Hakuna Kidani, What a Turtleful Phrase!

Three weeks from tonight we'll be enjoying our dinner at OHana and watching those fireworks!! :cool1:

I will put out one last call about New Years Eve - if you're in Disney on New Years, we'll be at Ohana for dinner and have some open spots left on our reservations. PM me if you'd like to join us! Jill & I will adjust our reservations by mid next week if we don't have any takers so we can open those up for other people who might want to eat there.

Dis-friends, cross your fingers and toes for me. I am looking at a house again tonight that I love and is in my budget, and if all goes well I will be making an offer. I really really like this house, I hope it all works out!

I wasn't too far behind, thankfully.

Looks like a great and fun DIS meet...such beautiful children.

I so missed not getting any shopping time at DTD this trip. I love the Basin store and didn't get anywhere near it. :(

Enjoy your updates whenever you get the time.

Are you enjoying your snow day? I think Metro is closed. Rutherford closed and I came into work late.

Looks like we will be at Opry Mills this Friday afternoon - any chance the girls are coming up? We are also going to check out that jellystone light thing for the first time.

Bummer! Did you figure out how you lost them?

Oh it was completely my fault. I had a bag of stuff that I had bought at DTD on departure day, and accidentally left it on the plane. Some of the items were returned, but some where not. Apparently someone/s helped themselves to the thing/s that they wanted.

All caught up! Enjoyed all the wonderful animal and shopping pictures. I love reading your trip reports when I have the time!

I used to watch Luke and Laura on General Hospital, too, about a hundred years ago. They actually came back to the show and are still on now, I think.

Weather here is not nice. We have had several snows already, which is unusual. Fluffy stuff is fine, but it has been running super-cold, too. On Saturday, for DD's outdoor service project, the high was 20 degrees! Tomorrow morning, the wind chill will be 20 below!!!

I've been enjoying Disney warmth vicariously through your pics and the FB posts of friends now at POP. Ahhh ... thanks! :goodvibes

Hope you're all having a good week! It's so COLD here I can't wait to escape into the FL warmth.

Some pretty exciting happenings in my neck of the woods; I bought a house!! I have been looking for quite a while and saw this place and fell in love. Once I get moved in I'll share some pictures, it's perfect for me. I'm very excited. So after I get home from Disney, I will be packing boxes and getting ready to move. Again. :lmao: Luckily since I was living with Mom and Dad this last few months about 90% of what I have is still in boxes, but that last 10% sure seems to be scattered everywhere. :rotfl:

Too bad you aren't closer. We are having a holiday shop for our students, and we're in the market for people's leftovers and discards.

Many, many, many years ago, I watched All My Children. I don't recall anything about it now. There was another one that was more of a hit at the time. It had Luke and Laura. Was it Days of Our Lives? I don't remember. I didn't watch it, but I saw commercials of it, and it was big in magazine aisles.

I bet it felt good to get out and work some swim meets, huh?

I would love to know that the things I do not need anymore were going to someone I had a connection with. :goodvibes

I am still watching Days of our Lives and General Hospital. Like many soaps I am sure these will "run its course" soon so I DVR it still. Like Lookingup said Luke and Laura are pretty much a GH staple even though they pop back now and then.

It was good to get out and work a couple of swim meets but at first that was my day. S L O W L Y getting ready took me as long as the meet would last. :rotfl:

I can do much more and am slowly getting back into my normal sized t shirts. The oversized ones were much easier to get on and off when you can lift your right arm. I need to figure out what to pack based on weather but what I can on and off easily. ;)

Now that the weather has cleared a bit, I really need to get out and walk. So far Christmas decorations and wrapping and well dealing with one particular kitchen contractor has taken most of my time.

We are definitely in for eating at 'Ohana, but we might possibly be watching fireworks over at the Boardwalk, just to do something different.

Congratulations on your house! That is exciting, and it will be so much fun to decorate it. :)

I am barely getting to the DIS these days, Kathy, so you'd have to be gone for a month to be behind.

I am looking forward to going to DTD and seeing what they are doing with the new construction. ::yes::

Yep, all of our Distown kids are awesome, aren't they? You'll be adding some little ones to these pictures in the coming years, too. :)

They won't be here at all until January sometime. We did our Thanksgiving as they came back from Kentucky, we're going down there for Jill to host Christmas 'doings', and then we're off to Florida! :cool1:

It was my fault that I left my innertubing Mickey in the window at Pop Century, too. I'm still sad that it wasn't found, since I called the very next day.

I love writing them and showing the pictures.....when I have time. I am wiped out at the end of a work and then more work day. Hope you are feeling good, Jill!

It looks like the whole country has been pretty cold - except for Florida. :cool2:

Love the Halloween soaps. Very cool!

I like the soaps for display in the bathroom, but if you use them, the different sections fall out. Still they are cute souvenirs, I think.

