Hakuna Kidani, What a Turtleful Phrase!

Prayers are with Jill, as you make decisions about the route to take with this fight.
Just know that so many are with you in spirit...

Doreen, I hope you can have your surgery and get on with enjoying life.

We really did get some great pictures of the kids out on the deck, Daisy did such a nice job with the babies!
Vero also has a nice character breakfast! Wish we had been there for that...

I might need to get into my pictures and find some of MeMom since she is posting some funnies of Marc and I. :scratchin
I have no idea what song they were singing. I was way too busy on my phone. :rotfl2:
Next summer, I want to go to Brevard Zoo. It looks like fun!

Thanks Anita. It has been 10 years now that I was diagnosed & dealing with flare ups. I think today when I see the doc he will admit me to the hospital for a few days since the prednisone is not clearing it up. I am done going through this & decided that surgery is the only way to go now but need to get into remission first. AND we leave for Disney 4 weeks from this Friday so I need to get better fast. I still feel fortunate though that it is not something more serious as others are dealing with.

MeMom Dawn may not like all the bird pics but I sure do!! I love feeding all my finches, cardinals, swallows, wrens, morning doves & even blue jays as they come to my feeders. And my favorite the Hummingbirs!!!! I have had a slew of them this year & cannot keep the feeders full of nectar for long. And they fight over it! My DH & I sit on our porch & watch & enjoy their craziness.

Have a good week all!

MeMom, I wanted to stop in and say thanks for the birthday wishes on Facebook. I know I'm sporadic on my Dis activity and we haven't been Facebook friends for too long - I figured if I thanked you in both places it will help tie my real name to my lovedonaldduck name :)

I finally made it back on. I was trying all day yesterday to turn my computer on and every time I tried something stopped me. Memom asked me if I had anything to add about Vero. The big "kid" Daisy and Louie are mine, I am going to see if I can put some pics in we took. Hopefully it works.
We drove up from Miami. It wasnt a hard , long drive but it is tricky to get there the first time. The kids had no idea where we were going until Daisy caught sight of this sign.

This is right in front of the main lobby. The kids really thought it was cool that very softly they have the Peter Pan music playing here.

It was a beautiful day!

We then got to meet some fun people.

More with the fun people.

Memom - Great minds... Have to take butter pictures.

I thought my Louie could eat but Sophie out ate everyone. lol

Lots of fun after dinner.

And then the kids changed for the ride home in the locker room. I really do not know why I took this picture but it really was a nice locker room lol

I tried not to double any pictures Memom already put up. Vero was really a beautiful resort. The kids were all so good and funny. Even my try to be tough teenager had fun being with all the kids. Anita offered us the room for the next night as they were leaving early. I wish we could have taken her up on the very sweet and awesome offer. :( It was so good to meet everyone!! And now that I know what is there in Vero there may be more character dinners in store when we need the Disney fix!!

Oh if you click on that last picture of the slide it should take you to a short video if I did it right. :)

Oof. Zip lining over gators? NO THANKS!

Beautiful pictures! Love seeing all the animals.

Thanks for posting more pictures. Looks like everyone had a great visit. The slide video is too cute.

Prayers for JillyB - I hope you have a chance to peek in on here and see all the DisTown well wishes as you face this fight :flower3:

I didn't know pirates could be so cute! Miss Anita Wigd did a great job on the shirts! I have to agree with the others on the ziplining over gators...no thank you!

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. They really mean a lot to me! And MeMom, as I told you on Facebook I love your cheers! :goodvibes

Last Thursday I received a diagnosis of breast cancer. It is also in the lymph nodes. I have no idea what any of this means as of now. I spent all last Thursday in a state of shock and sheer terror. Saturday I got to spend a wonderful afternoon with my beautiful daughter, Hannah, seeing The Lion King. It was so awesome! We both enjoyed the show and spending time together. Tomorrow I see a breast specialist to see where we go from here. Clay has been wonderful through all of this.

Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers!

Hello, Just catching up after a wedding in Pennsylvania. Humidity like Florida, but the Bride was so happy the rains stayed away. Horrible rain on our way back through parts of Pennsylvania, better in New Jersey, no rain on Long Island yet, but there was a rain delay at the Yankee game, so guess it is on its way. That is a 3 state weather report! LOL! We had lots of happy times the past few days, as we joined my cousin in celebrating the fact that she lived to see this day, and walk her daughter down the aisle with her husband. She is a 15 year kidney transplant survivor, who is on the list again for a second replacement. She is always in our prayers.

Prayers and Pixie Dust for Jillyb. :tinker:

Love the Vero beach pictures! And most Long Island schools have not started yet. Teachers reported last week, most schools start tomorrow or Wednesday. But they go until mid to late June.

Hope everyone has found some time to enjoy life this weekend. I certainly enjoy my time on the disboards, and in particular, MeMom and company!:grouphug:
Looking forward to meeting some Disers IRL this month on the DVC Cruise!

Hope your weather has calmed down.

Prayers for your cousin as she goes through her transplant.

Lots of kids started school this week. There were many FB pictures!

I hope you meet many nice people on the DVC cruise. Trent is trying to convince me to take a cruise....as are a few other people. ;)

The party looked like fun.
The dinner looked like fun. ROTF you stuck into your bag. That is hysterical but good for you.
Pearls go with marshmallows. LOL.
Hey I helped pave the way for the zoo. LOL
Great animal pics.
The zip lining looks like fun.
All caught up again. Have a great Labor Day.

We told Jarvis about the meat heist at dinner on Sunday. He thought it was hilarious. The difference, though, is that I took the rap in my case. With Jarvis, his mom made his sister carry it out in her purse! :rotfl:

It was nice to have the three day weekend, and now it is nice to have a four day week! :thumbsup2

The Capybaras are so cute! I just love rodents for some reason. I literally would be totally okay having a pet rat because I think they are cute no matter how devious the things might be.

Yay for the 'Mingos and water birds! They really are so pretty, I agree.

Agh, another snake! "Snakes, why did it have to be snakes?"

And that one was a heckuva snake, too!!!

No pet rats for me. I suppose they are cute, if they are pets. It's the little field mice that get in our school that give me the creeps. The maintenance people put out sticky pads, and if they run on them, they squeal, and it's horrible. I just wish they would understand to STAY OUTSIDE and save us both a lot of trauma!

What a super photo!!!

You can’t beat a party where Goofy shows up! :goofy:

I like it!!!

:woohoo: …….a big DISTown congrats!!!

JillyB, thoughts and prayers are with you my friend! Hoping you face this monster and slay it quickly!

Looks like a fun bonfire get together, and something for everyone???

I really like these, and what a great way to recycle bottle caps!

Looks like another really nice zoo!

Driverway? Seriously???

You mean besides hold my nose???

Always enjoy the birds, and these are some really pretty ones! Well, the Eagle isn’t as colorful, but how can you possibly leave an eagle out………. ???

The emu wasn't exactly beautiful, but I'm sure it had a wonderful personality. :goodvibes

It was nice to have the character meal available, and it was even better to have Disney friends to share it with.

Very nice zoo. Looks like there were lots of vegetation and somewhat shady. They also have great signs with lots of interesting information, not boring.

Enjoy the rest of your day off before heading back to work.

There was a lot of shade there, which was very nice and much needed.

Prayers & hugs to JillyB.

S'mores, yum!! What a fun way to end an evening!

I love a zoo -- this looks like a nice one! I agree, that bright red bird is pretty cool.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. My siblings & I (minus our brother in Hawaii) rented a house in Northern Wisconsin for the weekend. It was very nice & we had a lot of fun. The boys were disappointed they didn't see a bear wandering around as we were really in the wilderness, but us girls were just fine with zero bear sightings.

