Hakuna Kidani, What a Turtleful Phrase!

Oh boy, Katie, I'll say she was tired. So were those sunglasses! They were sleeping all the way down her little face.
I can't believe how she has grown up before our eyes!

Oh, the magnets!
I'll take Poppins and Marc will have the turkey leg. Not really. Not since he got pooped on by all of those birds while eating one in Frontierland....

Actually some of those magnets came home with me this time...

We're so surprised. :rotfl:

I got John the turkey leg one for a souvenir one time. I saw a Small World one somewhere on something this weekend, so that might move to first choice for me.

I look forward to reading about new and different at Sea World.

It could be a few months, since Sea World was on the far end of the trip.

I love the feel and music loops of Adventureland. One of my favorite ways to end a Disney night is to journey over there really late at night and go on the Jungle Cruise once or twice :)

You have amazing self-control for going to MK and not riding anything.

I was not at all tempted to ride anything, because that is not fun for me without Jill and the girls. What I did want to do is to stay longer and walk around and take pictures, but I really felt wrong about doing that. It's one thing when they can go to the parks and have just gone back to the room for the night, but they couldn't go into the parks, so that made me sad and made me feel bad about getting to be there.

Jungle Cruise has a different feel to it at night, for sure!

You waste space with a half gallon of milk???

Hmmm....... I love a good scrabble challenge!!!

Nice tour of CBR, Pop and AoA.....even the shopping. I'll take the Squeeze Me magnet!

I have to agree, I think the new mine train ride will be a hit! They've really made a lot of progress!

We have been known many times to have a gallon of milk in a styrofoam cooler. The girls eat cereal sometimes for breakfasts before we head out to parks. That allows us to hit rides and shows and get a lot in before they are ready to stop for a mid-morning muffin or fruit or something. I will make this note about the Pop refrigerators: they are not super cold. The milk would really be better off in ice in a cooler, in my opinion. The fridge was fine for keeping cheese slices and salad cooled, but as far as having good cold milk, having it sitting in an ice bath was much more effective.

Hi! :wave2: Sorry I'm late, but I'm very happy to be here! I missed all of the last report :( I'll have to go back and read it at some point. I'm determined to keep up this time I missed my DIS friends!

And I'm late on this too, but congrats to Trent and Brandi

Your pictures are making me miss Disney. It feels like I haven't been there in a really long time, but it was just a few months ago. I think it's because that whole trip was kind of a surreal blur It happened so fast since we booked it less than two weeks in advance. And we were both sick. My mom was sick before we left, and she was fine by the third day. I caught something on the plane, which kicked in right after my mom got better, and I was sick the rest of the trip It didn't slow us down too much though. We still had a great time

Understandably, you were and are busy with school. That's the way it should be. We are always glad when you get the chance to stop in and visit us here, though. :thumbsup2

I get homesick for WDW every time I put up a new set of pictures. Will you be making a Winter 2014 trip?

If you play Words with Friends, my name is almost the same as here...Disneybelle9........I had too many games going a few months ago, so I slowed down, but then got Candy Cru****is! Now I am trying to back off of that! Candy Crush

I think it is quite fun that you produced an ugly word that got *****ed out because the space bar didn't catch. :upsidedow Naughty girl!

I do not play Candy Crush, Farmville, Words With Friends, or any other games. I barely keep up with real life and then a little DIS time and enough FB time to keep up with friends I don't get to see often. FB also keeps me up with the newest things going on in Disney World, since I almost always know someone who is on their way, is there presently, or has just left. Gives me a great Disney fix pretty much constantly. :earsgirl:

Somehow I missed a few updates...now I'm caught up. Enjoyed dinner at CBR. I love that place, and would have been happy to stay there again. However, I'm making the kids happy, so we are staying at their choice - POFQ. That slide just looks like too much fun to them. Lol!

I saw a few magnets I wanted, the Tiki birds win for me. I love getting magnets because they are a cheap and I can pick out a couple of them and they make me happy at home.

