer weather soon!

Jack - That's an interesting question that I never thought about. Do the interviewees have to explain why they chose each person? I think the Jessica Rabbit response seems pretty honest or maybe they were trying to make you smile :)

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Hi everyone!

I did 5 miles in 38:30, sub-8's (7:45) the whole way! Hope everyone else has some of the nice sunshine I had on my run today!

Jennifer

Hey Guys Great pup pics,

So good to hear Anna’s recovery is going well,

Connie, is the Weightlifting fro Dummies book heavy????

Jennifer, you go your are an inspiration to a level I only dream of.

Business, is on the back burner for now as changes in my work.

Sorry for being MIA, some changes here, I was promoted to Team Leader here at work. Like a Lt. level position , and have been swamped on Grant Applications , case work, trial prep, and being in the hot seat on the promotion board. LOL

Jack, I should have had that Jessica Rabbit line, I am not bad I am just drawn that way….. Promotion boards are tough when the quizmasters have known you for years.

I ran into my office today, 9.8 miles at a 11:31 Pace. Felt good, with the new position I will really need to get my rear in gear with the workouts to keep from going nutz. I have the best ICAC crew in the world, and we do some really Kewl stuff.

Hey Jack do you have computer guys looking for a job here in WY??? Kewl I will be getting to ask the questions.

Well I better get some work done, travel to Boca Raton, FL Monday and next week is Huntsville , AL.

Vicky, I also started out with the jacket and was leaking (sweating) a lot at mile 5 and took it off.

Jennifer you are fast.

Lynn was going to get herself and the pups for a walk then come into pick me up.
Weather is warn adn very little wind... Yeah no Wind!!!!

I better get to work.

Good Evening Team!

I have been MIA since last Tuesday. On Wednesday, I spent the day in meetings in Denver and Greeley. Word came down that we needed to get out and start “canvassing”, so, instead of getting to spend time preparing for the class I have to teach next week, I spent Thurs and Fri “address canvassing” in Cheyenne. I did put in about 3-4 miles each day! Between that and dealing with the 2 crew I am currently supervising (until my class – then I will have 15 to supervise!), I did not have much time for anything – the dogs did not even get walked – until today.

Beautiful day here – watered the trees and shrubs – I am sure the nice weather will not stay, we will probably get more snow shortly – just not in the forecast for the next week:banana:

Sorry that I missed the pet parade, I would have attempted to post pictures of our malamutes! All the dogs and cats are really cute!

Connie – good luck on the ½ tomorrow!

Jen - congrats on the shoes and the time!

Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

Scott- what are you heading to Huntsville for? That's near my hometown.
Connie- I hope Little Rock is going/went well!

Nice sunny spring day here. I did 9 miles in 75 minutes. (8:15ish pace)

Best,
Jennifer