I saw a video just in the past few days where a small bear climbed right up to a guy in a tree stand. He filmed the whole time, and the bear just went down on its own. Then he pointed the camera toward himself and softly said some appropriately inappropriate words.

Just....why? Why not over a beautiful, lush, green forest WITHOUT gators? I really want to zip line at some point but definitely not over gators!

You know me so well! I will admit that I was hitting the "down" arrow rather quickly during that update.

No You flying over gators, and no birds flying over You. Got it! :thumbsup2

Next time, we'll do the character breakfast. :thumbsup2

I'm not nearly as cute as you two, so no pictures of me, please.
Didn't you sing and dance to one of the songs?

Well, in all fairness, Dawn was attacked when she was younger, so she has a legitimate fear. I seem to have a decent relationship with our feathered friends, on the other hand, so they do not scare me. And I agree, I think some of them are beautiful.

Hope you are able to DIS a little from your hospital bed. :goodvibes

I put the names together. Sometimes I can't, though, and it bothers me. I have some FB friends that I know are through DIS/Disney, but I am not sure how.

Too bad the timing didn't work for you to take that room.

Mickey butter is better butter, right?

Sophie ate a ton of stuff that night. Later that evening, when she ended up going to the hospital, my immediate thought was that she was possibly having an allergic reaction to some kind of spice or sauce.

Thanks for sharing your pictures! Wish we were poolside again right now!

Oof. Zip lining over gators? NO THANKS!

Beautiful pictures! Love seeing all the animals.

What if we assure you that they are well-fed before you cross over? :)

Thanks for posting more pictures. Looks like everyone had a great visit. The slide video is too cute.

That was a fun little ship/slide/play area. I always say I am going to take more video, and then I always don't do it. :upsidedow

I was hoping Pat was keeping her posted.

I'll have to brush up on my twirls and tumbles. I bet I can tumble.....but I am not sure it would be the right kind of tumbling. :crazy2:

So I am taking it that Distown is not having a gator pond???

We're here for you for whatever ways we can be. Keep us posted on what the doctors say as much as you want to share and not share. It is good to hear Clay is there for you. From your FB banter, it seems like you guys are pretty cool with each other.

Oh yes I am able to keep up from my hospital bed. They also brought me in a recliner so that's where I spend a lot of my time :).

I'm all caught up again.

What a wonderful birthday party. Everyone looks like they are having so much fun.

The Brevard Zoo looks really nice. Would love to check that out some day.

Pirates and food...can't beat that! ;)

Us, too, Jill. We will be covering you up in thoughts and prayers tomorrow!

It's always fun to check out a new zoo. :) This one had me especially interested because it had native Florida animals, and I have a big spot in my heart for all things Floridian. :cool2:

Glad you got to come by for a visit. We did have fun at Sophie's birthday party. For Trent's birthday, I thought of a Last Summer Luau theme the day before, so all he got was an Aloha sign on the wall. I did, however, have a surfboard craft, and I pulled out the bowling for pineapples game I had stuck away in a closet. ;) The girls enjoyed that for a minute or two, but it was too crowded to really do it right.

Here are a few from Trent's teeny tiny celebration.

Decorating surfboards.

We ate BBQ chicken with pineapple, rice, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn on the cob, Hawaiian rolls, and banana pudding, because that is one of his favorite desserts.

Big or small, big top or Luau,

Memom parties always ROCK!!!

:goodvibes

Even in the smallest of spaces, you still manage to pull off a great party, MeMom! Love the surfboard idea! :thumbsup2

Notice we were in the kitchen. It was a little bit of Wilderness Lodge and a little bit of Poly!

If I could get Drew to move two motorcycles and 5,849 tools and parts out of what once was a den, I could reclaim it and have a bigger space! I want to decorate it in Caribbean Beach attire, but right now it's decked out in Early American Motorcycle. :headache:

I may have to threaten to slash his tires to get him to put it all out in the barn. :rolleyes1