Brooklynn loves the POFQ pool! She asks when we are going back there.

Magnets are cheap and useful souvenirs. ::yes::

I said it on FB, but for those who didn't know it here - Happy Anniversary to you and Ben! party:

I am loving this virtual window shopping! I love Disney mercy, even though I hardly buy any! I just love it! And I love the tours of resorts and what not...counting down the days!

There will be many, many, many more shopping pictures in this report. Since we didn't do parks, we did a lot of Disney shopping while we were on Disney property. Well, mostly window shopping - not much buying - but that is still fun.

Lots of fun updates filled with great shopping pics!!! Oh boy I want one of those paintbrush pens-sooo cute.

The more I look at that picture, the more I wish I had one to go through in-service meetings with next week. ;) But like I said before, sometimes Disney pens are really not that good, so we need to get Anita's review on the quality.

Hi all, hope everyone had a nice weekend!

I wanted to post a few quick pictures from Caroline and I at the American Girl store in Chicago - very fun, we had a great time, and as you'll see by the third picture she was tired out! (I was too!!) :lovestruc

With Kirsten; she kept telling the waitresses that it was the doll's birthday too!

The birthday cake: we did the Birthday Girl package and it was awesome - I was very impressed. We took that cake home to her mom, dad and sister, had it for dessert that night AND dessert at lunch today, and there is still some left over!!

This was the "after" picture: One tired girl!

Thanks for letting me hijack, MeMom and Jill! pixiedust: Have a great night, everyone!

Thanks for sharing. No hijack apology needed. We are glad that you guys had this sweet, special time together. We need to take the girls to the AG Store in Atlanta one of these days.

Oh boy, Katie, I'll say she was tired. So were those sunglasses! They were sleeping all the way down her little face.
I can't believe how she has grown up before our eyes!

Won't it be fun when she and Aunt Katie do a few days in Disney World together? :dance3:

After a good night's sleep on the sleeper sofa, I was up and running again in the morning.

Well, not running, but I was moving, and I was not going to waste Disney time hanging out in the room. There wasn't time to go to another resort, so I just walked around Art of Animation.

Empty bus stops.

Cruise bound guests.

Easels ready for beautiful art work.

'Tis very quiet here right now.

Choose a park for today.

I would choose the purple one. :goodvibes

By the way, is anyone else 'bothered' by the fact that Epcot is not listed after Magic Kingdom?

Checking in in the morning has the advantage of no wait.

Snacky things you can have in the room.

I was looking for a pin for Trent and Brandi.

I ended up getting this.

Laptop case.

Other tech type goodies.

Mickey bracelet.

Epcot bracelet.

This is how we are going to feel the first week of school, teachers.

New trivia and riddles for today.

Empty food court.

Tempting?

The fruit speaks to me.

And to quench your thirst, choose one of these.

Kids snack choices.

Mugs that are about to change - not in looks, but in usage.

Outside, the Big Blue Pool is very quiet.

Jill called and said I had a friend who needed her MeMom, so I headed back to the room. I told her to come to the window and I would wave.

Look, up in the 'prison'.

Oh boy, Katie, I'll say she was tired. So were those sunglasses! They were sleeping all the way down her little face.
I can't believe how she has grown up before our eyes!

Haha you're right! Those sunglasses were napping too!

I know, isn't she getting to be a grown up lady?!

I'd play Disney Scrabble with you - nobody in my house would want to play.

The nemo courtyard looks fun!

My pictures through the window of a car never turn out that good, even when I cut the flash off.

The progress at the Mine looks great. Oh, what I would give to be on the opening team of an attraction. It's a shame that I'm not closer or have a smaller car to make that drive.

Those Gaston shirts are hilarious.

Are there really clowns in Storybook Circus?

I like Patriotic Minnie and the ornament shoes. I see myself doing some nail art inspired by those pictures soon. I saved the pictures to my laptop and when I use them, I'll give you full credit. I hope that's okay.