Maybe you will be making some Disney purchases for your new home in a couple of weeks. :thumbsup2

I am so ready for warmth. This place has been entirely too cold. As soon as Christmas is over, I need it to be spring. ::yes::

I can take a couple of days in the house during snow times, and I quite enjoy doing nothing, but on day three, I am ready to get out and about.

I'm feel pretty sure we'll do the holiday shop again next year, so if you want to just throw stuff in a box and stick it in the garage, I'll be glad to have it in about 11 months.

Sure wish I could walk with you. I'm not too great at going long distances these days, and my pains come and go, but I sure do like walking.

Just dropping in to say hello. Hope you have no snow down there. I know what problems that can cause for you Southerners. ;)

I have been getting little projects done at home when I have the space and I am not tracking down people for my kitchen. I can finally see the end to this project so once everything gets put back ..... again, I can find permanent homes for the rest of the stuff.

I am sure I will continue to have stuff for the holiday shop, I will save the stuff that will travel well and Maybe throughout the year you will get a surprise or two for the shop. :goodvibes

I talk about it but really need to get moving. They keep talking about a wall of rain for today but then we should get a good stretch of weather. I feel stupid going out one day knowing the next 4 or 5 or going to be a bust. Then I do things at home and consider that enough of a workout that I don't walk. ;)

Less that 2 weeks now or right at 2 weeks depending on when people arrive. :cool1::cool1: :goodvibes:goodvibes

Hi MeMom. Love the DTD pics! I always check out Basin. DH has to stay outside though. The smells get to him.

You mentioned to Pat that if you were home right now you would be watching Hallmark movies. Well since I have been home recouperating I have been DVRing all those movies and watching them. So much better than daytime tv!

Well we are bracing for at least a foot or more of snow here in NH. Should be starting in a few hours. Headed to a friends house for a Christmas party then hunkering down.

Hi there! I know you have been very busy with basketball. Believe me, I can relate in a big way. We lived that life for many years. ::yes::

Today is the coldest day of this week. High about 33, I think, but we are supposed to have 50's most of the week and even 62 a couple of days, so that makes me very happy. I am ready to be in the 70's and 80's of Florida, though. :)

I do not envy all of our Disney friends who are dealing with snow. I am happy that December is almost over so that we can get on through the horrid months of January and February. March is very iffy here, but it's better than January, so I will just push through until spring and hope I don't freeze in my tracks along the way. :cold:

We will be there about lunchtime on Saturday. I think Jill has us scheduled to go to Animal Kingdom before we go to GF for the meet and Park Fare.

Basin has a very strong smell, for sure. You can smell it as you approach the building.

I have Hallmark movies going as I am piddling around the house or doing schoolwork. Sometimes I get the stories and people mixed up, because a new one will have started when I pay attention, and I am trying to figure out who they are in the previous show.... :upsidedow until I realize it's a whole new snowy village and a whole new couple in love. ;)

Hope you have safe travels. I want snow every Wednesday in January and February. Those will be perfect snow days - work two days, off a day, work two days, and then off for the weekend. :)

Sounds good!

Thanks, I am looking forward to moving in. :thumbsup2 I will for sure be on the lookout at Disney for fun things to decorate with!!

Since we did not end up going to do mini-golf, and the weather had gotten better, all the girls went to the Polynesian to watch fireworks.

Another turtleful touch.

Then we went over to Magic Kingdom so that I could get some Vero Beach pins. Remember, they had run out of them at Vero Beach while we were there.

I was the only one with a ticket, so Jill and the girls waited on a bench at the front of the park while I went in.

The Emporium did not have them,

so it was off to the pin shop in Frontierland.

A quick shot of Casey's as I zoomed by.

I scooted in just before it was time for them to close, and I got our pins. In my haste to get in and out quickly, so the girls wouldn't be waiting long, I forgot to go by and get inside pictures of the newly renovated Main Street Bakery. That was my regret for that night.

I was obviously not taking many pictures that night, but I did get a couple that I will call Worn Out.

And now we come to the last day of this trip.

It was not going to be easy to leave this place.

I do not have zebras and ankole cattle to watch in my backyard at home.

Did I mention that there are giraffes here?

I am talking 'bout long-legged, long-necked patched-skinned giraffes right off the balcony! How cool is that?!?!?

Sunrise on the savannah.

Inside.

Outside.

Miss Anita Wigd and some of her little friends.

Looked like a fun meet.
I love the smell in Basin.
Glad you got the pins.
LOL the worn out pics.
Last day is always sad.

i'm not sure your memory is clear about MK. You "zoomed" past Casey's? I think not.....
You zoomed nowhere on that trip.
This was the trip that you could barely walk, my dear!
Perhaps if you had borrowed Tink's zipline...::yes::

Love that view!! I hope to be seeing a similar one in Feb. After MUCH debate, we are booked at Kidani Village. :yay: I want giraffes in my backyard!!

Spoke too soon. Just switched to CSR. So we will visit the giraffes. :goodvibes
