Hey there, DIS college girl! I am glad you are happy and busy at school. I saw a picture of you on FB - I guess it was your Thanksgiving get-together, maybe.
We will just miss you, if you arrive on the 5th. We are leaving on the 4th. If you can tough it out through the winter, spring break is FABULOUS!!!!
I finally have time to reply

We've had a crazy few weeks. Yes, that picture was from Thanksgiving. The day after that, my grandma fell at home and went to the hospital. Luckily she didn't get seriously hurt, but she was transferred to a nursing home/rehab to strengthen her legs so she wouldn't fall again. It's really not safe for her to live alone anymore, so we're setting up home care so she can still live in her house. I love my grandma, but she's extremely stubborn and can be hard to get along with on a normal day, so this hasn't been a fun few weeks. She's not happy about any of this, and she's making sure we all know that

We're checking her out for the day tomorrow. We also found out at the last minute that Christmas is at our house, so we've been doing errands and cleaning basically non-stop since Saturday
In the middle of all of this, I had finals and three papers to write. I spent a lot of time highlighting research articles in the hospital and making flash cards in the nursing home. I have no idea how I did it, but I got everything done
Obviously with everything going on, our January trip is definitely not happening. The new plan is May, after I finish the spring semester. I won't have my exam schedule for a while so we don't have official dates yet. We could've done spring break, but we have a whole list of reasons why May works better, even though it's farther away.
I probably won't have a chance to get online tomorrow, so I'll say it now; Merry Christmas to my DIS friends