I need some Disneyness in my life. I still haven't had the chance to step foot on Disney property. We did not end up going to Boma on Father's Day.

Aww, I don't remember what the official mug of Distown looks like.

I choose the original Angry bird.

I had a feeling you were going to take the Pop bus.

How will the mugs be changing in usage?

I get homesick for WDW every time I put up a new set of pictures. Will you be making a Winter 2014 trip?

Yup, I was working hard this school year! I made the Dean's list both semesters :) I enjoyed my 7 weeks off, and then started my summer class at the beginning of this month. I made some money doing a little babysitting for Kazin and Caleb and catsitting for a family friend. And I've been getting some stuff done at home that's been on my to-do list for years. So it's been a pretty good summer :thumbsup2 My class ends on August 8th, and then we leave for Vermont two days after that. For the first time in years I'm starting school after Labor Day, so after we get home I'll have a week off to unpack and get ready for school.

I hope so! We really loved going in January. It wasn't crowded at all, the weather was perfect. But I'm already plotting a 2015 trip :scratchin I'm supposed to be graduating in May 2015, and I'd love to do a college graduation trip. But May would probably be way too hot for us in Florida. Because of my summer classes and a class I took in high school, I'm 11 credits ahead right now. If I take a class next summer, I might be able to graduate a semester early. So then we could do a Jan 2015 graduation trip ::yes:: I didn't really care about graduating early before, but now a potential Disney trip is pretty good motivation

I would choose the Jiminy Cricket Magnet & if I could have a second one it would be the Serenade one.

They have new buses now? Are they nice?

The Bowling Pin pool is my favorite. It's almost always quiet around there.

Haha you're right! Those sunglasses were napping too!

I know, isn't she getting to be a grown up lady?!

She's at such a fun age - big enough to start doing some 'big girl' things, but still a sweet, happy little girl. :cutie:

How will the mugs be changing in usage?

There are some clowns who come out briefly and do little performances.

The mug I was talking about is the AK one with the Mickey heads in animal prints all over it.

They are going to put RFID chips in the mugs. The fee will be based on the number of days you want them to work at the fountains, and they will be good at all fountains at all resorts. The down side will be if they put a 'between fills' limit. Sometimes I fill a mug, take a couple of swigs, and then top it back off before I start walking back to the room. If there is a five minute between fill wait, as some have said was the deal with the test run, then that will be annoying. Truthfully, I hardly ever drink sodas as home, anyway, so it will probably be a good thing for me. I will just continue drinking water when I am at WDW, as I should, and I won't have to worry about any hassles. I think the cost for 4+ days is $18.99, so basically five dollars a day if you are there for that time, and less than that per day if you stay longer. If you had a ten day trip, you'd be paying about $2 a day, so that would be worth it, I would think. I guess it will be a wait and see deal for us. We'll probably get mugs and see how it works out in December and then make decisions from there. I wish they would have changed the design. It's time for something new.

Too bad about the Father's Day meal. :worried: We need to get you back over there on Disney property. :wizard:

:cheer2: for your good grades! Yes, a graduation trip during cooler weather would be very nice!

The Bowling Pin pool is my favorite. It's almost always quiet around there.

Yes, they have new buses rolling out little by little. I think I have been on 2-3 now, and they are basically the same as the others, as far as I am concerned. I have little expertise on buses, though, so I couldn't tell you anything about engine power or anything like that.

We have a fondness for the Bowling Pin area, as well.

AOA is very peaceful in morning too. The fruit and snack looked great. Was that mango I saw or cantaloupe in the fresh fruit? I like cantaloupe ok but I love mango.

The wedding pins are so cute. Someday when my girls get married they will really love getting one. My son, not so much.

You could put me in that "prison" anytime.

You went to bed shopping and got up shopping, I like that! And what cuteness looking out through the window.

I'm not exactly sure what kinds of fruit they had. I am opposite of you - I like cantaloupe better than mango. Watermelon trumps all fruits in my book, though! :goodvibes

Yeah, Brandi would probably have been okay with a cute little Mickey and Minnie figurine set, but Trent would have thought it was stupid. I thought what she might do with the pins is snip the back 'stick' off and make them into magnets.

I was okay with the prison for one night. Not sure about how many nights I could stay before it bothered me.

You went to bed shopping and got up shopping, I like that! And what cuteness looking out through the window.

Like I said, with us not going into parks, that limited my photo opportunities, so shopping was an easy thing to do.

Aren't they sweet? They were just grinning!

Yet another fun update and more heavenly window shopping. I showed Mark your pictures and he is now kicking himself in the butt for NOT listening to me and getting the Iphone last year so when he upgraded next year he could get the Iphone 5 and get the MINE MINE case. I think as his punishment, I should upgrade to the Iphone 5 since mine is up soon and get the case for me. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Awwwww....look at MeMom's friend waiting for her to come back. :goodvibes

I do wish they'd change the design with the new "chipped" mugs, it would be nice to have something new or better yet, resort specific.

Prison.

:rotfl:

You are one early riser, MeMom! I am not sure I spotted another soul in your pictures. Thank you for such a lovely and serene tour of the resort. It really looks so fun!! Except for those prison windows...an exterior hall or balcony would have been nice. ;)

Love the pins you selected for Trent and Brandi!!

Oh, and, yes, I am extremely troubled to see DHS listed before Epcot on the bus signage. Clearly Epcot should be listed second. ::yes::

The suite is sweet.
Love that food court. That surf and surf burger is so good and so sad I will probably never eat another one. Oh well sacrifices need to be made. LOL
Pool time looked like fun.
CBR is so pretty.
Nice you got to go to MK and the rest relaxed. I would have to after that drive.
I want that entire beauty and the beast place settings.
I cannot wait to ride the mine ride.
Looks like they have more merchandise that is new and I want it all. LOL. Hopefully some of it is there in December.
I want that MINE, MINE, MINE iphone case. It will be mine, mine, mine when we go down. LOL
All caught up. Thanks for the shopping pics and all the others too.

Thank you! We had a nice day!

:)

Trent is always making fun of my phone. I still have an old flip phone. I will probably upgrade within the next couple of years. It would be nice to put decent pictures on FB when I am on WDW trips.

We always have connecting rooms, and then this summer we were fortunate enough to have the cottage and multi-room places to stay, so Bella makes a beeline for my room as soon as she wakes up. Sometimes, she and I will take a morning walk together while the others are still sleeping or getting up slowly. She wakes up with a smile and is ready to go, so she is my little morning buddy.

I do wish they'd change the design with the new "chipped" mugs, it would be nice to have something new or better yet, resort specific.

:rotfl:

I was disappointed that they didn't come up with a fun new design. I guess that's the Disney geek in me. ;)

I'd love resort specific mugs again, but I am also glad that they are making the new mugs usable at all resorts.

The resorts are so peaceful in the early hours, and I enjoy watching them come to life little by little. At first, the only people out are cast members cleaning the pools or doing landscaping. Rabbits, ducks, and squirrels have the run of things. As the sun begins to lighten the sky, a smoker might come out for a fix, an occasional jogger will be out, and sadly, there will be people rolling their luggage toward their cars or to luggage services. I always feel sorry for them. :( Little by little, groggy mug-laden guests make their way to the food court to fill up on coffee. It's a whole process that I have seen many times in many resorts, and as odd as it might sound, it is enjoyable to watch a resort come to life for the day.

What would be the reasoning for them to put Hollywood before Epcot? I am intrigued by this order.

I like the fab five pin it might need to come home with me on our next trip.:goodvibes

I think you should have it. ::yes::

The suite is sweet.

CBR is pretty. I need to actually stay there one of these days!!!

There are so many things to want in WDW. By the time I pay for my flight, room, and food, though, there is no souvenir money. :sad2:
